Yes exactly! I just showed how sometimes you can have a vision and it doesn't go as planned so I always encourage not to give up just to start over fresh 😁
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
So my woodworker brother gave me this tip...after sanding, use a wood conditioner. Dry and then apply your stain! Will help with blotchiness and streaky. He says this happens a lot on cheap wood/pine/manufactured pieces. Thought this would help for next time
I watched this video months ago and something you said has stuck with me ever since. You said "You cant stop midway, you have to finish. Because your looking at all the flaws, you have to see the end result" Girl, when I tell you I think about that saying ALL THE TIME!! I'm a hairstylist and a crafty crafter lol and when I tell you that saying pushes me through EVERYTHING!!! And when I came across this video again and heard you say it I had to let you know. You never know what little things can effect someone
Thank you so much for this comment it means a lot 💕 I try my best to be uplifting and find positives in everything because I hope one day my kids will do the same.
And Karrie does it again, knocked it right out the ball park with another beautiful diy that I love. The round table fits perfectly in that space, I wish I had your talent you do such wonderful farmhouse chic looks.
I am refurbishing an old wood truss table that was giving to me! I went to walmart yesterday and got everything on your list. I bought the white kilz paint instead of the platinum ring and ivory, steel, and walnut on the Waverly paints. I've never repurposed furniture before but I've always wanted to. Your video gave me the confidence to do it...I appreciate you. Your table came out GORGEOUS BTW!!! Thanks!!!
Thank y'all so much for the sweet comments so far it means the world to me 💕 I just talked about the other table on my Instagram if you wanna know where it's at @budgetfam2
@@navara6969 thank you for responding to the comment I really appreciate that. EVen though I try my best it's getting hard to get back to every comment.
Your dining table and chairs came out great! Please don’t be hard on yourself. The time and effort that you took into refinishing each piece shows🙂. I hope you and your family make countless memories at your dining table!
The good news is it's your table, your project and you can do anything with it you want to do with it... especially if you get joy from doing it. Looks great!
Wow! Yes! High praise your words are VERY much needed and appreciated! You did wonderful and all and all the best part is your family sitting with you at this Beautiful ❤️ 🤗 table enjoy the moment your in!
Great job, we just picked up a table like that at a moving sale for 20 bucks and we also got a dark finish sleigh bed that I'm going to refinish both like this.. Thank-you so very much.
if you use a wood conditioner after sanding, the stain comes out a even color. Just something to consider if you want to try a different project with stain. I found it really makes a difference.
Julie Carter This is a random question but it if I’m not using a stain, should I still be using a wood conditioner before I use a finish on a raw wood table or does that not matter?
I'll be honest, I didn't think I was going to like this, but the finished product stunned me! I've watched a lot these videos lately, and this is, by far, my favorite.
I love it. I was afraid to paint my table but after watching you switch your mind on the color and it still turned out amazing. Now I'm not afraid anymore. I know if I change my mind, it can still turned out good
I recently bought the Platinum Ring paint and your project is the second one that I have seen to show the beauty of this paint color. I was a little hesitant b/c of how blue-grayish it is but OMG, I am in love with this color. Thank you for showing how to tone down the blue hues and swing it more in the gray area while illuminating the beauty of the color all at once. I love your DIY ADHD!!! I am the same way when it comes to changing my mind halfway through a project...EXCELLENT JOB!!!! I love how this project turned out.
I found this video like a month ago and saved it. Currently working on my kitchen table doing exactly what you did because I loved it so much! Thank you so much for the inspiration! You did a phenomenal job on this table!!
I can’t totally relate to not committing to the process at times and giving up easily. I commend you on sticking through and not giving up because this is beautiful! Great job!!
Wow! This is beautiful! It matches so well with your floor and decor. 💕 I've been off social media for awhile, but I always find my way back to your channel. I just scrolled through your videos and this one jumped out at me. Very well done! You are such an inspiration. Now off to binge watch some more. ❤️ When you were talking about your technique, around the 09:25 mark, it reminded me of Bob Ross and his happy little trees. 😊
Love the way this turned out! To me, the solid grey looked cold so your decision to add the greys and nutmeg made the set look warm and cozy. Great job!
Man at first I was so sad when you covered over the first stain and was so not a fan of the chalk paint. I was not seeing the potential but man that Final product was beautiful! Awesome project.
It would be cool if you showed a picture of it when done :) i am getting into doing my kitchen table and chairs too and every i mean literally every sealer i read reviews on say it dries yellow so please let me know what sealer you use and how it turned out :) good luck
I did one of my kitchen chairs and hated the look and gave up. I figured I would have to buy new chairs. You inspired me to try again and not give up. Love the table!
This table is just AMAZING! Absolutely PHENOMENAL!! I'm stunned! Ive seen similar colors of dinning sets in furniture magazinez but its the actual wood design. I couldnt afford the actual set but my heart has been dying to figure out how to do it. Yoir video is LITERALLY an answered prayer. Lol You just made a subscriber out of me.
I have that same table set and painted it as well but I didn’t know I had to seal the paint 🤦🏾♀️ I’m going to get some tomorrow and try again!!! Thanks ❤️
I love this! It looks amazing. Thanks for the tips and product recommendations. I’ve been wanting to paint my kitchen table but have been so scared to. Watching you paint your tables and hutch is finally giving me the courage to take on a diy. Thank you! 😊
😢 omg i have my parents table too, and I was going to do the same thing, sell it but then I thought on painting it that’s why I’m watching this video 😂
Wow! I love it! That is so beautiful! I hope you realize how talented and gifted you are. You make everything look so easy but I don’t know if I could do that with the ease that you do. I love the table and I love this video! 🥰
When I started watching this video I thought you were crazy I thought what is this girl going to do to this poor table I loved the result in the end. I thought it was amazing you rocked it
Wow I was very impressed with your completed project! Your finishes are very artistic--not just painting a solid color and leaving it at that. Also I appreciated what you said about just pushing through and finishing a project. Something I'm going to take to heart lol :)
❤ any hand-painted artistry is a one-of-a-kind thus making it unique! You did a beautiful job! And I have to laugh because I will sit and look at a piece halfway through trying to determine which way I'm going to go. That's just to save me from myself, hahaha I struggle with committing to the decisions I make
This looks really good and gave me great ideas for an old door that my husband and I are refinishing! We’ve been stumped as to how to refinish it and you gave great inspiration! Thank you well done :)
I thought you did a wonderful job! The table is beautiful 😍. I want a farmhouse table for my home and I just may thrift and diy one myself simply because your video was so inspiring. Thanks for sharing ❤️
This makes me wanna do my table instead of just buying another one..cuz who are we kidding...it costs some money to buy another dining room tbl..lol..thanks for the pointers!!
You should be extremely proud of yourself. That turned out so stunning. I had my doubts at first but, wow! Did you ever pull this project off. Just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing
😍And I’ll say it again!!! 😁Your talent is simply amazing. This is truly your gift and you’re very humble about it. This needs to become a business for you. You’ll be so successful. I love how it turned out. But I already knew to expect something unique and beautiful. Kudos to you.🙌🏽
This turned out truly gorgeous!! I already had plans to attempt this on my table but have been putting it off. This just inspired me to get on it! Thank you!
That was my first thought. The table will camouflage directly into the floor. A cobblestone or mexican slate tile would contrast beautifully. How are you at laying tile?
It looks fabulous! I bet your husband is very proud of you! And to undertake these things with small children is even more awesome! I’m a granny now so I know!! Go you! ❤️
So then are you saying that the stain part was unnecessary for those of us wanting to do our table like this? Love this table and your channel!!
Yes exactly! I just showed how sometimes you can have a vision and it doesn't go as planned so I always encourage not to give up just to start over fresh 😁
BudgetFam oh perfect I see! Thank you I want to do this to my table now. Thanks for the inspiration
After you sand your project, use a wood conditioner on your project, before you put the stain on
keep up the great work for real

Yes so true for sure. After I tried wood prestain I've used it everytime I stain something.

I love that stuff

You did awesome. Looks like the stuff they are selling for thousands at the furniture store. The distressed look is all over right now.
I love it
It looks great !!!!! Good job !!!! Don’t be so hard on yourself! It looks better than a store bought plain solid color.
Looks great....did you sell your other table? I think you could make a little business out of refurbishing furniture. You do a great job.
Wow! This turned out nice. This is one of those things where you def have to trust the process
