I'm new to cigars. I just smoked cigarettes when I was in the service and it stuck with me after I got out and I hated the smell on my clothes and fingers. Then went to vaping and we'll looks embarrassing as hell puffing on those things. Then my supervisor introduced me to cigars and now we have humidor in our office and different types of cigars. They smell great! You don't look like an idiot smoking them, and it's a nice calming ritual instead of just lighting it and not paying attention to the craftsmanship and smells and taste. I love them. And I've learned a lot from this channel the past couple of months and it's changed the way I light the cigars it's amazing! So thank you!
I stopped by Davidoff on a recent trip and introduced myself to Eddie S. He was sitting in a chair like the spot in the video, we had a short and friendly chat. Eddie was just the gentleman you see. Best wishes to all for a better 2023

These series should happen more often - I cannot get enough of them. Simple and elegant conversations by amazing gentleman. These series are my most favorite to watch, no movie, show or other tv series can beat them. Kirby has to move to London 😄

I visited just before Xmas and was served by eddie after a chat about the videos and answering some questions I was turned towards the hoyo de monterrey petit rabusto for my first cigar but I got the davidoff number 2 and made the number 2 my first smoke. But hoyo is now my go to brand an amazing recommendation from eddie

It's always so great listen to Kirby Allison and the Sahakians. Learning about cigars and the fine taste surrounding them. An hour is running like nothing and I never get bored. By the way. I like Edward's humor when he tells Kirby at the beginning that his voice is "quiet sexy".
Upsetting that Eddie talks of how little money flows back to the makers yet Kirby instantly interrupts him and changed the conversation. As a communist country it’s difficult to do much about this as a consumer but would be great to hear more of this from Eddie
Ok the cigar companies are owned by the government. So if it was a private company the workers are still only paid a wage. Yes it’s government owned it’s sad but in the end it’s not going to stop any of us from buying these beautiful cigars. It’s just life
@@survivalSC You are right but where you work for a company you have a government enforcing a minimum wage (speaking for the UK) that protects you and then your employer sets above that. There are also unions the help to fight for better pay. In Cuba they are only able to accept what they are given and there is no one to protect them. I do agree it will not stop people from buying cigars, myself included, however if you are therefore going to participate in the industry its desirable to at least educate one self to have greater understanding and respect for the product you have.
I absolutely fangirled with my other half the other day. We were having breakfast at Francos across the road from Davidoff. Said I would have to visit one day to purchase as there was a chance to meet Eddie or indeed Edward. As we walk in Eddie walks through the door just in front of us to deliver some gifts to the shop. Seemed as much of a gentleman then as in any of these videos. And furthered my resolve to visit and purchase in the shop!
A fantastic memory of course. Do certainly action that desire to visit Davidoff perhaps in 2023. I think it's great that Franco's gets a lot of mentions on Kirby's Davidoff videos. Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2023 to you.

As much as I like the aesthetic of function and love to see properly functional parts of cars, watches, or any machinery I really miss the fine quality, the elegance of them. What I learned from watching this video is not necessarily anything about Cuban cigars, but mainly a reminder of how much more we need to appreciate what we have today,to enjoy what we have today,to value the time that we have today. I was born in 1985 in Cuba and can not tell you how many times I had cigars like this in my hands when grand parents and or neighbors were smoking them. I thought very little of it and never gave much importance to it,only have memories of family gatherings and birthday parties. To imagine I would find this video 25 years later where someone across the world appreciates and value so much an item( for lack of better word) we had taken for granted then. Not even cubans can get their hands anymore on cigars even remotely close to the quality of what's shown in this video today.
I love the almost exaggeratedly gentlemanly conduct with these guys. The world we live in has become so coarsened and crude. This is a lovely antidote. Cheers, gentlemen.

Thanks to the advice of someone at Davidoff London I was able to get a box of Signature number 2 cigars from a reseller in Geneva and I hope to enjoy them and receive them before the new year And I love your styles, especially the cream suit from Eddie Nothing is classier than a cream color I am alone during these periods of Christmas and New Year and it makes me happy to see a new video with the Sahakian and Kirby

Edward carrying that humidor all the way from Cuba; reminds me of my grandad who carried his marble chest set all the way from Italy. I smoked my first cigar recently, a Don Diego piramades special edition; it was quite nice, but nothing in comparison to what you gentleman smoke here. Still, I would have loved to share one with him. A toast to all cigar lovers past and present!
Absolutely love both Mr Sahakians, ultimate politeness and gentlemanly etiquette. I have to say that despite my passion for Cuban cigars, their poor construction and more latterly the ridiculous price increases, are pushing me to New Worlds more and more. For my palate Cubans can’t be matched but I’m exploring and learning to enjoy New Worlds. Cubans are now a lifestyle choice, Seiko or Rolex 🤷♂️

I'm one of those men in their 40s who just picked up their first cigar in the past year. It's been a lot of fun exploring different brands and blends and, in spite of all of the anti-smoking propaganda us GenXers grew up with, very enjoyable and not terribly unhealthy. I haven't been in the UK since 1995, but these videos you've shared with the Sahakians are enough to tempt me to head back for a visit.

I have to say as what I consider still very new to cigars only have been smoking a little over a year. I love enjoying one of my cigars while watching. The knowledge I learn on every video and love of the history is such a great viewing while enjoying a great cigar. ❤

For my palate Cubans can’t be matched but I’m exploring and learning to enjoy New Worlds. Cubans are now a lifestyle choice, Seiko or Rolex 🤷♂️

I watch all these presentations and every time I think what a wonderful job,working in a cigar shop must be ,the aroma meeting interesting people an opportunity to dress nicely ,it might sound snobish but too me it is undeniable ultra dignified employment
I met Edward Sahakian about 6 months ago on my travels through London. What a gentleman.
Some day I want to sit and enjoy an aged scotch and a nice Cuban cigar with Eddie in his lounge, and just let his accent and personality bring an air of sophistication to my otherwise humble life. :)
That would be the ultimate dream.

I'm one of those men in their 40s who just picked up their first cigar in the past year. It's been a lot of fun exploring different brands and blends and, in spite of all of the anti-smoking propaganda us GenXers grew up with, very enjoyable and not terribly unhealthy.
I haven't been in the UK since 1995, but these videos you've shared with the Sahakians are enough to tempt me to head back for a visit.

@@kirbyallison The very first one was El Gueguense from Foundation in the Macho Raton shape. From there I've mostly been smoking various brands and types trying to find my favorites. Haven't gotten to try a real Cuban yet, though. Thanks for the response!

I have to say as what I consider still very new to cigars only have been smoking a little over a year. I love enjoying one of my cigars while watching. The knowledge I learn on every video and love of the history is such a great viewing while enjoying a great cigar. ❤

Edwin, i find Edward tolerance of sharing those (old cubans) gems with Kirby, a true expression of his legacy. Edward, in my opinion, is the last knight of the cigar temple and the last standing fortress of a breed of aficionados that contemporize the golden age of the Cuban cigars.
