Even if we dont compare her to the other itzy members we still cant call her a great dancer yet her foundations (mean basics) are not very stable or good she really needs to practice hard or her flaws will be pretty obvious when she dance then she can only keep up with the other members. Black Pink to be fair lia in the video was pretty nervous since that was around the time she was getting tons of hate for her dancing and about how she looked and about her weight and that can really hinder a persons performance she seemed really nervous and scared and you could see it in her expression. also during this show yuna also expressed how she felt bad for lia which she obviously meant the hate she was getting. also she was mostly trained in singing and if i remember correctly she had the least training out of all of them. nowadays i really feel bad for lia because she gets way too much hate that is completely undeserved.
Nah, she is one of the worst dancers. Even worse than Jisoo when she 1st debuted, but Jisoo improved immensely and very quickly at that. Why can't Lia do the same. Deanne Ruth Actually you’re wrong. Chaeryeong placed 3rd in Line distribution in their most recent mini album. Yes we don’t get to see her do any dance break which is a shame, but we still get an okay Line Distribution. Title Tracks we don’t see much of her, but in the side tracks we hear a lot of her. It’s the dancing that’s the problem. We don’t get to see her talent. As a main dancer she needs to be able to shine as a dancer and unfortunately we don’t get to see that.

Malijima Buing Buing definitely not, hyunjin has better charisma and facials, but is prone to overdancing and losing stamina, minho has good angles but can underdance sometimes and doesn’t have the best facials (probably because of his backup dancing background)

Da Sampaguita her style is controlled and her body locks have great execution but she delivers her movements as a series of steps, sometimes as a rigid sequence, instead of as a solid connected piece (that doesn’t pertain to each singular movement rather entire parts of the choreo itself). Fluidity is the artistic expression of each move flowing into the next, a firm connection between one step to another, and ryujin fails to emulate that sometimes. She’s a great dancer though and deserves all credit for it.
Honestly, technicalities aside, Yuna is one of my favorite idols to watch on stage. She feels and loves every single performance, and she's just seriously the brightest spotlight even with her choreo flaws. A true preformer with crazy potential.
Something about Chaeryung's dancing makes it effortless. I can't dance and I'm often intimidated when Yeji dances, but when I see Chaeryung dance, it makes me want to get up and try!
For me chaeryeong is more of a main dancer cause great control is important to be a good dancer. And also yeji is a powerful dancer and I love powerful dancers

I've been dancing for 2 years all i can say is Chaeryoung has always caught my eye during itzy's performance. She has this aura of dancing that is unexplainable. She has groove & style to her dancing. She isn't powerful all the way which is good. Too much power on the dancing would seem off and intense which is okay to some people. Her dancing is sharp and neat. She's the most controlled on dancing which looks very presentable and professional.
I like that each of them have a vibe while dancing: Lia: Rich Kid Vibes Yuna: Young Kid Vibes Ryujin: Chill Bad Kid Vibes Chaeryeon: Sweet Kid Vibes Yeji: Popluar Rebel Kid Vibes
She's not a trained dancer that's why, she's here to perform, and she has a natural dancing ability which makes her dance in an outstanding way even though she doesn't have strong basis. Underdancing for Ryujin in my view means that she doesn't do the dance moves as a dancer, so till the end, but as an idol (look good, pretty..) she doesn't bend her knees enough, as long as it looks good she's satisfied, she doesn't have the right angles, and she doesn't hesitate to minimize the moves to make it into a style. She dances "small", at least that's what we say in France. But she's not a pro at all so she's not compareable, she's a charisma bomb

If I'm going to rank the two, I must say Chaeryeong is a little bit better than Yeji . Yeji has a powerful technique and has a great stamina. She does not underdance and has the best stage presence out of all Itzy members. But because of her powerful executions, she tend to overdance sometimes. She does not decelerate even on movements that require chill executions. Chaeryeong is the most balanced Itzy member in terms of skills. She has the cleanest and most precise execution. She is also versatile. Most noticeable trait of her is her gracefulness. She has great control on knee, legs and hip movements. One rare weakness I notice about her is that he loss rhythm and beats on certain part of song
Even though her dancing is not the best based on technique, my favorite Itzy dancer is *Yuna* ! :) I'm so impressed, this girl debuted at 15 and is also really tall with long limbs (170+ cm?) yet she makes dancing look so easy and never weird. She has the most potential and I love her charisma, it's visible how much fun she has when she dances!
yeji and chaeryeong are both amazing dancers but i just feel this crazy stage energy while watching chaeryeong and not to mention how elegant and precise the moves are omg i will admit yejis facials are better so i think yeji is a better performer but chaeryeong is the better dancer (:
Me personally, as a dancer, also think Chaeryoung is the best. But I do love Ryujin’s style a lot. And I think that Lia will improve a lot over the years just as Jisoo from Blackpink has improved😊

I agree, both Lee's have a better technique and more experience, but they seem to hold back a bit (LK not that much nowadays but still), specially in stage presence, and the Hwang's are more powerful, one of the reasons they are more popular. I am a dancer as well and once I commented that ryujin lacks in execution and sometimes energy but some fans were like, "lol she is in the dance line, did you not know"... Blah blah... Like sis please, not all dancers are perfect. Even great dancers like Lisa, Seulgi, Momo are weak in some areas but you guys won't know cuz you ain't dancers. It depends on the dance style. I remember seeing a while ago it put this way and I agree. Chaeryeong is the better dancer but Yeji is the better idol. This is because Yeji is a very, very good dancer, good confidence, stage presence, good charisma, stage presence, vocals, visuals- essentially everything combined with being an exceptional dancer to make a perfect idol. Nearly too perfect in that her dancing lacks her own colour, style- it is an exceptional IDOL dancing. Chaeyeong is an exceptional DANCER dancing but lacks in some of the areas that make Yeji the better idol. Edit: Lol, I wrote this before Ryujin had even started and this video is pretty much along the same vein lol
I honestly think both Yeji and Chaeryeong are equal-ish at dancing but their techniques differ. Yeji is more powerful and Chaeryeong is more fluid. The thing that sets them apart is Yeji, with her versatile and precise technique, can literally switch from being powerful to controlled and Chaeryeong knows when to apply gracefulness. I stan two main dancers.

Im not an Itzy stan but i really like Yeji's dancing (I dance professionally) Her moves are powerful, fierce, and she has a great stage presence but again like your opinion i think Chaeryeong is better. Her moves are sharp yet graceful and elegant-ish. Ryujin is a good dancer too. I watched her dance at Knowing bros (Look what you made me do i think?) She was sharp and smooth there. Yuna has good stage presence too while Lia has good facial expressions. Might stan.
5. Lia (Lia has improved in the MITM era. She has a better sense of body shape and is able to project energy better. She still has problems with awkward coordination and bad isolations) 4. Ryujin (it really feels like she should be amazing. But she has major problems with under extended movements, and short cutting movements. So despite her ability to incorporate stop, hits, pops, and locks into her dancing, I can’t put her above Yuna) 3. Yuna (very precise dancer. There’s no flaw in her dancing, and she really just needs to become even more consistent at what she can already do) 2. Yeji (Yeji has reached the point where I can only criticize her on two things: first, her shoulders seem to hunch an awful lot. Second, she needs to think about dancing beyond just executing the right moves at the right time and develop a style of her own) 1. Chaeryeong (definitely the best. She is at the point where she is not just dancing to the music, she is dancing WITH the music. I personally think if Chaeryoung starts working out, (like strengthening her body) she'll be a god tier dancer in k-pop. Hear me out, some dancers really work out to improve their power on dancing. An example is Momo, she does work out not only for weight management but to actually increase her power on executing moves. I'm not a dancer but this is only my opinion. 😄
This is true, but Chaeryoung hasn't really shown anything yet. Actually no one ever does. Exczpt for Seulgi. Even Lisa is only doing easy choreos that look good. Real dancing is not a priority in KPOP. You're right body management is a must. Even in med school I have to improve mh body to extend my dancing possibilities, such as learning and doing plank at the same time. However I think JYP rookies all work out a lot
I remembered back on loud (psy x jyp survival show), JYP said that those athletes with sports related to their lower trunk will learn easily and will be a good dancer if taught properly. I completely agree Ryujin has such a chill dance style that I love (kinda reminds me of Haley Fitzgerald) but she can lack energy and underdance becasue of it Yeji's presence and power is insane and she has great facials but I feel like Yuna and Chaeryoung have more flavour to their dancing. Plus I feel like she needs to go easier on some moves and that'd give her better dynamics. Confidence also plays a part in how well you dance, if you feel awkward then it’s not going to look good. With the large amount of hate Lia was getting for her dancing it’s no wonder she started ‘getting worse’ cause she was terrified of getting more hate. It makes me so sad because she’s never been a bad dancer and blends in so well with the rest of the group when they dance together.
what I really like about yuna is how she looks passionate in every performance, like you really know she's an idol. her expressions + her visuals damnnn. she also have that bounce in her body that adds flavor in her dance. you'll never get tired watching her fancam, she have that charisma and stage presence that will make you drawn to her.

Personally, and this isn’t the case for every scenario, but I think that sometimes the underdancing is because the attention isn’t focused on them or it’s not “their turn to be seen.” For example, at a point in the song when a certain member is dancing in the back or off to the side, it’s natural to not put as much effort into the moves compared to the person/people front and center, if that makes sense. But regularly, when it’s their turn to be in the center, they do perform/execute the moves better

Deanne Ruth Actually you’re wrong. Chaeryeong placed 3rd in Line distribution in their most recent mini album. Yes we don’t get to see her do any dance break which is a shame, but we still get an okay Line Distribution. Title Tracks we don’t see much of her, but in the side tracks we hear a lot of her. It’s the dancing that’s the problem. We don’t get to see her talent. As a main dancer she needs to be able to shine as a dancer and unfortunately we don’t get to see that.

Da Sampaguita her style is controlled and her body locks have great execution but she delivers her movements as a series of steps, sometimes as a rigid sequence, instead of as a solid connected piece (that doesn’t pertain to each singular movement rather entire parts of the choreo itself). Fluidity is the artistic expression of each move flowing into the next, a firm connection between one step to another, and ryujin fails to emulate that sometimes. She’s a great dancer though and deserves all credit for it.
Chaeryeong’s isolation is craazzyy. She’s graceful and everything. with yeji, stage precence and power really adds up to quality.
Honestly, technicalities aside, Yuna is one of my favorite idols to watch on stage. She feels and loves every single performance, and she's just seriously the brightest spotlight even with her choreo flaws. A true preformer with crazy potential.
Something about Chaeryung's dancing makes it effortless. I can't dance and I'm often intimidated when Yeji dances, but when I see Chaeryung dance, it makes me want to get up and try!

I've been dancing for 2 years all i can say is Chaeryoung has always caught my eye during itzy's performance. She has this aura of dancing that is unexplainable. She has groove & style to her dancing. She isn't powerful all the way which is good. Too much power on the dancing would seem off and intense which is okay to some people. Her dancing is sharp and neat. She's the most controlled on dancing which looks very presentable and professional.

She's not a trained dancer that's why, she's here to perform, and she has a natural dancing ability which makes her dance in an outstanding way even though she doesn't have strong basis.
Underdancing for Ryujin in my view means that she doesn't do the dance moves as a dancer, so till the end, but as an idol (look good, pretty..) she doesn't bend her knees enough, as long as it looks good she's satisfied, she doesn't have the right angles, and she doesn't hesitate to minimize the moves to make it into a style. She dances "small", at least that's what we say in France.
But she's not a pro at all so she's not compareable, she's a charisma bomb

If I'm going to rank the two, I must say Chaeryeong is a little bit better than Yeji .
Yeji has a powerful technique and has a great stamina. She does not underdance and has the best stage presence out of all Itzy members. But because of her powerful executions, she tend to overdance sometimes. She does not decelerate even on movements that require chill executions.
Chaeryeong is the most balanced Itzy member in terms of skills. She has the cleanest and most precise execution. She is also versatile. Most noticeable trait of her is her gracefulness. She has great control on knee, legs and hip movements. One rare weakness I notice about her is that he loss rhythm and beats on certain part of song

Even though her dancing is not the best based on technique, my favorite Itzy dancer is *Yuna* ! :) I'm so impressed, this girl debuted at 15 and is also really tall with long limbs (170+ cm?) yet she makes dancing look so easy and never weird. She has the most potential and I love her charisma, it's visible how much fun she has when she dances!

I remember seeing a while ago it put this way and I agree. Chaeryeong is the better dancer but Yeji is the better idol. This is because Yeji is a very, very good dancer, good confidence, stage presence, good charisma, stage presence, vocals, visuals- essentially everything combined with being an exceptional dancer to make a perfect idol. Nearly too perfect in that her dancing lacks her own colour, style- it is an exceptional IDOL dancing. Chaeyeong is an exceptional DANCER dancing but lacks in some of the areas that make Yeji the better idol.

I honestly think both Yeji and Chaeryeong are equal-ish at dancing but their techniques differ. Yeji is more powerful and Chaeryeong is more fluid. The thing that sets them apart is Yeji, with her versatile and precise technique, can literally switch from being powerful to controlled and Chaeryeong knows when to apply gracefulness. Im not an Itzy stan but i really like Yeji's dancing (I dance professionally) Her moves are powerful, fierce, and she has a great stage presence but again like your opinion i think Chaeryeong is better. Her moves are sharp yet graceful and elegant-ish. Ryujin is a good dancer too. I watched her dance at Knowing bros (Look what you made me do i think?) She was sharp and smooth there. Yuna has good stage presence too while Lia has good facial expressions. Might stan.
5. Lia (Lia has improved in the MITM era. She has a better sense of body shape and is able to project energy better. She still has problems with awkward coordination and bad isolations)
4. Ryujin (it really feels like she should be amazing. But she has major problems with under extended movements, and short cutting movements. So despite her ability to incorporate stop, hits, pops, and locks into her dancing, I can’t put her above Yuna)
3. Yuna (very precise dancer. There’s no flaw in her dancing, and she really just needs to become even more consistent at what she can already do)
2. Yeji (Yeji has reached the point where I can only criticize her on two things: first, her shoulders seem to hunch an awful lot. Second, she needs to think about dancing beyond just executing the right moves at the right time and develop a style of her own)
1. Chaeryeong (definitely the best. She is at the point where she is not just dancing to the music, she is dancing WITH the music. Her biggest problems are related: difficulty with some fast footwork, and generally loose movements leading to her looking -too- loose when she tries More&More’s choreo)

Confidence also plays a part in how well you dance, if you feel awkward then it’s not going to look good. With the large amount of hate Lia was getting for her dancing it’s no wonder she started ‘getting worse’ cause she was terrified of getting more hate. It makes me so sad because she’s never been a bad dancer and blends in so well with the rest of the group when they dance together.

Personally, and this isn’t the case for every scenario, but I think that sometimes the underdancing is because the attention isn’t focused on them or it’s not “their turn to be seen.” For example, at a point in the song when a certain member is dancing in the back or off to the side, it’s natural to not put as much effort into the moves compared to the person/people front and center, if that makes sense. But regularly, when it’s their turn to be in the center, they do perform/execute the moves better

I don't understand people keep insisting that Chaeryoung is the main dancer but itzy confirm some of their interviews that they don't have a position they can do everything if they have and they want to ,and for me if i rank the way they dance i'll put
I.)Yeji -She dances like Chaeyeon like she's somewhat real dancer like from america,fast moves and savage.
II.)Ryujin -Cool,strong and smart move the hardest dance is she's best at,she shines a lot when she dances some boygroup/boy choreo
III.)Yuna -she is so underrated like i can see her dance like Lisa, she's just not showing it but she's really good.
IV.)Chaeryoung -she's soft and so flexible very clean and fine the way she dance is so detail.
V.)Lia -she's full of elegance,she's such an expensive move
i actually agree, but I'd rather put Chaeryeong in 2nd or 3rd, but yeah.
