- Sooo yeah. I just love this group and love this girls. This was a really fun video to make, hope you like it. If you did, please leave a like and subscribe to the channel for more dance avaluations (I'm kinda studying singing to rank vocals, but that's for the future).
Who is better? Yeji, Chaeryeong, Lia, Yuna or Ryunjin? Ranking dancers was never this hard. The talent in ITZY...

@@danis4251 agreed!!! chaeryeong doesn't exist to be constantly compared to chaeyeon. i don't care if people think she's a better dancer but not every video with chaeryeong in it has to include chaeyeon. i wish people would talk about chaeryeongs talent individuallly sometimes :(
80melody couldn’t agree more, she knows that her sister is better than her, se has admitted it, she doesn’t need people to remind her all the time that her sister dances better. I personally like ChaeRyeong better than Chaeyeon, and I don’t like to compare them, specially with people who wants to put Chaeyeon above every single dancer out there.

it's not like lia is a bad dancer, is just that she's in the middle of *really AMAZING* dancers.
Even if we dont compare her to the other itzy members we still cant call her a great dancer yet her foundations (mean basics) are not very stable or good she really needs to practice hard or her flaws will be pretty obvious when she dance then she can only keep up with the other members. But cant deny her vocal is on point tho, but being an idol needs more than just vocal, singing and dancing is just an basic standard that everyone looks into Im not hating or trying to bash lia but nowadays all those idols are getting more and more competitive towards each other we can see many aces kpop idols.

Black Pink to be fair lia in the video was pretty nervous since that was around the time she was getting tons of hate for her dancing and about how she looked and about her weight and that can really hinder a persons performance she seemed really nervous and scared and you could see it in her expression. also during this show yuna also expressed how she felt bad for lia which she obviously meant the hate she was getting. also she was mostly trained in singing and if i remember correctly she had the least training out of all of them. nowadays i really feel bad for lia because she gets way too much hate that is completely undeserved.
Nah, she is one of the worst dancers. Even worse than Jisoo when she 1st debuted, but Jisoo improved immensely and very quickly at that. Why can't Lia do the same. I like Lia and see that she isn't in the best place, but the hate will never end If she won't get herself together. Knetz are very harsh
Rain Rain but you’ve never been bashed repeatedly by people for everything you do. she’s gotten hate for her weight, appearance, and now dancing. you’ve never gone through being hated and bullied and having to perform in front of those same people that hate you. unless you’ve gone through the struggle of being a female idol you have no right to try and critique her. also jisoo and lia are two different people that have two different mindsets, personalities, training periods, and physical capabilities and jisoo barely faced hate for her dancing. stop comparing idols that are completely different from each other.
For all the people fighting about Yeji and Chaeryeong:
Yeji: Has sharp moves, always sharp during performances
Chaeryeong: Has her own technique and makes the performance look easy
And yeji is fire and chaeryoung is water

Malijima Buing Buing definitely not, hyunjin has better charisma and facials, but is prone to overdancing and losing stamina, minho has good angles but can underdance sometimes and doesn’t have the best facials (probably because of his backup dancing background)
basically, yeji is a more powerful and fierce dancer, chaeryoung is a more cute, yet sharp dancer?

Honestly, technicalities aside, Yuna is one of my favorite idols to watch on stage. She feels and loves every single performance, and she's just seriously the brightest spotlight even with her choreo flaws. A true preformer with crazy potential.
Not surprising Chaeryeong is the best dancer. She has the most experience out of all of them.
Yeji has the most experience because she was in a dance team before being a idol

I feel as if Chaeryeong has no confidence through her own self doubt and bc of the public. She’s always criticized and that can deepen doubt inside you which affects your execution in any area of the group... she’s powerful and capable of more, she holds herself back :((
I think she has to. She doesn’t want to over shine in the group. I bet you Chaeryeong is ten times better, but she has to hold back because A. She doesn’t want to over shine and B. The dances she’s given aren’t that challenging for her and don’t give her opportunities to shine more in her style of dancing.

Deanne Ruth Actually you’re wrong. Chaeryeong placed 3rd in Line distribution in their most recent mini album. Yes we don’t get to see her do any dance break which is a shame, but we still get an okay Line Distribution. Title Tracks we don’t see much of her, but in the side tracks we hear a lot of her. It’s the dancing that’s the problem. We don’t get to see her talent. As a main dancer she needs to be able to shine as a dancer and unfortunately we don’t get to see that.
Deanne Ruth I hope Lia or Chaeryeong get the next comeback. I don’t want any other member to get one until those two get on, but again they are a rookie group so we dunno what will happen next.
Ryujin looks so effortless and has so much swag. She is my favourite dancer.

@@jenwynx2820 Her style is fluid and controlled and the way you see her dance is like she makes the steps easier to look at.. Yeji really is a good dancer but sometimes i feel like shw overdanced which is why neither of them i picked but Ryujin.
Da Sampaguita her style is controlled and her body locks have great execution but she delivers her movements as a series of steps, sometimes as a rigid sequence, instead of as a solid connected piece (that doesn’t pertain to each singular movement rather entire parts of the choreo itself). Fluidity is the artistic expression of each move flowing into the next, a firm connection between one step to another, and ryujin fails to emulate that sometimes. She’s a great dancer though and deserves all credit for it.

I agree, both Lee's have a better technique and more experience, but they seem to hold back a bit (LK not that much nowadays but still), specially in stage presence, and the Hwang's are more powerful, one of the reasons they are more popular.
But at the end, the Lee are still better dancers in my opinion.

She's not a trained dancer that's why, she's here to perform, and she has a natural dancing ability which makes her dance in an outstanding way even though she doesn't have strong basis.
Underdancing for Ryujin in my view means that she doesn't do the dance moves as a dancer, so till the end, but as an idol (look good, pretty..) she doesn't bend her knees enough, as long as it looks good she's satisfied, she doesn't have the right angles, and she doesn't hesitate to minimize the moves to make it into a style. She dances "small", at least that's what we say in France.
But she's not a pro at all so she's not compareable, she's a charisma bomb

Even though her dancing is not the best based on technique, my favorite Itzy dancer is *Yuna* ! :) I'm so impressed, this girl debuted at 15 and is also really tall with long limbs (170+ cm?) yet she makes dancing look so easy and never weird. She has the most potential and I love her charisma, it's visible how much fun she has when she dances!

Me personally, as a dancer, also think Chaeryoung is the best. But I do love Ryujin’s style a lot. And I think that Lia will improve a lot over the years just as Jisoo from Blackpink has improved😊

If I'm going to rank the two, I must say Chaeryeong is a little bit better than Yeji .
Yeji has a powerful technique and has a great stamina. She does not underdance and has the best stage presence out of all Itzy members. But because of her powerful executions, she tend to overdance sometimes. She does not decelerate even on movements that require chill executions.
Chaeryeong is the most balanced Itzy member in terms of skills. She has the cleanest and most precise execution. She is also versatile. Most noticeable trait of her is her gracefulness. She has great control on knee, legs and hip movements. One rare weakness I notice about her is that he loss rhythm and beats on certain part of song

I am a dancer as well and once I commented that ryujin lacks in execution and sometimes energy but some fans were like, "lol she is in the dance line, did you not know"... Blah blah... Like sis please, not all dancers are perfect. Even great dancers like Lisa, Seulgi, Momo are weak in some areas but you guys won't know cuz you ain't dancers. It depends on the dance style. And honestly, ryujin is my ult bias, i would never disrespect my queen. I love watching her videos because of her great control

Always getting compared to her sister Chaeyeon who is a powerful dancer, but Chaeryeong has charm and grace her sister doesn't have. Her grace and dance charm is something similar to that of Chungha. You just cannot practice or train for that. It's an inborn talent

Nah. Chaeyeon is literally the percect mix between grace and power! She’s way better than chaeryeong, its like a perfect mix between chaeryeong detailed oriented dance style and yeji powerfull one. When i see chaeryeong dance she reminds me of momo and yeji of seulgi, both amazing dancers!

I remember seeing a while ago it put this way and I agree. Chaeryeong is the better dancer but Yeji is the better idol. This is because Yeji is a very, very good dancer, good confidence, stage presence, good charisma, stage presence, vocals, visuals- essentially everything combined with being an exceptional dancer to make a perfect idol. Nearly too perfect in that her dancing lacks her own colour, style- it is an exceptional IDOL dancing. Chaeyeong is an exceptional DANCER dancing but lacks in some of the areas that make Yeji the better idol.
Edit: Lol, I wrote this before Ryujin had even started and this video is pretty much along the same vein lol
I honestly think both Yeji and Chaeryeong are equal-ish at dancing but their techniques differ. Yeji is more powerful and Chaeryeong is more fluid. The thing that sets them apart is Yeji, with her versatile and precise technique, can literally switch from being powerful to controlled and Chaeryeong knows when to apply gracefulness. I stan two main dancers.

5. Lia (Lia has improved in the MITM era. She has a better sense of body shape and is able to project energy better. She still has problems with awkward coordination and bad isolations)
4. Ryujin (it really feels like she should be amazing. But she has major problems with under extended movements, and short cutting movements. So despite her ability to incorporate stop, hits, pops, and locks into her dancing, I can’t put her above Yuna)
3. Yuna (very precise dancer. There’s no flaw in her dancing, and she really just needs to become even more consistent at what she can already do)
2. Yeji (Yeji has reached the point where I can only criticize her on two things: first, her shoulders seem to hunch an awful lot. Second, she needs to think about dancing beyond just executing the right moves at the right time and develop a style of her own)
1. Chaeryeong (definitely the best. She is at the point where she is not just dancing to the music, she is dancing WITH the music. Her biggest problems are related: difficulty with some fast footwork, and generally loose movements leading to her looking -too- loose when she tries More&More’s choreo)
Yuna is my bias for the way she shows her emotions I LOVE HER STAGE PRESENCE
I personally think if Chaeryoung starts working out, (like strengthening her body) she'll be a god tier dancer in k-pop.
Hear me out, some dancers really work out to improve their power on dancing. An example is Momo, she does work out not only for weight management but to actually increase her power on executing moves. I'm not a dancer but this is only my opinion. 😄
This is true, but Chaeryoung hasn't really shown anything yet. Actually no one ever does. Exczpt for Seulgi. Even Lisa is only doing easy choreos that look good. Real dancing is not a priority in KPOP.
You're right body management is a must. Even in med school I have to improve mh body to extend my dancing possibilities, such as learning and doing plank at the same time. However I think JYP rookies all work out a lot

Im not an Itzy stan but i really like Yeji's dancing (I dance professionally) Her moves are powerful, fierce, and she has a great stage presence but again like your opinion i think Chaeryeong is better. Her moves are sharp yet graceful and elegant-ish. Ryujin is a good dancer too. I watched her dance at Knowing bros (Look what you made me do i think?) She was sharp and smooth there. Yuna has good stage presence too while Lia has good facial expressions. Might stan.
I remembered back on loud (psy x jyp survival show), JYP said that those athletes with sports related to their lower trunk will learn easily and will be a good dancer if taught properly. He mentioned Yuna as she had some sport before, I forgot what it is, saying that she improved rapidly. I can see on your comment about her hips movement that.

Well. I agree with Chaerji but Yuna and Ryujin are at least 8.5+

Do they need proof? Even if they had proof, would your biased ass still believe? There's enough proof in the person's explanations and usage of terms, pointing out details that most people wouldn't even bat an eye toward. They're ranking them, they're not saying that they're so bad they don't belong in a girl group. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and that includes idols. It's also no secret that very many of them get picked for a redeeming quality they might have DESPITE not being talented in dance or their vocal ability, sometimes even both.

Ryujin has such a chill dance style that I love (kinda reminds me of Haley Fitzgerald) but she can lack energy and underdance becasue of it
Yeji's presence and power is insane and she has great facials but I feel like Yuna and Chaeryoung have more flavour to their dancing. Plus I feel like she needs to go easier on some moves and that'd give her better dynamics.

Confidence also plays a part in how well you dance, if you feel awkward then it’s not going to look good. With the large amount of hate Lia was getting for her dancing it’s no wonder she started ‘getting worse’ cause she was terrified of getting more hate. It makes me so sad because she’s never been a bad dancer and blends in so well with the rest of the group when they dance together.

But for Yeji, she have the charisma while on stage. She can burn the stage and performance even if it is just a simple choreo but she lowkey over dance and make unnecessary movements but she is one of the best dancer in kpop industry
And for Chaeryeong, she is really amazing while dancing. She delivers the dance clearly better than Yeji (sorry). She can also rock the stage with her facial expressions. She has her sweet looks to capture everyone in the audience. Lastly, She knows when she will be soft and whwn to be badass in dancing.

i agree icy she was the best. I cant qatch every single fancam of her, so I prioritize the weekly idol focus. On higher tier dancer, I use more videos.

Tom Riley Yeah I agree! She said herself that she reads comments about herself and since she’s the most hated, she most likely reads more hate comments then positive comments. Lia rapidly lost weight because of this. She most likely lost this weight from not eating. I know from experience that not eating drains your energy and makes you weak. Didn’t Lia have a knee brace on too? Maybe she wasn’t eating and while dancing she messed up her knee. So the knee injury might be holding her back as well.

lia used to be a good dancer, if you watch old performances (dalla dalla era) you would notice that she used to be a really good idol dancer but I think her weight lost affected her dancing and also she lost her confidence :(
Agreed she looked really tired on stage and during the dance practice and she was so thin :( In ICY era she was actually pretty good and she looked so much healthier but then she got called fat(even tho she's underweight?)and she probs went on a diet and lost so much weight and poor thing looked so drained and tired :(
