upshift quick shifter works by quickly cutting the ignition. As far as i know (someone correct me if im wrong) you cant have an auto downshift on bikes with a cable throttle because there is no way for it to auto blip as it could with an electronic throttle
I am unsure of its mechanism, but as far as my previous bike ZX10R went, it didn’t have any quick shifters, and the dyno shop programmed it into the bike without upgrading any hardware. It just seems like Kawasaki uses the same shifter package as the ZX10RR on their base models and a tune can get you all the benefits back again. Not too sure about the ZX6R as it has no versions with both up and down Q-shifter/autoblipper
@@emadreviews yup the zx10r has a "fly by wire" throttle so that explains it! When you twist the throttle on a "fly by wire" you're not physically moving anything on the throttle body, it's more of a switch telling the computer how much to open and close it. So you can have the quick shift down because the computer can blip the throttle itself. On the Zx6r you are physically opening the throttle body with a cable, so the computer can't do that on its own for quick downshifts which is why you'll never see it as a feature! 🤓
thank you for including storage in your reviews. a lot of us want to daily drive a motorbike and simply don't know where to start, so this is very helpful in "blacklisting" incompatible options. cheers!
The older models of the ZX-6R also had a fuel gage... especially for the last few years. My Ninja 650 even has a fuel gage. Just wanted to make sure that was clarified! Great video overall, man.
I like your review, some of us are lifelong riders that have a lot of experience, we are critics of reviews lacking depth, just pointing that out. Good job. We are all Bros on two wheels
Hello, thanks for the video. Do you Know, what's the loading capacity for this bike. i mean, what's the driver and passenger weight limit? Thank you in advance!
As far as I‘m concerned the ZX6R has Ride-by-Wire (at least in Germany and probably Europe) therefore being able to have up and down QS with Auto-Blipper (should be standard imo at this price tag and year)
You get the passenger seat off by first taking the main seat off. There will be a cable in the rear cowling on the right-hand side. Pull that tab to the rear to pop it off. Thanks for the vid!
I have this same bike in the all black, and for the the last 20+ years I’ve had 5 CBR models. It’s a cool change, I really like this bike! I’m curious now about the possibility when you mentioned adding the quick shift down by flashing the ecu 🤔. I also have a 2024 ZX-10R, but I’m so used to just manually shifting up and down anyways, I wonder if it’ll be worth it. Great video!
im afraid autobliper is out of the question for this bike only bikes with ride by wire trottle can use autobliper and those looks like cable operated ones.

Hey congrats on your first review. I'm glad I have my 2013 ABS white black edition, just hit 28K. I took off all the badging stickers accept tank, super sick IMO, did some basic mods Two Brothers full exhaust, Vortex 520 chain and sprocket and MM tune, I upgraded the led lighting all the way around along with a few other little things and it's a track weapon while still being a street warrior. Had a ZX10R but sold it for the 636 just more fun and hang all day with 1000cc just not on top end straight aways which is rare and fine.I have enough room in my rear cowl for what is needed like a tool kit spare fuses, everything else I need I just put in my jacket and riding pants which look like yours TBH lol. I really like the new white 2024 for a few things like the front seat removal along with the gas gauge but i'm use to just resetting trip meter. I find it strange that they took away around 5HP from it but a quick tune and it should be good to go! not that it's really slower just a kawi thing I guess, and they have said why but still?. IMO the 636 is possible the best SS you can buy for the money and they keep making it after all these years so props for that. End of day everyone has their favorite brand and that's what matters most.Cheers 🙂
