Just wanted to comment on your success. I started watching your channel back when you were mainly shining shoes. I have continued to watch as your interests and fortunes have progressed. I thought your personality was a little off-putting originally, but have learned to respect where you have taken your business and channel, and you have endeared yourself to many in the related business world and your subscribers, including myself. There are precious few channels devoted to what I call civility as it relates to "gentlemen's interests." Its almost non-existent in our culture. I praise you for sticking with the genre and producing such professional content. Being an older gentleman, I find it refreshing to know their are still a few of us around, and especially a young one like yourself. I wish you all the best.
Could go down as one of the most important videos in the history of cigar connoisseurship. Fine work Kirby and incredible experts sharing their unbelievable knowledge.
THANK YOU!!! It was a MASSIVE undertaking. I mean, 1 hour 45 minutes. With graphic inserts. Absolute crazy. I don't want to even think how many hours - weeks(!!!) - this took to edit. Hats off to the editing team for doing such a fantastic job.
Hey Kirby, thanks for the great video. Had dinner with friends last night and had ribeyes, scotch and a Davidoff Churchill Toro. My friend from England had a selection of scotches from the five regions and told us about the history of scotch. I thought of you and how you would enjoy an evening like this. Cheers and keep up the great work.
As someone who doesn't get the chance to travel, but was fortunate enough to have a friend bring back several sticks from Cuba when you could do that. I always enjoy these videos because it helps me remember the good times that were had alongside those Cuban Cigars.
I’ve had my share of Cuban cigars. If you get a chance to visit Cuba - I’ve found that a fresh hand rolled Cuban made right in front you - on a Cuban tobacco farm is the very best experience of what makes a Cuban cigar such a special experience. No frills, no particular brand name. Take a fresh hand rolled box with you and pick up a bottle of some home town local Cuban rum. If your a Cigar enthusiast, it’s worth the trip to Cuba - with the backdrop of the old world culture & music- it’s an escapist experience you will never forget especially from a balcony with a view of the city, a cigar, and the midnight air.
@@christianoliver3572 You will! Put a little aside every week, pick a future date on the calendar 📅 circle it - make it a goal. I hung a picture on my bathroom mirror as a reminder every morning of the trip I was planning. Research, watch UA-cam videos of various people’s trips. One life big dog, one life - go for it - and enjoy it to the fullest. Let me know how it turns out!
@@the.christian.gentleman It's not about money - I'm American and I'm just not too sure about going there. From what I understand it's possible to go over from Mexico and not have to get a visa or my passport stamped but I'm just not sure about it.
First comment on your channel Kirby just want to let you know I appreciate your channel. Watching your visit to Cuba and your conversations with these fine people, i've received so much knowledgeable information on the Cuban cigar world and the appreciation for these beautiful works of art. Being a young man getting into cigars in America I only have access to the new world smokes but my godfather blessed me with a H. Upmann magnum 46 and that was a treat and a day i can never forget so hope to get my hands on more cubans. Thank you again sir 👍🏾
Sitting on the balcony and enjoying a quai d'orsay 54, the video is pure enjoyment, thanks for the insights Kirby, Im looking forward to the Cuba shots ❤️🇨🇺🍂💨 Greetings from Germany 👋🏼
A truly phenomenal interview. Hands down one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. I also want to say that I am beyond excited for the upcoming Cuba series. I believe that Kirby’s upcoming Cuba series will go down in the greatest of all time category.
What a wonderful episode.... The knowledge and expertise is truly next level .. Thank you all for giving up your time to share with us this amazing historical discussion.
A suggestion. The UK has great histories in fly fishing and golf - both gentlemanly pursuits. Fly fishing especially, as practiced by the Brits, is beautiful, and fly tying, especially, is a very interesting craft worthy of one of your videos.
Great video. Great channel Kirby. Like fine wine, fine cigars are a connoisseur's pleasure. Just that smoking and drinking can kill if done in excess or over a long period of time. Enjoy them and the bonding aspect as long as you can, but beware! Golf is much healthier and less revolting.
Kirby thank you so much for this video. I'm not a very good collector because whenever I buy a box or two of RE or LE Cubans they're always so good that I just go ahead and smoke them. I was very blessed to be able to buy a box of the Por Larrañaga Magnificos from Mitchell Orchant and I still have three left in my humidor.
Entertaining, instructiv!, seductiv!, thank you Mr. Allison. P.S.: are there any Mathemathics of indulgence with offering the smallest seating accomodation to the Lady?
Regional cigars were a marketing ploy. There is NOTHING special about them other than the extra band. They were a tool used to create a buzz regarding availability ...."oh...these were limited to Spain or Lebanon". It continues today and it is all B.S. You want something special....buy something that is a "limited edition" or "reserve". These are actually blends that are created especially for that particular cigar. The whole Cuban cigar industry is 3 card Monty!
For the record, the first deviation from the standard brands was in late 60'S. This was followed in mid 70's with a diff tent range and the culmination of the deviation was in1998 with the first Ediciónes Limitadas in 2000, Resrva in 2003....and so on... Someone should whisper to Ana Lopez to get her pre 2000 knowledge of facts right.

Thanks Kirby! This episode cost me £600 for 3 La Reina’s :))
Haha! Well done! The last time I was proofing it, I smoked a Sancho Panza Sancho!
Kirby is a treat and delight! Love the long form vidd
It’s practically a feature film. This is becoming a very expensive labor of love. The videos are now costing me more than the cigars! 😅😂

How do you bring in unlabeled rum?
Or do you just drink it there in Cuba?

The quality of the regional are testimony to the pride of the Cuban ppl and is in stark contrast to the obstacles the Cuban ppl face on a daily basis

Kirby! Would you ever come to California to Telfords Pipe and cigar and do a video with me and the owner?
When will the Cuban series be released?
