    I'm glad you were still getting out into the beautiful mountains. I hope you heal up quick now that you've got the diagnosis. As for helping people, I'm a New Englander. We'll literally stop and help anyone, while barely talking, or lecturing them the whole time. But crusty-but- helpful New Englanders are far better than most non participants!

    You’ve got the best running surfaces! I’d love to run on long dirt roads, tons of trails, etc… daily! Nothing good like that here 🙄 👎 👎 ! Take care of that groin Steven….. sit on an ice pack if needed. 🥶😃👍

    I had a similar issue a month before a marathon . A fellow runner told me don't touch it, don't stretch it and stop doing everything. He said it so adamantly that I took his advice. Got the NYC marathon done with no issues.

    Great week of easy training and absolutely beautiful trail run at the end. Shorts for the win! Driving without commonsense is a growing epidemic, lol. Keep listening to your body Steven.

    Groin injury here also. Waiting for MR. Just strength work, walking and elliptical maching until then. Hoping all will be well until races in may and june. I hope you recover well.

    I’d consider adding another weekly rest day or removing all vert from your runs until you heal. You know the muscle or ligaments are injured in some way so more rest would make sense to promote healing. From my own personal experience with injuries in the past I’ve tried not to reduce my mileage, increase my rest time, or stop fully and I’ve paid the price in the long run. Of course you’re the one experiencing this, just sharing my perspective.

      Thanks for the insight. Hiking vert on the treadmill hasn’t caused any discomfort, it’s the long continuous running (even flat) that does.

    Hoping recovery continues to go well on the groin. Man...I need to get out west and run a little. Looks like such a beautiful spot!

    About a week ago woke up with a tight groin, and the inside of the upper leg. But I had a 50k. Stupidly I got in my car, grab the foam roller and drove out to the race in the parking lot. I tried to do a deep squat and I couldn’t but for some stupid reason again I entered the race I could start feeling it about 5 miles in but by 1012 miles in I realize it’s I don’t said I don’t think it’s getting any worse so I finished the race I’ve been not good since then.
    Now in pain, I did walk some run the rest and I did still take second in my age group, which made me happy but I’m old .
    I sold walk every day. Wait till I have absolutely no pain anywhere on the inside of the leg or through the groin before I can start running again and then I was told after that after I’m pain-free, do nothing but gym work for another two weeks . But like I said thankful that my stupidity didn’t get me more hurt so be careful I think later this week they told me I can start doing bicycle work, but that doesn’t hurt me at the gym itself so I’m I’m looking probably another week or two before I can just do gym so I got a good month ahead.
    And I had to cancel, and I was really upset . But turning 62 in May so I gotta be careful..
    I’m glad you’re doing a lot better keep it up don’t push it too much watch pay attention. Let me give you some advice.
