Thank you so much one of my corner was dinked and I had a mj 92-93 fleer and I got it graded back a 10 I can’t believe it bro
Excellent!!! Thanks for letting me know 🔥🔥
Picking this up soon!! Thanks for the demonstration
Most likely going to order this tool soon I need to fix a Mahomes rookie card and a couple Shohei’s corners
Thanks for this video. Gonna check out the tool
If you have questions please let me know, always happy to help.
Kurt, I just pulled a Cade Kaboom RC with a dinged corner, think this would work on this modern card?
Shadow of a fan was here on sight.
thank you
i just pulled Freddy Peralta topps 87 anniversary on card auto /200 out of topps series 1
i screamed for joy when i saw the card and then immediate panic when i saw the corner
i’m not selling it but i want it to look decent on the shelf
I just added a new video dedicated to all corners and edges. It’s on a Brady rookie. Check it out, it might help you out 🤙🏼

Kurt, awaiting your kit. Question, what is a good method to remedy rough edges. I'm sure you have a video on it. It's mostly on the thick panini cards. I have a bunch of "the rookies" that you would say corners 10, centering 10 surface 10 edges 1, lol. I'm sure you know what I mean. It's on prisms, mosaics. It looks like it's in what looks like the plastic top to protect the ink. Thanks for all you helpfully tips, I'm an old topps guy who ran away from card collecting when all the new cards came out and I always thought the graders ruined the hobby not to mention the makers. St*t, I remember buying and opening my first pack for dime. First card was a rookieThumon Munson. I awake after all these years to a word of metal and plastc and grading is pretty much SOP. if you can't beat them join them. Sorry, I still miss my bubble gum😉😂😂😂😂😂
Hey Anthony, thanks for the message. You’re right, things of changed quite a bit. This is my 30th year of collecting and definitely different than pre-grading days. Some of the edges are modern era cards come out totally nasty and there’s nothing you can really do with them. Other times there’s little dings or bumps and you can use the edge/corner to fix those. If you are on Instagram follow me there because I can easily drop you links to videos for specific issues. You’re part of the family now so make sure you check in anytime, I will always share my best practices with you!
@@kurtscardcare thanks Kurt! Will do. Oh almost forgot, any hope for a paper back that looks like it has some oil from printing. I thought it was a wax stain, then remembered it was 2022😂😂😂😂😂
@@crazyantny9161 weird!! Shoot me a pic on Instagram. I am curious what it is too? Sounds like my 80s basketball cards :)
@@kurtscardcare I'll try to get you a better cam to get a good pic. The sporting isn't heavy, but it's a qualifyer
Your products are awesome but very expensive to ship to Europe. Do you have any European-based distributors?
Yes, a few Hobby Stock and 3rd Down displays out of the UK. Shipping prices suck. I wish it was cheaper.
I have this one card that has white spots on it as it was being stuck with other cards for quite awhile, is there any way I can remove it? Thanks.
I’d like one of these!!!
Thanks for asking. Ordering info at www.kurtscardcare.com - feel free to shoot me any questions. Have a good weekend.
Lightly wet the corner and put it In the middle of a heavy book for a few days that will fix it. The question is how do you fix corners to not show Amy missing ink . I have a beautiful Jerry Rice rookie perfect centering crisp but one dang corner is missing a tiny spot of green. Gem 10 if it wasn't for that crap
It’s a dead end for me when you have missing ink. But I’m good at getting them back in shape if it’s still there.
Thank you. I have a Dan Marino rookie card with recent sales history over 3k for a 10
Wow did you make that tool? Your so awesome brother
I do, thank you. If you ever need one they come in my card care kit ✌🏼
@@kurtscardcare it's ok brother I know I can't.. I'm from Philippines.. I just watched this I do have a metal universe of Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson also has a deng
Do you just roll the tool on the edges? I want to start practicing tonight.
You can gently roll or hold like a pencil. practice on a card you don't care about first. OR email me and we can have a quick zoom. I want you to be successful! I'll teach you- Kurt
So what if there's a white excess at the corner? Just leave it or cut it off? Thanks for this video
If you have white corners, I don’t touch them. You’re probably missing a little bit of paint. If you have flaky edges, I use painters tape to remove the little flyaways. 👍🏼
@@kurtscardcare 🙌 Thank you!
Where can I buy your tool? Also, doing what you did, does it not devalue the card?
My products are available on my website. www.kurtscardcare.com. Thank you for asking.
You could devalue your card if you made a mistake. But if you practice you will get good at working on little things.
@@kurtscardcare Thank you for replying!
Are the corner tools that you sell on your site the ones that look like sponges on the end of an orange handle, or are they surgical tubing? If surgical tubing, I don't see them mentioned anywhere. Thanks
Good question, the corner tool is the black handle with the tubing. That comes with my card care kit. The orange handles swabs are just used for applying polish. You throw those away after each session
I noticed that I haven't seen you do any Chrome cards in your videos can you not repair dinged corners on Chrome cards?
Great request Troy I’ll absolutely do it!
I have a ding in the middle of the bottom edge of a Donruss downtown (I unfortunately pulled it in that state). Would this tool also work for dings/folds in the middle of the edge (or just the corners)?
I don't, the downtown surface is different. It's hard to ever get a plastic surface or foil surface to appear like nothing happened. If you are on Instagram you can send me a picture
hey kurt, thanks, i had a question, is this considered corner pressing? also this question popped into mind because on one of your other videos you mention putting a card between 2 glass dishes, any help is appreciated.
I’m sure you could call it a gentle press. I just use it to hold the card in place after I make the corrections so it can retain to the original position. You don’t want to smash it down you could hurt the card.
@@kurtscardcare so is putting a card between 2 books to press out wrinkles bad? like is it an alteration that grading services dont like, kind of like trimming?
@@caedenchang9062 No, that's totally fine. Nothing like trimming a card.
@@kurtscardcare have you done it before and sent into grading with no problems?
@@caedenchang9062 Yes, absolutely. The key is to get the card to the original shape. The plates are necessary in many cases. But you don't want to smash the card like a pancake.
Just got my kit (thank you for very fast shipping), can you do damaged corners on 2021 optic football?? I’ve been working the same card for an hour to no prevail
Hi Sheree, you can only do so much. If you have creases the chances go down quickly. But if you want me to take a look I can give you my opinion. If you’re on Instagram shoot me a message, happy to take a look ✌🏼
Have you ever been able to grade a card with a dented corner before? Has it graded at a 10 or 9?
Hey thanks for asking, yes mild corner dings, as long as they have the paint still attached you can get them back into shape and easily get a 9+. As soon as you see white on edges and corners it’s typically game over because it’s missing paint and you can’t restore that. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for asking -Kurt
@@kurtscardcarethanks for the reply and help. do you have videos of what graders look for in your opinion ?
@@cruzin1383 I just follow the sub scores like on a BGS, surface, edges corners and centering. If I can make a good evaluation that all of those check out and look good my grades come back favorable.
Does this tool work on paper cards or older cards that are more glossy. Like 89 hoops ect
Hey, for sure. I use this tool on any card that has minor edge/corner issues. If the card is bent its probably not saveable but for little bumps or smaller issues it works great. - Thanks for asking - Kurt
Kurt’s Card Care I sent you an email to see if I can purchase the tool alone without the whole kit. I don’t polish any cards so it would be a waste. Let me know I’m very interested.
Hi, does that tool make scratches on the card? Also, will this technique work on 70s Topps? Thanks!
The tool could but you wouel have to be working with a heavy hand. Just be delicate and put a penny speve between the tool and cad and you will be good. Makw sure you practice and get a feel for it. Its not hard but does require some technique :) - Kurt
Do you take commissions to fix others cards?
No. But I can teach you how to do it.
What if your doing this on a foil card? Where the surface is extremely sensitive. Is it still doable?
You have the greenlight on foil cards. You’re correct they are sensitive so you’re gonna wanna practice on your base cards first. Just to get the feel. If you follow me on Instagram I have videos on there that are not on UA-cam because they are Instagram live videos. I worked on a foil card last night (MJ Fleer metal) and a couple last week. Take a look and shoot me any questions, always happy to help
What kind if material is the mat that you use?
Its Tool Box Liner. I buy it in a roll and cut it to 6x6 - I get it on amazon
Question... You mention sprays... What exactly for
Hey how’s it going, I make a spray that I use on Cards when they have sticky stuff, dirt or old heavy fingerprints on the card to remove them. Stuff I can’t get off with a microfiber
If you check out some of my videos on my channel you’ll see me use it often. If you need anything my website is www.kurtscardcare.com

i know how to get wax stains off the front but on the back of old hockey cards from the 1970s what should i do easier on the front because the gloss on the front seems to help but the back i just cannot find anyway to remove wax
Hi Tom, thanks for the question. If you have dried wax on the back of your cards from gum or wax packs gently rub nylons/pantyhose on the old wax or gum spots. This will gently remove the wax if possible. Good luck
