Jerry is an underrated guitarist and songwriter. Such emotion-filled lead fills. Nobody can make a riff FEEL, like Jerry Cantrell.
For sure, he's a great musician!
Dude, this was the best detailed lesson on the net. Great job and looking forward to more of these.
the solo of this just goes to show how much of an awesome player Jerry Cantrell is
For sure!
you have the best alice in chains lessons on youtube no doubt!
please make more alice lessons
Best solo guitar lesson I've seen and on UA-cam for a solo like this,, thanks man :,)

Thanks, great feedback like this means a lot! That's a good lead run, I have to work on learning that. I think over time I will have a lesson for just about that whole album!

Man, this is the best tutorial I have watched for Nutshell. This really opened up my guitar playing as well. Thank you very much. I would love to see a video for Scotty Olsen's lead parts in "Got Me Wrong." Hell, I would love to see the whole acoustic set :).
By far the best walkthrough of this song on UA-cam. Thanks man!
Thanks John!
Great lesson, thanks for posting this video
Found this video years ago but keep coming back to it because you still have the nicest sounding solo for this track on UA-cam. Actual Cantrell solos excluded of course.

Great video man helped a lot now I can play the whole song! Thanks:)
Thank you so much for your awesome lessons. I started learning with them two weeks ago (I once took lessons like ten years ago but I never made it further than learning five or six chords) now I can play this solo and also learned how to play Brother and Down in a Hole and it is so much fun and I love it. I can't afford guitar lessons cause I am one of these 'poor students who eat canned beans'-people, but if you have a paypal/donate thing going I'd sure like to contribute to you making more videos. Greetings from Berlin, Germany!
Thanks so much!! That's really great to hear, those are some fun songs to play for sure. I need build a site and add a paypal button, I've thought of doing that before but I figured no one would donate. I'm going to hopefully start kicking out more lessons soon! Thanks for the support!!!
Thank you very much ! Very helpful indeed. I keep on comin' back to your lessons more often than not because your lessons are very precise and well done. I learn a lot from you. And you pick very good bands too like Alice in chains and STP and so on. Have a nice day !
You're welcome very much and thanks! I try my best on these lessons and the song picks!

Thanks, I mostly reference live versions when learning a song.
...just got an idea for you since your lessons are so good. "Bother" by stone sour, acoustic? There are a few on UA-cam but I'd love to see your version. Thanks

Awesome! Thank you for the feedback and support!!
Thanks! It's a good for sure!

For sure, thank you! I use Elixir nanoweb 12-53
Love this lesson. I just got my acoustic and the first song I want to learn is nutshell. I know I'm crazy for just jumping right into a song without knowing the basics first but this video will help me. I have written down the frets your using along with the strings and just doing little by little. I'll get it eventually :) Thanks for the video!!!
Awesome, you're welcome! Jumping right into songs is great in my opinion! And taking notes is good and will be really helpful. Thanks and best of luck with it!!
Thanks!!
I cannot wait! Thanks again for all of your great videos and hard work. Also, thanks for the quick replies!

You're welcome, good to hear!
Your welcome!! Glad it helped!!!
Thanks a lot, for sure a good song!!
Idk if anyone has mentioned it or not but on the 3rd section you said to fret the B and e on the 10th fret with your ring finger and fret the D with your 1st on the 9th. But it's actually on the 7th. Don't want anyone giving you shit for it, since this is a great video
Great lesson, thanks!
Thanks Luke, you're welcome!!
Thanks man. You're my guy!
Nice vid, i subbed. I was curious as to what taylor that is, i play a DN3.

Love it Dude! 🤘🏻
Thanks Jody!
Cool man, thanks!
Very cool, thank you!
Thanks, good stuff!!
Sounds good to me and thanks for the feedback!
Definitely understood. You fretted the 7th, which is right, but said 9th. It's in that first lead, 3rd section. I should've clarified lol. Anyway, this video is perfect, thanks a lot for uploading it! I'll be checking out your other ones
Great tone man. I've been playing for 18 years and never had an acoustic. I think it's time for one!
+lecorsaire Thanks! You should pick one up! The Taylors play really well and have pretty good tone IMO.
+rpguitarvideos yeah Taylor's are awesome. I used to think a D-28 was the ultimate acoustic and they do sound good but the Taylor's just play much better and sound incredible. I was really impressed.
Ya for sure they make nice stuff!
I wish I’ve found this video earlier, this is beautiful
Thanks and glad you did find it!
good to hear, thanks!!
I mean, what kind of guitar are you using? I fell in love with it.
Hey man just passing by again ! Great stuff better than any tab on guitar tab !
Thanks for coming back and glad to help out! Ya the tabs on there are pretty bad most of the time.
Awesome!!
great video thanks and good teaching
Thanks!
Love your AIC lessons, any chance of a Heaven Beside You lesson, as I think this is such an underrated AIC song?
+Greig Fraser Thanks a bunch Greig! I'll eventually do a lesson on every AIC song but I'll think about bumping that one up the list!
Thanks man!
Ya that sounds right to me, thanks. It gets confusing trying to teach these lessons especially a solo.
thanks for the video!
You're welcome and thanks for sharing it!!
Great lesson,Thanks
+TARAS Thanks, you're welcome!
Thanks. Help a lot
cool, I'll check it out.
great !!!! im playing now :)
Great tutorial - helps a lot. I can't figure out one thing though. Even when I tune a half step down my G string is off half a step. I checked the tuning, and all of the other notes ring true...?
great lesson man. I play this song all the time now. Thanks
hell yeah me too.
