Jamaal Lord may not have been a great passer, but he was a smooth ass runner especially on the option. He came in quick in this game thanks to Crouch and Co. and engineered some impressive drives. This team is one of my biggest disappointments, ultimately. I thought for sure this squad was going to win the national title after we should've won it in '99... But that defense was anything but in '00 after Charlie retired and we lost those defensive starters from '99... Also Solich really frustrated me at times with his play calling. He never quite had the same feel for the game that Osborne did. Osborne really knew all the right buttons to push over the course of a game and season.
Run the ball. Win games. Why/how did we forget that?
Because we couldn’t recruit anymore
@@BigDawg31675 Frank Solich's recruiting strategy was bringing scrapbooks of the 90s to recruits homes instead of selling the future. He was in over his head, which isn't difficult because he is a midget :]
Hiring the coaches with the wrong ideologies.
I don't think the people at Texas Tech forgot this humiliation. A few years later, T.T. handed N.U. its worst loss in school history in the same stadium.
He’s a lot faster than he looks? What a stupid comment. Crouch was one of the fastest players in the country for 3 years
Solich was the first 9-4 coach we fired, Bo Pelini was the 2nd!!!!
The solich curse is the reason why you Nebraska football is irrelevant. RC slocum curse at A&M, leach curse at tech. Possibly Mack brown curse at Texas. Stoops curse at OU.
The losing attitude began with super bowl losing coaches. Riley was the second the raiders coach can't remember his name
HTF had Texas Tech won "9 in a row" if their record was 5-1?
Great classic Game!!!!!!!!
Did Texas Tech come out to Alan Parsons Project 'Sirius' as well?
This game makes no sense in the context of modern CFB: run-based team beats Mike Leach by 40+? No 1 under 25 would believe it.
Did he say Texas Tech with the best defense? Lol...i dont remember that ever happening. Guess i just dont remember.
The air raid is a goofy offense. No one wins championships throwing the ball all the time.
I forgot about how goddamn annoying the color commentary dude was. I remember watching it live and it was irritating as hell hearing him lisp every other syllable
🤣🤣🤣
Nebraska smacked Texas Tech big time in that game.
Well, they were the #1 team, so... and Tech got BIGtime revenge only a few years later.
And a few years later, tech smacked the shit out of Nebraska. Seventy points ring a bell?
This was about the only game of the 2000 regular season where Nebraska looked like they deserved the #1 ranking.
Kingsbury was a joke
Shitty take, try again.
