I think they’re doing just fine , kpop is such a fast industry and no one can be the no1 forever so if we look at it from that angle i think itzy are still big and successful
@ i agree with u on gold but i dont think its the worst they’ve come out with i feel like it could have been better than what it was had they did the chorus differently
@daniellenewby3169 i think they should have stripped the rock parts and just made a hip hop song. The producer is a hip hop producer and I think JYP/div 2 interfere too much with these producers. Weak choruses has been a problem for a while along with poor choice of title track. Supernatural and Vay i think should have been the title tracks.
Saying ITZY flopping but people will always mention or talk about them shows that haters care tremendously 😂 Clickbait is clickbait and haters will always hate while the loving supporters support always. Those who love ITZY will always love ITZY! ITZY! MIDZY NAIJA!
Reasons why itzy haven’t been the same in my opinion (from a midzy) 1. In 2022 a lot of groups from big companies debuted and it took the attention away from Itzy. Coincidentally so it was the same year sneakers was released and it made casual listeners disappointed. In the previous years 2019, 2020 and 2021 Itzy were at the top of the game because there was less variety of groups to clash with them. 2. Loco set the bar too high, even if they released untouchable or cheshire after loco I believe it would have still been unsuccessful, so I think sneakers wasn’t the problem. 3. not shy era was when some fans left, it was the beginning of the genre switch. I believe if jyp kept the love yourself/teen pop concept Itzy would have gone higher.
Loco did set the bar too high and that’s why I left :( they had. That love yourself concept and now idk why it is… if they dedicate their music to this concept it’ll be more succesdful
You are not a MIDZY and your take is wrong. Sneakers is their best charting song since dalla dalla, and their 1st million seller album. They followed that up with 2 more million seller albums each doing better than the one before. Casual listeners are not album buyers. International fans from English speaking countries account for less than 8% of ITZY and kpop sales in general so your opinions are not valuable to anyone but yourselves. In 2022 the covid restrictions ended and it was profitable to debut groups because concerts and paid events could be held again, people were also not TRAPPED inside with nothing but streaming to do. ITZY's SNS accounts followers and subs, indicate fans did NOT leave as you said during not shy, the opposite is true. You can't claim to be a MIDZY and be this uninformed.
In 2019 to 2021, there are as much variety as there is right now. ITZY's competition back then was 3rd gen too and they won against many 3rd gen groups with well established fandoms which is something that is amazing for a rookie group. Blackpink, Twice and BTS were peak in 2019 and ITZY even fought with them in the Award Shows. The reason for everything right now is simple, it's the lost of the gp's attention which happens to every other groups after years, it's not something bad but Kpop stans made a big deal out of it and antis took the chance to trash on them because they are threathened that these girls could achieve more than their biases and they don't want women to succeed.
Since I've been watching ITZY's career since pre-debut, it's not a surprise that the group is in the state that it's in now (not exactly flops, but not exactly leaders of their generation like some people predicted they would be) and you're right about the reason why they aren't as big anymore. The reception for their title tracks has been divisive since MITM era and they were just lost in the girl group bloodbath during 2022. I mean, 2022 had G-IDLE coming back with a bang with Tomboy, IVE having an explosive debut year (especially with Love Dive, which won song of the year multiple times) and NewJeans literally popping out of nowhere to become one of the most talked about groups of the year. Itzy before could recover from the divisiveness because there wasn't too much competition (their only real competition was G-IDLE before the 2022 boom, aespa who was building up momentum after Next Level (and Savage to an extent) and IZ*ONE who was a project group who always had a limit on their run as a group), but with these groups that have achieved more than what ITZY has (ex. IVE beating ITZY's music show debut record at 7 days and 13 total music show wins after Eleven era ended, compared to ITZY's 9 days and 9 total music show wins with Dalla Dalla), ITZY couldn't keep up and haven't caught up since.
In big year 2025 and yall still talking about itzy being a flop? Flop group that sold-out more than 1 million albums,9 most streamed kpop group in spotify is that flop for you?
P.s overlooking hard work and hating on a particular song does not make you iconic, you knew that? And stop trying to act like adult, kid, you have to grow up first.
And also a big part of it is because look at all of the groups that debuted since itzy debuted. Many talented groups. Nowadays no group stays at number one forever.
If JYP wouldn’t have released Sneakers it wouldn’t have been their downfall in their career. The group got huge amounts of hate after Sneakers came out saying it’s another kids bop song and thought the song was stupid itself. If they would’ve released Racer instead of Sneakers they would’ve still been in their Loco era which made them blow up crazy. It seems like after Cake people really stop following Itzy. And that has to do with all the summer songs they’ve released except for icy. And this is where JYP comes in and doesn’t try hard to promote them. Cake and sneakers were the reason and that’s because people don’t like summer songs and they think they suit the girl crush concepts. That’s why with every concept they’re never going to succeed as much as they used to because JYP ruin them and the public doesn’t like their new music. There’s really nothing they can do to fix their success unless JYP starts promoting them excessively.
Exactly. The issue is loss of their teen crush concept and dance music sound. After Sneakers failed JYP refused to give them back their sound and concept. Presumably to keep them down so Twice would renew their contracts. Or possibly to not compete with NMixx who debuted that year. JYP is trash.
@hailsy04209 wrong. The Checkmate album sold a million copies and sales aren't based on song performance. The song itself flopped everywhere but Korea and was the beginning of a downward trend. Cake did vastly worse even in Korea. And even the sales fell off with Born to Be and Gold.
ITZY still has great songs... but these songs are B-Sides, while their title tracks have been pretty weak for quite a few years now. That is poor production from JYP
Itzy flopping? Yeah riiiiight! Their born to be tour was a massive success! And now their gold album is great! Itzy is a very solid music group with a massive world wide fan base. Maybe they are not the number one to female kpop group. But they are maintaining in the top five since their debut! Irzy is going to be around for a while! They are very solid performers!
I think the reason people say itzy is flopping (which I agree) is that when they debuted everyone went like “Wow JYP is starting 4th generation for girl groups and is promising to do something different”. Everyone had their eyes on ITZY. Wannabe was their peak. I remember at this time wondering if they would do as big as blackpink since they had a very promising career. Monster rookies. Tbh the divisions (among the public) between liking their music and absolutely hating it have been there since Dalla Dalla era. But after Not Shy it became stronger and after Sneakers the “disliking their music” side won. After that they never recovered from the hate wave. Hate turned into alofness (mainly coming from the general public). They may keep increasing their numbers but (just like Twice as 3rd gen monsters) they are not the main act they used to be when 4th gen started. Aespa, Ive, New Jeans, Gidle, Lesserafim are all growing bigger and bigger and switching between the no.1 girl group in the spotlight but itzy is just not there anymore. That’s kinda sad because if JYP didn’t suck they could just like Aespa and Gidle (oldest 4th gen groups) keep their popularity and increase even more. The downfall of early 4th girl groups is sad. Loona and Iz*one disbanding. Everglow going to the shadows. ITZY’s attetion loss. Gidle is the survivor. Soyeon the woman you are 😭👑
@@ggstan2439actually that’s not all right lol it’s just bad management. Also they don’t do playlist like other companies do for their groups even the ads stopped years ago only would get a few 5 million compared 25+ million from others groups for ads on their mvs Itzy mostly organic same for their sales still selling after 2 months after btb being out where I don’t see other grps still selling after coming out after btb. Sk charts only thing ppl really drag but sales? Tours? Itzy sells out. Even NY Phili with 134+ thousands attending for Itzy like they’ll always be relevant just not Carter to gp and that’s fine they’ll build themselves a solid fb something bgs have a lot of. But ppl really don’t know the definition of flop and just use it carelessly.
@@Luja-v2n that's dumb. You shouldn't blindly support anything and you probably won't. Itzy deserve better treatment and better music before they disband.
They are one of the most talented 4th gen groups. They are not charting like they once did but in korea they are still very relavent, they will always have a huge crowd in their concert, they will always have crowds near airports and they will always have midzy. I love boys like its so iconic. Imaginary friend is a fricking masterpiece. The audience litrally started to cry when they performed imaginary friend. 520k copies sold. Honey, they arent a flop
Those numbers are flops for a big 3 girl group and will disband them this year. JYP giving them trash music like Imaginary Friend (people were crying at all songs at that event starting with Born to Be).
@@Music-vr7sz They re newed their contract. they are the third biggest providers of JYPs money after twice and Skz. Imaginary friend is not trash you just need to understand that concept which i guess could be hard for you. people cried cause imaginary friend had lia in the centre. They cried cause she was back
@Imthedrama_11 they haven't renewed anything. Their contract renewal talks will begin this year and it's very likely they disband. They aren't third anymore. The third biggest group in terms of sales in 2024 was NMixx. In terms of concerts it was Day6. JYP never even mentions Itzy anymore. The investor report they were barely mentioned. Imaginary Friend is trash. I get for someone simple minded the heavy handed bad metaphor of an imaginary that doesn't work seems complicated. It isn't. People aka like 12 people cried starting with Born to Be the first song. Yeji even mentioned this on bubble. So no it wasn't because of Imaginary Friend and Lia had been back for 2 months by that performance. Try again. I'm a midzy and you clearly aren't so why do you choose to spout nonsense? Or is it just because you're a toxic my so you are trying to make sure they disband?
@nmitzyxx people like you are exactly why the group will disband. Imagine the nerve to tell others they aren't part of a fandom. And I guarantee I've streamed more, purchased more, and done more to support Itzy than you. That nonsense drove away so many fans.
Since ITZY has been there since little after I started k-pop stanning, I am EXTREMELY biased, a die hard midzy (i promise I do not get involved in fanwars), so even though I've seen them flop a lot, I've always liked every single song from them. For some reason, GOLD was the best song I've heard from them..
ah the typical itzy has not blackpink sale numbers so they must be a flop video. let me guess. twice and nmixx are flops too ? when will you people ever get bored of this bullshit ?
If we’re being dead serious itzy isn’t flopping because their album sales continue to grow each comeback, people mostly only pay attention to music video views but now streams and album sells
I guess you're the flop one because while all these youtubers are yapping about itzy's "downfall" when you don't even have 1k subs (no hate) but meanwhile itzy are going on tour and getting sold out every single time, getting loud fanchants in every single show and performance and getting deals and invitations from top brands and fashion events
I personally really like Bet on me, Mr. Vampire and Imaginary Friend, these a bit slower songs for Itzy aswell as their japanese songs, they are still super fun and close to songs like Not shy but a bit more modern if I can say it like that I still love Itzy and I think the people that are still their fans now won´t be leaving them soon so I think they will just keep their popularity now, don´t lose popularity and don´t really gain more either. But they´re doing fine like this so that´s not too bad i guess. I heard that they will have another world tour 2025, I went to their tour 2024 so that´s a bit much lol I need to save i guess... but I wanted to save for BP 😭 But i don´t know if that´s true
Personally, I preferred Not Shy, Born to Be , MITM , to Gold , Loco & Wannabe lol. Itzy does much better with the fierce concept. I think Itzy’s Japanese team & some of their main producers such as Kobee who produced Not Shy & Five understand Itzy’s concept much better so I think their Japanese team should produce their Korean comebacks especially the title tracks.
New year and y’all are still here. when they have only been doing better throughout the years. 😭 “Or have they always been mid” like y’all are weird towards them.
Very good summary of Itzy's career trajectory. It is sad how girl group followers are so fickle and how they rely on the general public more. They just need a couple of songs in a row to make it big and they'll be back. Remember how people were talking about aespa just a couple of years ago and they just owned 2024.
They literally are doing really good 😅 10th most grossed income for kpop tour with only 8 out of 32 being counted in 2024. Born to be album still selling after 2+ months with being released sold out tours…like itzy is doing great intl and their TT Imaginary friend has really brought more fans in. Also views is because jype doesn’t pay for ads anymore. Fans bought ads for some of the mvs if you actually put other kpop groups mvs views that are organic and itzy organizers views you’ll see a big difference
@@Dancingmachinemomoring ah I haven’t seen what there’s are but we don’t even know how much itzy made throughout the tour cuz most of those is just US areas that gave the info which didn’t even have the biggest arenas do probably made way more…
@yosh2010 they aren't doing good. Imaginary Friend is the worst performing title track in their history. Their Spotify streams are the worst in their career. Sales are still going because of constant fansign events which they shouldn't even be doing in year 7. And stop overvaluing a tour filled with small venues that didn't sell out most and took 9 months of their year. This is all excuse making for JYPs treatment of this group. If you don't care about them disbanding fine but don't try to cover it up.
@Dancingmachinemomoring how many of those groups had tours this year? How many dates? How much per date? Oh right Aespa was Asia only and every venue was massive compared to Itzy. Stop with the delusion.
@@Music-vr7sz well no aespa also went to australia north america and europe just like itzy did and its just grossed 6 million while itzys grossed 17 million that is a huge difference. İnstead of defending them you are making a bad impression on their reputation
it's hard to say that ''itzy is flopping'' because since 2023 they have sold more albums than they had ever sold before, they had their most profitable tour and the number of annual streams increased more over the years, i mean, who 'abandoned' ' itzy was the casual listeners (many ggs suffer with this way more than bgs) because midzys are still here and the biggest problem is that itzy still receives hate to this day for nothing they next comeback will never be enough, people put such a crazy and impossible expectations for them since wannabe because contrary to what many think the hate on itzy started since not shy and only got worse since sneakers and cake, i honestly hear some successful songs by other GGs from 4th gen and made me think ''if it was this exact same song but itzy no one would like it'' and JYPE itself messes with the girls' careers so fucking much, they don't know how to manage and take care of them properly it's very frustrating because they are so talent, charismatic, precious and unproblematic
bad music. they. don't have any control on their music. look at kg's contract even personality and hairstyles the company control it, so if they give you a. shit songs there's nothing else they can do
Pls stop spreading these kind of news...i mean common guys they always try something new ..each every song of them are good 🔥 itzy always rocks they never going to disband❤❤❤
@@hailsy04209 I meant the songs, not the sales. Of course they sold a lot of albums, but the songs for the most part are not deserving. The girls are the only reason why the albums sold.
@@BlueSkyCrystals I disagree. Their bsides knock the titles out of the park, which is why people like the FULL albums and don't only consume title tracks
Aren't you at least going to respect producers and people who produced and worked on Gold???? You say you respect others opinion, but I don't see that anywhere, lol. People say, that musical taste is subjective, but it is so ironic how they engage in destructive behaviour overlooking hard work that the team put in the production and making music. Screw them. Their opinions are not that important to be treated as facts and same goes to you and people who engage in this type of behaviour.
This idea I was hearing since 2022. And it's strange because in more than 2 years a group that is flopping should lose all the support from fans and shouldn't be a subject for a discussion on UA-cam. After two years, if it is still a discussion about this issues, means that this idea has a problem. Most of the time this people are not fans of the group. They just pretend to be. And everyone can see that if they just look at the group. For example: for two years some people say that the group floped but the numbers of fallowers on Instagram increased and now they have 20 M fallowers which makes no sense for a group that floped. Sneakers and cake are, probably, the most hated songs but on UA-cam they have 150M and 100M views, which again makes no sense for a group that floped. Their albums sales increased every year. They are in top 10, both hanteo and circle, when it comes to sales. And this charts do not show all the sales of the group. For example last year they released Born to be and hanteo show us that the group sold more than 500 k copies. But the company made public, 10 days after the release, that the group sold more than 1.15 M copies. With all these errors from the charts itzy is still in top 10, and probably with the real numbers properly will be in top 5. So, again, this thing makes no sense if we say they floped. And I can give a lot of exemples that show us that their popularity increases.
I will always love and support them regardless because I know what they’re capable of. I know a lot of fans equate an idols importance by their popularity or views but for me it’s all about the talent. And judging by Itzy’s bsides AND stage presence they definitely have that. It’s the fault of the company for not giving them enough exposure tbh. Like, I’ve realized with JYP that they don’t experiment often, not just in terms of music but also for the members individual activities. Yeji would be such a great luxury brand ambassador (she caught a lot of attention during fashion week when she went for the first time), along with Yuna. Ryujin has always wanted to get into acting too. But JYPE is constantly making them put out like 2 comebacks/albums a year. And they work so tirelessly just for them to “flop”. They need exposure as individuals in my opinion. Cuz once people hear “Itzy comeback” they’re mostly thinking about a certain genre of music (so they aren’t exactly excited about it).. not the members themselves. And supporting a group isn’t always about liking the music, these girls are just genuinely so entertaining personality wise. Edit: Also, JYPE needs to promote their Japanese singles dude. They’re so gooddddd. And Japan literally has the second biggest music marketplace in the world. So even if they don’t hit it off in the west, they could prioritize going nationally first.
The meaning of flop has lost its meaning completely now. Flop is literally used to mean a group that has to disband because they're struggling with money and sales... now what is this?
imagine being so jobless that you make 21 minute video of a group like how jobless can you be while they have booked schedules sold out shows idk this is just gathering haters even if this wasn’t your intention
They are not flopping. Idk if anyone would read this wholeass essay but here you go (im so tired of people invalidating itzy and calling them that word) 1. They have natural flow of sales. Not just a week of sudden surge during a comeback but a constant sales for months and even topping on circle charts on Gold's third month since release which shows they have a loyal fandom and still quite a huge pull. 2. The sudden lost of interest from the gp (general public) doesn't mean they flop. This happens to every group that's passed years after debut because there are different groups in the spotlight of the gp (usually the newest groups from the big3). 3. They have a great amount of streams. They're still racking hundreds of thousands of streams daily which one hit wonders or nugu groups could never achieved consistently. 4. If you want to talk about charts, it's funny because their last highest charting song was sneakers which many said what caused them to flop but it's so successful in Korea and even reached the top 3. The next comebacks charted fairly well but everyone will get mad if I point out how worse off bg songs are in charts. 5. Sold Out concerts. Every concert/tour they have are all sold out. They never lack audience, every kpop stan outside still want to see them and they can still pull a kpop fan who is not a part of a their fandom to but their tickets because it is guaranteed that they will show an amazing performance. 6. The girls are not involved in any issue, they're the sweetest most talented girls ever. People are just so brainwashed that they think this group is "flopping". When they're just a 6 year old group that has a pretty stable career and a loyal fandom after their peak, and they're still a very very popular and well established group. 7. Brand deals. They are getting love calls from many brands, this is proven from an insider that only the company is preventing them from taking more brands. Yeji has Roger Vivier and D&G fighting for her before and I believe the other members have too. It's always the company hindering them but i think they're doing this on purpose because it's contract renewal again soon. 8. Ask someone to name a 4th gen girl group and ITZY will always be named among them. People still know them. Dozens of groups disbands every week, month or year because they flopped. Not ITZY though, which means they still make money, they have a huge fandom which I believe got tired of the toxicity on social media and decided to be a quiet stan. 9. Social Media. They still garner a million likes and more on their instagram, both individual and the group. Their tiktok is one of the most followed among girlgroups and whenever ITZY posts (which is rare) they would receive MILLIONS of likes and views). So no, they are not flops you think they are. They just reached the point of careers in many girlgroups where the gp's attention is not on them, they would release a song, promote, have a high amount of sales and then quiet and cycle. BUT they're still POPULAR. I still believe JYP did them dirty because they still have so much potential. I hope they focus more on individual projects too, it's such a waste of the girls' talents. But unlike many girlgroups that disbands before even reaching a 5 yesr or 6 year mark, ITZY is doing well compared to the rumor/hate spread by antis to make people believe that they are not.
Anyways, no matter what these people say with their clickbait or rage bait titles, I will always stan ITZY. I don't stan for charts, i stan for their music. It just irks me that these people likes to discredit ITZY. kpop stans must be all kods who joined in the last 2 years now, they don't even know the whole kpop facts since before 2019.
It honestly took me a bit to get into gold bc it was catchy I caught myself humming it from time to time but Imaginary Friends was amazing and hope to get mote songs like that or even Mr. Vampire
I really like Itzy and at least 2 of their albums are very good. But nowadays their new songs suck. "Gold" wasn't a good title track. They need better songs because these girls have the whole package.
did you listen to the 2nd title track or are you just here to complain? They sold over millions of copies for all their albums so idk what you're talking about
No group should be compared to blackpink's and bts's success. Not even the groups from their own company's (yg and hybe). Because its not fair. Every group that you mention in the video has their own success in their own way: they have their own achievements, like getting higher sales each year, getting more brands, winning more musical shows, etc. Unless you talk about a nugu group, all the other groups are doing well: the company gets paid, the staff gets paid, and the idols get paid. Hell, the idols are wealthy. In fact, a lot of them are already millionaires! You can relax, nobody is disbanding, not in the big 4 at least. So guys, Itzy didnt flop and never will. Didn't had the outcome that you expected? Ok, but times changes very fast, its dificult to adapt to higher levels of competition and new technologies. They are doing well in their own way, and they will keep doing well. So stop comparing them with the others groups achievements, it's not that important.
Rage bait? 😂 Ngl you make me angry already from that title and thumbnail. Not giving you the views though im pausing this at 0:00 the whole time I'll be commenting lol.
I believe that the start of the downfall was actually not shy. I saw a lot of mixed reactions to not shy and mafia in the morning, loco was a saving catch... but then everything fell apart when sneakers came along. Personally, post sneakers Itzy is better than pre sneakers itzy. I prefer their this vibe theyve fallen into that reminds me of nmixx, as in, theyre just really set on doing their own thing. I dont get why youre so hard on Bet on Me and Gold, those are great songs they both went right onto the playlist.
What I don't understand is why fans would permanently abandoned them over one or two songs they don't like as much. I think Untouchable is the best song they ever released but the reaction was poor. In America groups can have a huge comeback after a few failed releases, but not in Kpop.
I don't think that itzy are that bad, rather I see clearly superior groups, NMIXX and BABYMONSTER are incredible live and their music is more international then aespa are having their moment
group identity, i think jyp lacks this their groups struggle to keep it and its the thing that makes groups like aespa so successful they have a clear group identity, whilst itzy feels like they lost theirs and tried following trends and playing it safe, ill be honest this album with lia couldve changed things around with the right marketing. both title tracks and the entire album is so good but it wasent promoted correctly and released ina a competitive period even with other jyp ggs? they fumbled them so bad i feel so bad for these girls, truly wasted talent and hard work.
in my opinion, i think the reason of why most of jyps groups are also facing the same problem is because of the music theyve been producing. considering the fact that most of the viral and most streams songs on the chart usually influenced from western music. they really does try to follow the path but it doesnt seems to work out, they kept changing the concepts to try and get more people into their music but instead they got the negative results into the groups flopping. and im not saying that the songs are bad its just when i listen to it, it doesnt give me the exciting and fresh feelings of their previous music, they were unique and actually drawing people into them. like i get that constantly having to produce great music to keep up with a certain amount of audience is hard but if they dont, the other groups will outshine them.
En serio 520k copias vendidas les parece las copias vendidas por un grupo flop además no tienes originalidad ya van varios videos de tipejos haciendo esto es horrible enserio
i think its not because of the girls talent or charisma. jyp has some of the most talented singers. i think their two real reasons, first are the songs that jyp gives his groups are not catchy enough and the target market is not clear. second is poor jyp marketing. he doesnt seem to market his groups. only twice and niziu has some semblance of a target market. i guess jyp's priority are his profit margins (jyp has the biggest profit margins in the industry so they are definitely not losing money) but it seems he achieves this by limiting budget on promotion and marketing.
É falta de conteúdo? Esse tipo de vídeo só atrai mais gente idiota para falar do Itzy. Aproveita para pesquisar um pouco mais antes de fazer um vídeo desse.
You seem like a hater, don't act like some youtuber who analyze shut cuz that's not an analysis, that's just spreading hate and misinformation. JYPE could literally sue you you for posting videos like this and your title doesn't make it better too lol.
What a horrible clickbaity title that spreads hate and negativity and for what…views?? It's just shameful and disgusting, but I can tell from your other video titles that that's what you're going for, and it's simply sad and pathetic
I became their fan about 1 year ago . So the historic perception does not affected my experience. their releases since are kinda imprevisible if it's going to be a sound that I like or not, so I dont antecipate as much as other more previsible sounds as g idle or new jeans. Like how algorithym, and born to be dosent feels like it should belong to the same group in terms of id. I wish the best for them, but its a hard sell to potential new fans all this switching. they have all the performance skills, but the art direction need to attach to something.
Exactly! They should atleast promote their japanese songs more, they are often even better than their korean tracks And yes, every song kinda feels different but on the other hand switching things up often works for other groups like (GI)-DLE... maybe it´s just not for them
12:09 My Reasons for Leaving ITZY and the Fandom. 1.) I started Stanning ITZY while during ICY Era, Dalla Dalla was not my vide and very annoying to me, but ICY took me to a new world and I needed to know who these girls were. ICY through LOCO we all bangers period. 2.) After LOCO Era and Voltage Promos we didn’t see ITZY for almost A WHOLE YEAR, so when they Dropped SNEAKERS👀….imma be honest, I made myself like the song because I missed them so much and hadn’t gotten anything from them in a long time. 3.) After SNEAKERS I noticed that I kept doing this, making myself like the trash misc because I liked ITZY, and the problem is that just because song is “Catchy” doesn’t mean it’s good. I would be watching their performances and getting their songs stuck in my head cuz they’re were catchy not cuz they were good. When I realized what I was doing, I noticed the decline in music quality started SNEAKERS Era, but I was holding on to hope cuz their Japanese Releases fed me Every Growing MIDZY Appetite. 4.) Then we fast forward to Gold Era and I knew I was done then. We only got so much more time with the girls, we don’t know if they’ll resign under JYPE, and if they do we don’t know if we’re getting good music; and if they don’t then I would have stayed all this time in hopes for things to get better for them and they would’ve left me broken hearted with trash music if they disband. What got me into Kpop was Dance, so ITZY was the PERFECT group for me. But I also Eat, Sleep, and Breathe music as a Singer and Dancer, and I was getting sick of being served dumpster fire drizzled in oil. I had to leave cuz I couldn’t take it anymore. And MIDZY are also very annoying💅
They got stuck when Stray Kids became the priority, just like GOT7 became an afterthought when JYP was prioritising TWICE. I never rooted for ITZY to fail but I always laughed at them calling themselves "different" whilst being just like everyone else. ITZY was the "I'm not like other girls" of the kpop industry. I'll never knock their talent but they never stood out to me. The conversation was dominated by Blackpink, Twice & Aespa, and then IVE, Newjeans & Le Sserafim. Sneakers was their first top 5 hit since "Dalla Dalla" but International fans didn't care for it. Ultimately for the group that always talked about how "different" they were, ITZY failed to stand out from the crowd.
i think its not because of the girls talent or charisma. jyp has some of the most talented singers. i think their two real reasons, first are the songs that jyp gives his groups are not catchy enough and the target market is not clear. second is poor jyp marketing. he doesnt seem to market his groups. only twice and niziu has some semblance of a target market. i guess jyp's priority are his profit margins (jyp has the biggest profit margins in the industry so they are definitely not losing money) but it seems he achieves this by limiting budget on promotion and marketing.

@daniellenewby3169 i think they should have stripped the rock parts and just made a hip hop song. The producer is a hip hop producer and I think JYP/div 2 interfere too much with these producers. Saying ITZY flopping but people will always mention or talk about them shows that haters care tremendously 😂 Clickbait is clickbait and haters will always hate while the loving supporters support always. Those who love ITZY will always love ITZY! ITZY! MIDZY NAIJA!
this underage girl in that video craves attention so bad while trying to act mature.
Reasons why itzy haven’t been the same in my opinion (from a midzy)
@@duck8049 they still have that concept bffr
@@duck8049sneakers,cake,untouchable and gold are literally about loving yourself
ITZY is flopping because of JYP. Same thing happening to Twice, NMIXX and NiziU and the most shocking of all the VCHA.
didn't JYP also debut a boy group in 2024? it seems like only skz and Day6 are doing well there

Competition is not the issue with Itzy
I don't think itzy is flopping at all
real cuz ITZY where in top 10 of Billboard highest grossing Kpop Tours in 2024
How many tours were there that year? Do you even know? And Itzy had an insane number of events keeping them on tour around 9 months of the year.
Everybody talking about itzy and that proves itzy is never flops
In big year 2025 and yall still talking about itzy being a flop? Flop group that sold-out more than 1 million albums,9 most streamed kpop group in spotify is that flop for you?

What a useless video. If u call a group who sells over 2m copies in 2022 and over 1m in 2024 a flop u clearly don't know the meaning of a flop
There’s really nothing they can do to fix their success unless JYP starts promoting them excessively.
sneakers sold over 1 million copies. Sneakers and cake both did well.
Exactly. The issue is loss of their teen crush concept and dance music sound. After Sneakers failed JYP refused to give them back their sound and concept. Presumably to keep them down so Twice would renew their contracts. Or possibly to not compete with NMixx who debuted that year. JYP is trash.
@ Yeah. Nmixx and Twice is doing much better than Itzy. And the reason why is because they don’t want to promote them.
@hailsy04209 wrong. The Checkmate album sold a million copies and sales aren't based on song performance. The song itself flopped everywhere but Korea and was the beginning of a downward trend. Cake did vastly worse even in Korea. And even the sales fell off with Born to Be and Gold.
@@RomanticYumii it's not just promotion. They get terrible music that can't succeed. And the won't change their management staff.

They are one of the most talented 4th gen groups.
It isn't.

I personally really like Bet on me, Mr. Vampire and Imaginary Friend, these a bit slower songs for Itzy aswell as their japanese songs, they are still super fun and close to songs like Not shy but a bit more modern if I can say it like that
I still love Itzy and I think the people that are still their fans now won´t be leaving them soon so I think they will just keep their popularity now, don´t lose popularity and don´t really gain more either. But they´re doing fine like this so that´s not too bad i guess.
I heard that they will have another world tour 2025, I went to their tour 2024 so that´s a bit much lol I need to save i guess... but I wanted to save for BP 😭 But i don´t know if that´s true
I think this year will be itzys year. Their full album is coming out and the world tour and also who knows? Maybe they will get even more fans

The issue is bad music. Easy. JYP refuses to give them good music anymore and it's intentional.
THEY ARE NOTA FLOP THEYARE ONE OF THE BIGGEST GROUPS STILL they may not be as popular as SKZ or twice but they are still big
Very good summary of Itzy's career trajectory. It is sad how girl group followers are so fickle and how they rely on the general public more. They just need a couple of songs in a row to make it big and they'll be back. Remember how people were talking about aespa just a couple of years ago and they just owned 2024.
520k copies sold, does that sound like a flop to you, girl, get checked out?
litrally
No they sold over 700k and 500k on hanteo with gold so itzy sold 1.2 million+ copies this year. Like seriously calling them flops is so ignorant
Whats even funnier is that itzy has the most grossing tour this year surpassing le sserafim aespa newjeans etc.

The mr. vampire erasure???

The meaning of flop has lost its meaning completely now. Flop is literally used to mean a group that has to disband because they're struggling with money and sales... now what is this?
Exactly 😂 do people not know english now? Have they become stupid because of too much tiktok? 😂
imagine being so jobless that you make 21 minute video of a group like how jobless can you be while they have booked schedules sold out shows idk this is just gathering haters even if this wasn’t your intention
21 minute is not a long time 😂. She has a job and she mostly praised itzy
What flop?
They are not flopping.
Idk if anyone would read this wholeass essay but here you go (im so tired of people invalidating itzy and calling them that word)
You should study more statistics
It honestly took me a bit to get into gold bc it was catchy I caught myself humming it from time to time but Imaginary Friends was amazing and hope to get mote songs like that or even Mr. Vampire
I really like Itzy and at least 2 of their albums are very good. But nowadays their new songs suck. "Gold" wasn't a good title track. They need better songs because these girls have the whole package.
did you listen to the 2nd title track or are you just here to complain? They sold over millions of copies for all their albums so idk what you're talking about
Its 2025 and youre still talking about itzy being flops lmao its a bit late considering they just performed infront of 130k+ people

I'm emailing this to JYPE and I'll ask everyone to mass email this too to take it down. Hope you get sued for spreading hate and misinformation.
Actually NMIXX is gaining a lot of popularity in their last 2 albums (2024)

Back in the day girl groups disband after 5 years…. So we are blessed
YT has enough toxic channels you are not the next big one. Rethink the content you make.

They spent New Years in some random city, that's how hard they fell off. Hurts to see a group with such talent hit a wall. 😭
Headlining one of the biggest festivals with 130k+ in attendance
in the Philippines it’s not random
BFR😒
others celebrated at mbc wjats the deal here now 😭😭
@ they pre record their performances for Mbc
And then went to headline a festival after
God yall are so delusional it’s funny😭 they went to HEADLINE a festival with more than 140k+ people attending
you don't even know what you're talking about lok
This is a very misguided channel ever just wants some attention out there do your research next time properly
The industry was over saturated. It's inevitable if they can't release new music that relate to a new generation of fans.
Rage bait? 😂 Ngl you make me angry already from that title and thumbnail. Not giving you the views though im pausing this at 0:00 the whole time I'll be commenting lol.
Precisa falar mal do Itzy pra ter views né vaca??
Exactly😭😭
I think what make them seem even more flop was their current state compared to their explosive debut and it's success
In America groups can have a huge comeback after a few failed releases, but not in Kpop.
because they care about their faves charting
@@namc7re That is the kind of nonsense answer I would expect from a Kpop fan.
If they did more songs like MITM and Weapon it'd be amazing.
they spent new year doing a show in Philippines, i'm not saying the money is not good but if that's the best gig they can find, it's not a good sign
others celebrated at mbc … what’s your point here they performed for mbc too just it was pre recorded
Yeee they had 134 thousands people listen to them live. Small gig. I haven't seen any other group having a gig outside of sk
I love itzyyyyyy 😭❤️
i think its not because of the girls talent or charisma. jyp has some of the most talented singers. i think their two real reasons, first are the songs that jyp gives his groups are not catchy enough and the target market is not clear. second is poor jyp marketing. he doesnt seem to market his groups. only twice and niziu has some semblance of a target market. i guess jyp's priority are his profit margins (jyp has the biggest profit margins in the industry so they are definitely not losing money) but it seems he achieves this by limiting budget on promotion and marketing.
Desesperada por atención este tipo de cuentas de UA-cam
For me cake and sneakers was horrible and reminded me of kidzpop 😭 they’re so talented but the song was not my cake 🎂
Sneakers had Korean audiences in mind so a lot of Americans and international fans hated it
You don't buy ITZY albums anyway so no one cares what you think Move on
Falta de contenido chica
Itzy queens👑👑
Exactly! They should atleast promote their japanese songs more, they are often even better than their korean tracks
And yes, every song kinda feels different but on the other hand switching things up often works for other groups like (GI)-DLE... maybe it´s just not for them
12:09 My Reasons for Leaving ITZY and the Fandom.
And MIDZY are also very annoying💅
i was soo done with gold as well. thank you for you comment >3!
yall are just bullies man. I hope the world treats you how you deserve to be treated, and its not in a good way
@@nena678 you flopped on a youtube channel girl. while they make millions of dollars. YOU ARE THE FLOP
Nooo gold is just such a youth somg
Ahhh so well done 💕
En serio ya cansan y van muchos videos con la misma tontera ridícula
Covid happened
Ultimately for the group that always talked about how "different" they were, ITZY failed to stand out from the crowd.
they only have one good song = SURF
everything else is a try-hard-yas-queen-emo-dark-loud-obnoxious
@/ITZYofficial you called a flop from channel 300 subscribers
