  • Beaver dam just collapsed to the culvert, which did it's job pretty well and absorbed all the water.

You are the only one that have a way to make the beaver dam collapse. The other ones that I watch are good, but I like your style. The whole dam collapses in one shot. Good job!

that was another BRILLIANT dam unplug ...I love the way you dig into the ground weaken the dam and then it just falls over it is brilliant, also it shows just how much mud and sticks the beavers put into the things..... there must be a lot of mud at the end of all the channels thanks Kenislovas you are truly the best yet, oh yes I feel for you all the hours you spend digging we do not realise how much work you do when 3 hours goes into a video 30 minutes long thanks again xxxx debbie uk xxxx

You are getting the world expert at undermining beaver dams by hand! No need for machines or noise, you give us nature, the sound of water, the intense beauty of the autumn colours on a mysterious and misty morning. Like a blacksmith who knows then to strike the iron because of its colour, you watch and listen and know when to move out of the way and let the weight of water work for you!

You work so hard to clear these dams, but you have so much water power to work with! If you threw a hook like an anchor over the dam, and then connect it with a chain to a big bucket in the river below, the water pressure would pull it over. You used a hook with a car or tractor once before, I think. Don't forget to connect a second anchor to the bucket, so it doesn't disappear downstream!

Another fantastic job!. The way that you dug out the front side I am quite sure as much of the dam collapsed as could be made to. But I am always surprised out how much mud from behind the dam remains. I really wouldn't have thought you would have to dig it out with the water rushing over it so quickly. But I am glad you did that. I really do think when you do it this way you get a better result. Certainly a better result for those of us watching from our chairs at home!

Most of the beaver dams you deal with, from the side, are shaped like a triangle with the diagonal facing upstream. This makes them inherently strong. As an engineer, I'd recommend you work on the upstream side more to change that shape more into a wall. That wall will come tumbling down!! Great videos!! I enjoy watching the collapses. Keep up the great work.

I can't imagine how green my homeland would be if we had at least half the amount of rain and water you do. We are high desert with only about 9 inches of rain per year but we have been in a drought for about the last we 20 years and have not gotten that much. Our monsoon season did not bring us moisture so the land is really dry. Our mountain which usually catches the rain is so dry. 11,301 feet above sea level can't squeeze any moisture from hot dry wind
