    Thanks for another fantastic video! I’ve always been frugal, but you folks do it with STYLE and make it seem so much more fun / exciting / aspirational. A fantastic antidote to all the pressure to spend more.

    We always go to Legoland in the winter. Off peak entry is much cheaper, and it’s much less busy. We take a picnic and a flask of hot drinks, wrap up cosy and have a fab time. The food places always have massive queues, so taking a picnic to eat while queuing for rides means more ride time! We try to offer lifts to friends too :)
    We always get the 2 for 1 tickets and buy them through Top Cashback. We love it there and go every other year.

      We love your strategy for going to Legoland! What a fantastic way to do it and it sounds like it cost you so much less than normal!

    I work in a cafe and hate when someone asks for an item cheaper, I don’t set the prices so I can not reduce the price of anything and I therefore don’t agree with encouraging this behaviour, it puts myself in an awkward position and some people can be very persistent.

    • @rebeldonegans
      @rebeldonegans  5 місяців тому +2

      You are allowed to say no. People are allowed to ask. Just smile and say no. You are allowed to use third party authority and say that you can’t affect the prices. You being uncomfortable is about the story you are telling yourself about them asking. Not the ask itself. Practice your confidence and enjoy the engagement. Fain eye contact and say “I wish I could help you but I am not allowed to give discounts”

    • @rebeldonegans
      @rebeldonegans  5 місяців тому

      Encouraging this type of behaviour might help you get more comfortable saying no and
      Others more comfortable asking which will help the world be a freer place

      There are many with kids, mr Money Mustache has kids, mr1500 has two, mad Fientist has kids. So do millienial revolution too. Don’t look for reasons why you can’t do it. Look for how you can make progress

    Thank you Laura, Alan and Katie! Speaking of eating out in different countries to enjoy a more affordable but high calibre of food... Me and my partner are currently in Buenos Aires and are looking to enjoy a very special dinner - it doesn't happen too often and this one is planned :) I don't suppose you remember the name of the restaurant you went to? It would be great to have a recommendation. I took the Rebel Finance School course a few years ago and intend to sign up again this year for a refresher. Thanks!

      We are so glad that you enjoyed the video! I’ve put the link above to the restaurant we went to, and it was phenomenal! Make sure you book early! Also, please be aware that there is a blue dollar exchange rate where you can get about double the official exchange rate in Argentina! Make sure you look up that before you go. I’m so glad you enjoyed the course and I’m excited that you’re coming back again this year. It is a fun course. Alan and Katie

      @@rebeldonegans Awesome! Thank you - it happens to be a 12 min walk from where we're staying :) Yes, the Argentine economy has had us on our toes. We started off with dollar blue and have since discovered a few slightly better exchange rates using our UK cards and Western Union (which has come out on top). Revolut works well - it charges you the official rate at the moment of transaction but changes to the Mastercard exchange rate after a week or two... strange but it works! Thanks guys! Looking forward to Rebel School 2024

    I struggle with not just giving away my product, I think because I make it with a few simple things I'm a herbalist that I do t feel my value, I always think if they try it they'll pay next time but 80% don't ever come back.. 😊

      several thoughts for you. So glad you commented. Firstly the value is in how long it took you to learn to do what you do and the impact on the person, not just the ingredients. Secondly is that you have to ask people to come back. Are you building a mailing list? do you go back to people to get feedback? Are you reengaging? thank you for messaging!

      I have seen your last comment as well. You seem to be in the mode of looking for why things won’t work for you. You seem to be focused on why none of this works for you. You get what you focus on. Focus on what might work and how you might make progress.
      You get what you focus on and you are focused on how you are trapped and what won’t work for you. Alan
