If spiderman is Elden ring daredevil should be dark souls 1, smaller but way more vertical. Think Arkham city that sits above the subway which sits above old Gotham ruins which sits above wonder city, while also letting you assend to the top of wonder tower
A “devil” costume for him would be so cool tbh. Like it would have his features become more vague and monstrous and have him resemble the monster criminals see him as. I’ve seen such good fan art of it fr
I think having Phoenix wright-like court gameplay might be cool, along with Matt being able to investigate the crime scenes kinda like the crime scene investigations in the Arkham games
and you could include a keeping his identity hidden part in the crime scenes. daredevil makes the crime scene when fighting, the next day matt has to seem like he doesnt know too much, so like if u move to quickly to each clue, you get a suspicion meter and if it fills, you fail the mission
@@CaptLumpycake That seems a bit too frustrating lol. Players would constantly be like "why the hell did I just fail?", so it would be better if it was more of a dialogue added during the story, like: "wow, for a blind guy, you uncovered the clues like you saw the crime happening".
An Antman game would also be awesome. If you went with Scott Lang, you could have a great story about balancing being a superhero and being a father, and scale could be the most important aspect of the game.
I would love a Sifu type game for Daredevil, one of my favorite Marvel heroes. I think that it would be a cool idea if the tutorial missions were flashbacks to Matt training sessions with Stick. Have it so that way the better that Matt becomes with his senses and abilities, the better we become. And one suit that I believe needs to be an alternate costume is the current suit he’s wearing in Chip Zdarsky’s run that is drawn by Marco Checchetto. I think it’s a perfect reinvention of his classic red suit and it feels perfect for him.
@@troyoboyo17 I’m in full agreement with you. And if in this hypothetical game they made Elektra a playable character, her Daredevil suit is a must have. It feels like a perfect evolution for her character and for her and Matt’s relationship.
i love the idea of seeing him training with stick-reminds me of in jedi fallen order how you unlock new abilities by getting flashbacks to cal’s master training him
Honestly so many superheroes deserve their own games, and YES Daredevil definitely deserves a game kin to Sifu & the Arkham/Insomniac Spiderman games. I also think if Insomniac is willing to dive into other comic book characters, I think that they would be perfect to make a Flash game with the storytelling and gaming mechanics magic they could apply to a character like Flash. Would love to hear what other characters do you think deserve games.
I’ve had an idea for a Flash game for years where it’s like Majora’s Mask and Barry is trapped in a time loop. I might make a video on it one of these days
@@troyoboyo17 Interesting, sounds very cool. Ive never heard of Majora's Mask so Im interested to learn more about it. Ive always thought that Insonmiac's open-world gameplay could apply extremely well with The Flash and could apply a completely new level of game mechanics and traversal to really give The Flash the treatment he deserves, as well as fun boss battles with The Rogues. Ive also had this idea of a Green Lantern game (not the 2011 GL game), but a GL game that takes advantage of of the intergalactic potential and worldbuilding, utilising a meter of sorts to formulate an almost limitless range of imaginative constructs.
Something I'd really like to see with these Insomniac Marvel games is each hero's game having a gameplay style/genre that reflects the character. Like, for Spider-Man, it's those big open-world games, filled with side-quests and little meaningless activities, whereas for Wolverine it'd be something more story focused like The Last Of Us, having you make your way through individual areas trying to accomplish some important goal (I mean, Logan isn't really the kind of guy to go around collecting whiskey bottles and shit when he's gunning for a villain, right? It'd feel goofy imo). I think for Daredevil, it'd be important to have a gameplay split between the more subdued lawyer life and the action-packed hero life, maybe the lawyer stuff would be somewhat linear sections with an emphasis on discovery and characters like Pheonix Wright where hero life would be going out into Hell's Kitchen and being more proactive about stopping the crimes before they get so bad that lawyer matt has to step in, having a smaller open-world to explore, which you'd have an easier time appreciating the smaller details of, especially with the lawyer sections
I'd like to see the insomniac-verse expanded, yet at the same time I'd want a hypothetical DD game to have a distinct visual style. they could even lean even harder on matt's radar sense and stylize everything in some way to better immerse the players into how he sees the world.
This is a great idea. You could even have a spin-off game about the Punisher. I’d always loved the idea of a narrative-driven singleplayer first person shooter game that allowed us to play as Punisher.
I think the 2 biggest challenges of a Punisher game would be to make traversal fun (If it's open world) and to make him brutal but not enough to be rated NC-17
@@outstandingdogmarron2567 Punisher needs to be at least M-rated, to show explicit violence and language we get from games such as 'Mortal Kombat' and 'The Last Of Us'. Nudity and all that could be in it too, but the focus should always be on the violence. And I think there could be an open world, but it would have to be a smaller version of Spider-Man's New York, where stuff like rooftops wouldn't be that accessible, unless Punisher has ended up there as he's fighting an enemy.
@@radrno7 I think rating boards now are more lenient than in 2005 where they had to put filters over some kills in the PS2 Punisher so it might not be as hard as it was then. I think maybe they could include fast travel through the sewers like how Dolph Lundgren's Punisher got around, they could have a base in the sewers as well.
@@outstandingdogmarron2567 Definitely, I certainly count on the rating being done right. There's just no reason to not make a M-rated Punisher game, specially nowadays. Yeah, I always thought they could do it like 'Days Gone' and give Punisher a motorcycle and that van he uses in the comics. The van would be more to resist larger guns and carry your arsenal, and the bike to travel faster. Either way, you'll have to travel on foot to fight the enemies, but it could work to have a few missions where you have to face enemies on vehicles and you can run some of them over in a very violent style. There's also the subway system, which I think would be a great scenario for a gunfight.
They only marvel game I need in an open world is a black panther game, to parkour around the city of wakanda would be so fun and sense it’s a fictional setting you can make it how ever you want, wakanda is such a cool location you could do so much (also if it isn’t the main suit I need a suit with a cape)
Him grinding on rails seems like a great way to travel around Hell’s Kitchen back in an early 2000’s game. We truly missed out on what could have been a great game.
If stealth was involved I think there could be a neat spin on the superhero stealth genre. I know daredevil is usually more of a backflip inch ninja type of character, but stealth could be a great way to add to his power set. Remember how in the Arkham games You’d rarely turn off detective mode? What if daredevil has that but it’s supposed to be him using echo location. You could press a button and he clicks his billy clubs together and you get a pulse across the entire map. You can see everything for a few seconds. The drawback is that it will alert nearby enemies to your location so you can’t just use it all the time like in the Arkham games. High level strategies could be either luring enemies for a quick takedown, or luring they to another area of the map wile going for the objective. I think it’d be a great twist on the Arkham/Spider-Man type of stealth, wile making it uniquely “daredevil”.
Oh also if the enemies notice people getting taken out their heartbeats quicken and you start seeing them through wall more clearly and all the time. The drawback is that they get more unpredictable, shooting random directions or turn around a lot so it’s harder to sneak up on them (classic stealth game stuff). The trade off would be unpredictable enemies that are easy to spot, vs harder to spot enemies that are easier to predict when you do see them.
A costume costumization option would be cool. You can go more armored but then you are slower and less quiet. And no armor you are faster but can take more damage
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY agree with you! Hells Kitchen and outside throughout NY. Spidey can cameo, amongst other heroes and villains. Different costumes and villains. A Daredevil game is my dream game.
On the subject of using Matt's civilian identity, you could use a system like Gotham Knights, where you have Day and Night Sections where during the day the game operates like L.A. Noir where you're trying to find leads or clues that you can followup on at night as Daredevil then it climaxes with a boss battle at night with the lead criminal and once you beat him it would transition to day and you have to beat him in a court battle using all the evidence you've acquired
I don't know if there's a way to make this work well, but having some sort of mechanic where, if you attack an enemy after an incapacitating hit, you get locked into a 1-2 second animation where you repeatedly punch them, during which you are more vulnerable to enemy attacks could be cool. Something like that could incorporate Daredevil's struggle to control his rage into the gameplay whilst punishing spam-attacks and rewarding timing.
A Daredevil game, I think, should be like a Yakuza game. A compact and dense couple blocks that you can find lots of little shops for health, weapons, and substories. Including upgrades as well.
Personally I envisioned an experience that mostly, if not entirely from Matt’s “world on fire” perspective. There’s just so much you can pull off artistically with the abstract and expressive nature of his heightened senses. Like I’m imagining before you can visualize Foggy or Paige you have to feel their face to complete the picture in Matt’s head. Might be a little out there for triple A, but I feel like if they are gonna go for the “make you feel like Daredevil” route that’d be the best way to do it. Also for the love of god focus on sound design, shit’s so important.
I would not want to play a game where all the enemies look like amorphous blobs. Maybe for one mission but if an entire game looked like that it would get tiring pretty quickly.
The face touching can be interesting during the story, like let's say Matt is on a date with a chick and he uses that as an excuse to reach in for a kiss, with an artistic effect where we see it all happening from Matt's perspective. He sees everything he feels: her face, her eyes, her hair, her cheek, her chin, her mouth, her teeth, her breath, her neck, her clothes, her body. Could be something really nice to watch, and I mean that in a not creepy way lol.
I genuinely think a marvel game universe could be an absolutely amazing story and game series but i definitely feel like they would need multiple studios working on it because insomniac already has a lot on their plate as it is
I think rage mechanics that fit into the superhero game formula like a combo meter that builds up or as you get hit then you have the ability to let the devil out and do high damage at maybe the cost of the inability to dodge or counter. Combat built around building rage heavy boxing or alternative high reflex combos could be really creative, fluid and fun I've spent a long time thinking about this lol
Even though it seems very unlikely to ever happen. I’d actually really like to see Rockstar develop a Daredevil game. Especially, if it leaned heavily into Matt Murdocks life outside of crime fighting. Of course I want to play the vigilante and lawyer stuff. However, I’d also like some light hearted side activities with Foggy and Karen. Even leaning into stuff like attending a boxing match or going to church for confession in between missions may seem uninteresting to some people but I think those activities could be really useful In fleshing out a daredevil game’s supporting cast of characters.
Honestly, yeah this was something that crossed my mind. All of the little day-to-day things you can do in RDR2, apply those ideas to Hell's Kitchen and Matt. I think a good way some of this could work would be if doing these normal things could help you recover faster. Matt is a man who goes out and gets beat up six ways from Sunday mass a lot, but in stuff like the Netflix show his time spent with friends, helping a client, going to the gym his dad did, going to confession, etc. help him keep on keeping on and having those things be ways to speed up HP recovery so you can do it all again the next night could be interesting.
Yeah true they could be useful in terms of gameplay. A part of the reason why I like these ideas for side activities Matt could do is that narratively it could be more relatable for some players than it is to play as Peter Parker. I love how insomniac implemented Peter’s personal life through certain gameplay sections that highlighted how smart he is but not everyone is necessarily going to relate to Peter doing scientific circuit puzzles you know.
I wouldn’t want a big open world but a more detailed Hell’s Kitchen, for the traversal I would love a combination of assassins creeds parkour and Batman’s grappling hook, using daredevil’s parkour skills and batons to travel around the district could be amazing, and for the story if it is made by insomniac in miles morales one of the side quests implied Fisk may be returning so this game could follow up on that, Fisk is released and is trying to take over again but Matt has to find a way to stop him and put him in prison for good. And I would want Matt’s religion to be apart of it, it doesn’t have to be major it can be through a mission or a side quest, but his faith is important to his character and I want it to be represented
I'd imagine segments of the game focusing on the lawyer aspect could be similar to Ace Attorney, where you have to make your arguments and objections, and present the correct evidence. Also, in terms of the interconnectivity of the games you mentioned, I recall Insomniac saying their Wolverine game is NOT connected to their Spider Man games, universe-wise. Though a Daredevil game being connected to them would make sense.
Honestly, I was thinking Arkham Asylum would be a great example of how to handle a big story that takes place in a small space. An what I mean is, if you want Hell's Kitchen to feel massive, without having to widen it, just add layers to the world. Like youve got the street levels of Hell's Kitchen, then benath that you've got the train stations, an under that youve got the sewers, an even benath that you could have the abandon train stations benath New York. The list goes on, but that's just my chip into it all.
Great vid, I think sifu is a really great inspiration for the combat, like you mention. On the flip side, I think LA Noire could be a really good blueprint for a lot of the non-combat stuff, the interviews with various people in your court cases (or interrogations of thugs you beat) helping you unravel some bigger conspiracy.
honestly, in terms of the world/level, i can imagine it playing out like mirrors edge, so dense with places to go and see but with a lot of freerunning abilities that allow for really cool traversal techniques within a set area of new york. Id kill for a game that has sifu levels of combat but with mirrors edge like traversal systems
Also I'd want the game to have a unique visual style. Go for some more out there and unrealistic visuals that would let us see inside the mind of Matt Murdock
You could have multiple vision modes similar to Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Sound, Scent, and thermal (aka touch). Sound would be like “Mark of the Ninja”, Scent is self explanatory, and touch would be a very close range version of thermal vision. The “focus mode” that you came up with would let you see all of these at once along with attack indicators, but you can get stunned by loud noises, smelling salts, and extreme temperatures like fire or liquid nitrogen.
The different combat stances could also change traversal. Staff would let you grind on stuff, Batons act like Ezio’s hook-blade from Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, and Hands would be the default.
Personally would really like to see a tease of Cage, Jones, and Rand. Would also potentially like a scene where DD is saved by a rifle shot from an unknown shooter, Frank Castle. As for the villain, I think an adaption of Mister Fear would be very cool and totally agree that the word should have more indoor style areas. Would like to see different “paths” in the upgrades section that focus more on boxing style moves, martial arts moves, baton based moves, and upgrades for his sensory abilities. An explanation for his upgrades could be ‘harnessing chi’ or something. Also don’t have suit upgrades, for most of the game he should just have a generic suit and the clubs as equipment and that’s it. Then maybe later, like in DD S1, he gets a suit with some additional features. Hope to see a DD game in the future.
I feel like if you mixed the fighting and stealth from Arkham series and the swinging and acrobatics from spider-man you’d have a pretty decent daredevil game
Рік тому+1
I'm picturing the "lawyer" system working like LA Noire's interrogation sequences but more in depht.
I also thinking taking damage should play into the gameplay more than just lowering your health bar. It would be really cool if he got some kind of rage mode after taking so much damage.
Maybe each suit could give Matt different stats. The yellow one could have him run and fight faster; the Frank Miller suit could have him dish out more damage; the Shadowland suit could have him recover faster.
I've been thinking for a while now that the best way to do a Daredevil game is have the whole game only ever seen through Matt's perspective. with a sort of cel shaded comic style that uses sound as it's "lighting engine" like he mentioned, similar to Perception 2017 no switching detective vision on and off, commit to making the whole game in "detective mode" but using that comic cel shading style in a black, white and red color pallete to make it slick and stylish as opposed to the standard ugly blue filter arkham detective mode. imagine the title screen of matt on a rooftop looking over a city illuminated only by sound, the noise of the streets glowing up from below shining off the buildings. at any time you would have the option to press a button to generate a sonar ping by making a noise (snapping his fingers, tapping his sticks together or on a nearby object) but once illuminated by sound (either by you or ambient noise) the environment stays 'discovered' so you don't have to constantly generate noise, most of the time the world will be loud enough to automatically fill in the environment. during normal fights the scuffling of shoes and shouting of goons would light the scene but then later in the game the hand ninjas would become a more difficult enemy because you need to use different techniques to detect them, like looking for a dark spot where their soft sound absorbent robes are or the sound reflective surface of their weapons imagine Matt and Foggy investigating a crime scene and you have to rely on foggy to fill in some gaps like the color of the walls, which get filled in on screen as he mentions them. I really think this is the only way to do it. it's a million times cooler than making it just an optional vision mode in yet another standard "realistic graphics" game.
It would be so dope to play a Daredevil game that is a mix between a sidescroller (like the new prince of persia game that is coming out soon), and a Telltale game, and also in the art style of a Telltale game. Like when you play as Daredevil, it's a sidescroller, and when you play as Matt Murdock, it switches to a Telltale game with cinematics and a moral system. A moral system would fit just perfectly for Matt Murdock, because as a lawyer you can decide how you are defending your clients in court with the choices that you make in the story, also it would be cool if there is an option while playing as Matt Murdock to listen to their haertbeat when the game allows you to choose that option, and that the game encourage you as the player to wear headphones, so it also needs to have great sound design to take full advantage of your surroundings when you're wearing headphones to have the full experience of being Matt/Daredevil. Like Imagine overhearing things from goons with funny dialogue like the Arkham games that might help you in your case, or also finding important documents in braille and recordings laying around that also gives you more world building and as a bonus more options to choose for your morality system. kinda like in "Detroit become human" when you explore more of your saroundings to give a you a upper hand in your choices. Speaking of braille, it would be kinda a cool feature if you are able to translate the braille documents by slowly swiping the touchpad from left to right, like as if you're reading braille and it translates to normal text on your screen. Kinda like this: ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Swipe 👆➡️👆 It says: TEXT And also when you play as DD, the environment would look like as if the world's on fire, like how Matt described it in the Netflix series. And when you play as Matt, it just normal looking Telltale style gameplay. Some people may think a sidescroling game is boring, cause i have to admit, some sidescrollers are boring. Like Assassin's creed chronicles China. But i see a lot of potential in this. Like if there is enough love and care put in the character, and with the right people working on a game like this, maybe it would even change our perspective on how we view on sidescroling superhero games in the future.
I feel they can use the radar sense as a detective vision sort of thing. Use it to find clues to track somebody down, look into somebodies murder, use it to spot targets and objects to take them out with
There could be segments where you have to track someone by their scent trail or look around a specific area and listen for certain sounds. Really sell that Daredevil uses ALL of his senses to navigate.
I think the main problem with a Daredevil game is that he is blind, and the fact that you could be able to walk around seeing everything that happens would be a little off since you can't really see anything as the character but how would you really implement a "Blind mode" without scaring people away from playing
Matt Murdock is my Third Favorite Superhero Character of all time. As a Christian I feel happy to see how Matt’s Catholicism is a source of strength for him that helps him make the right decisions. Matt isn’t perfect but he will always try his best to do good and keep going.
I would love to play a game like the one you describe, it would be awesome! Also you're so right, the lawyer gameplay would need to be there. In terms of what I would like of a Daredevil game, I think this would be a great opportunity to have a completely different type of gameplay created for visually impaired and blind people. Something along the lines of The Vale's narration & soundscape (with maybe Matt's internal narration for stuff players can't sense), but with layers upon layers of different things you can hear and are able to switch back and forth between, from the micro (hearing heartbeats, someone entering a code, leaves crunching to track), to the macro (a compilation of people talking around the city that would allow some detective work by trying to find patterns from what people are talking about to hunt down crime), to extending your hearing range in a way Matt would be able to do (listening at a regular level but far away), with the capabilities of the PS5 controller for combat (this would be a steep learning curve, but could be lots of fun). I am an animator and I love animation in videogames, but I would jump at the chance to play a game that puts as much love, care and dedication into the audible world as it does into the visual one.
You mentioned it slightly in terms of variety but Daredevil is pretty perfect for the Telltale style. Especially his stuff as a lawyer can be a real fun gameplay take where you have to use clues you find as daredevil to win cases or to put pressure on folk
I think it would be cool if there were certain enemies you couldn't really see unless you were in your blind mode. and you could see the weakest points on enemies for this mode too. like bullseye's attacks with random objects shouldn't be able to be dodged unless you are in blind mode
I really hope Insomniac does Daredevil or Punisher next after 'Wolverine', either one would fit just right in this universe. Daredevil has no powers beyond his radar senses so he should feel like a completely different character. He needs to use bandages to heal. His grappling hook doesn't go very far. His traversal should be closer to 'Assassin's Creed' and 'Mirror's Edge', where nailing the movements is essential since fall damage is deadly. I think it would be great if you had to go around beating up specific thugs to get information about some big crime boss (not necessarily Kingpin), where you'd have to pay attention to their heartbeat to tell if they're lying, else you run the risk to get something wrong and that could screw you up later. The data you gather from criminals or from crime scenes unlocks more options in the courtroom sections, so the better you play as Daredevil, the better you play as Matt Murdock, else both become harder to pass. Speaking of difficulty, I think it would be the best if his vision changes according to it, where if you want the true Daredevil experience with minimal sight at disposal, you play in the hardest mode. The game has to make you feel like Daredevil, and his life... is very tough, so that should always be the focus.
When playing both Spider-man games I really thought Daredevil would be next with all the references in the games about him. Or even Dr. Strange, although lesser easter eggs than DD. Was surprised when they announced that they're making a Wolvie game before the man without fear. Not complaining though, Wolvie game made by Insomniac still sounds cool as hell.
I think a Dr. Strange video game would be fantastic!! Also, it would give insomniac a chance to get more creative with the environment rather than still exploring New York again
A good way to make up for his blindness would be to have some sort of reverse Project Zomboid type vision, where you can't see enemies in front of you but you can see them around you.
They should have some sort of meter similar to the tasm2 game where if you get too brutal you are seen more like a villain, but if you go to a church and ask for forgiveness you are seen as a hero or at best a vigilante
They could actually do something similar to Farcry 3 where the more you level up/get better gear the better you get at beating up bad guys which makes Matt question his morality as he is becoming more and more violent and he realizes that he (to some extent) is enjoying it. This, if done well, could create a feeling of ludonarrative resonance where Matt starts enjoying the fight just as much as the player does making him question if what he’s doing is truly for the greater good.
My pitch: I want Insomniac to do it but lean towards style instead of just graphics. Kinda like Stifled you see using sound waves, vibrations and scent trails when you play as daredevil. Make everything black and red with red wave lines/scent trails. And if there’s a boss that knows DD’s weakness have him remove each sense with a deafening sound, a numbing agent, running to the sewers or just breaking his nose. And when DD loses all his senses you lose. The more health he loses the more everything sounds like it’s underwater DD’s heart starts to pound
What I would look for in a daredevil game would be traversal. Sure the map might be small, but it would be nice if I could get some spectacular parkour.
I think having the whole game be presented like Joel’s “super hearing” from The Last Of Us except for cutscenes obviously. Maybe certain things in battle could temporarily make it harder to hear which would add to the challenge. As for the lawyer stuff, I could see it being a straightforward “pass or fail” thing or more nuanced with the outcome affecting the story progression like a Telltale game. There could even be a mini game where you can listen to someone’s heartbeat and figure out whether they’re lying or not. A skill tree for each type of combat and traversal would also be cool. Scope wise, I think open zone but linear with side quests is the way to go.
Alright here me out here- Persona structure- like you have a set amount of time slots in a day and can investigate a case through going out as Daredevil or going to interview someone as Matt Murdock, and you have a certain amount of things to try and do and if you wipe out a gang hideout, you have to retreat and rest for a day so lose time, but there is limited time for each case. Thinking Persona meets Sifu as love that idea for the combat won't lie
The thing is there are multiple games that are designed for people who are blind to take inspiration from as well. Blind drive is a racing game where the screen is basically turned off and you are just going by audio cues. 2021's the Vale does focus on combat with again the screen basically being all black. Lost in Blindness is a puzzle adventure game again where you are meant to be able to progress without vision. And there is one other I can't seem to find that has you playing as a blind knight protecting a young girl who calls out things for you. I also tried to beat one of the few fights in Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice with my eyes closed because the audio in that game is just so good and engrossing with the voices in your head giving you warnings during combat. I didn't end up killing the enemy but the sound design gave me enough warning to survive pretty easily. I don't know much if anything about Daredevil (not a marvel fan in general). But I feel like he could offer a neat opportunity for some indie or AA studio to make a really unique experience for people. Maybe offer some sound vision thing like Metroid Prime 2 as visuals, but go so far in making the game audio-focused for combat that you could get by without it.
I wanted this even before watching this, daredevil and moon knight could have huge potential for video games, I wanna see a massive universe of street level super hero games made by insomniac that is my dream
It's interesting. I think with Insomniac's Spider-Man you get that Spider-Man feeling of freely webslinging through the city, with the Arkham series you feel like Batman perfectly with the mix of stealth and gadgets. I think it would be hard to "simulate Daredevil". Maybe like a Superhot style VR game, where you're using his advanced senses to combat rooms full of people.
A game with several different small hub worlds around New York would be cool to see, an area where he has different allies such as Foggy and Karen actually in Hell’s Kitchen, have Jessica be in Brooklyn, Luke is obviously in Harlem etc I would also love to see the lawyer aspect of the character done justice in the game, like a mix of Ace Attorney and LA Noir where Matt knows someone is lying based on their heartbeat but you still need evidence against them in court The Hand would be a natural choice for antagonists to give plenty of thugs or goons to beat up but could also say there is a gang war going on still and there could even be different villains associated with each gang, maybe Bullseye is freelance so we keep bumping into him, and Kimgpin is still running things from inside prison so one set piece would have to be going in there once as Matt then returning as Daredevil Matt’s religiousness would be an interesting aspect to hone in on too but I’m not sure how best to implement that in gameplay beyond visiting or protecting churches, maybe an arc with the Punisher or Danny Rand, or depending how wild they want to go with it throw in some characters from Asgard or Wakanda to challenge Matt’s Christianity and beliefs when he encounters others with very different but clearly real gods
For the lawyer stuff in courtrooms I’d like it if it was done similar to the tell tale style where you choose what Matt says and how he acts. This influences how the case ends up and how the story goes
This is so stupid but I really want a gambling mini game. I remember reading an issue once where Matt was undercover in a casino, pretended to be able to see and playing a high stakes game. His enhanced senses mean he is excellent at reading other people’s cues: having a poker face isn’t going to hide a change in heartbeat, for example. The catch? He can’t see what is on his cards. So instead he enters this game relying solely on the reactions of everyone else in the table
Love for a Daredevil game to have a heavy parkour focus for his traversal. Even adding that into combat a bit would be cool, as to build up momentum to increase his damage, while also having it tie into his health and stamina, making him less flashy and strong as both meters go down
I'd love for the possible Daredevil game to be set in Hell's Kitchen but expanded upon deeply. In the Yakuza series, almost every game is set either only in Kamurocho or is mostly set there with other maps. Kamurocho itself isn't that big but feels so alive and lived in and has much to do that the size doesn't really matter. They could do the same for Hell's Kitchen and add a lot of verticality for some parkour and acroabtics.
i think it would be really cool if when you're preforming a beatdown on someone, instead of mashing the buttons to do the brutal repeated punches like most fighting games, instead you have to mash the buttons so you stop beating the criminal. this way the game can really highlight the difference between daredevil and spiderman, because when daredevils fighting he finds it hard to stop
I would love to see stealth sequences in a daredevil game… something like either the last of us stealth sequences and or batman arkham. daredevil’s radar sense could work similarly to the last of us’s listen mode
I'd like for the lawyer part to have all the evidence and stuff always there and then you can make an objection during the part of your opposing lawyer or use it during your own arguments or whatever. Also you would mostly choose options like in RPGs or like Quantic Dream games or smth.
I have an idea, what if instead of the insomniac game the graphics are more similar to that of archane or spider verse, the lawyer aspects wil allow Matt to fight thugs whenever the system has failed them and there should be a section where you play with Elektra or even switch with her
Someone I have grown to love a bunch from Daredevil’s Rogues Gallery is “The Hood”. Sadly, the mainstream media doesn’t really involve the more supernatural villains and that’s a shame. Someone that is a super cool and unique villain and also is someone that fills a Crime Boss role is Parker Robbins/The Hood. A low totem pole crime guy who killed a demon and stole his hood giving him all sorts of powers. Now I think Insomniac did technically already do The Hood in a tie-in comic, but that could easily be retconned or made not important.
Everyone is calling for Insomniac to make a DD game, but I’d argue that (while they’d certainly knock it out of the park) there is a better fit for the character, if you look back at their catalog of work… Sucker Punch. Otherwise, I agree about basically everything outlined here. Hell’s Kitchen may be small, but the best way to remedy what it lacks in overall size would be to give it added depth, through unparalleled detail and a multitude of interiors. Finding clues on missions to help with different cases as Matt Murdock (a la LA Noire) is honestly a brilliant idea.
I love it. Id prefer it be open world and not closed off to hells kitchen but thats the starting zone. Take his 4 senses and leveling branches in each. Maybe a focus bar that he has to rest to replenish ... when used it could access cool abilities within the senses. Maybe an alert system to anticipate enemy attacks, different martial arts masteries, then matt murdock mode where you use your senses to do lawyer stuff and it could be like dialoge options. It could be a great game
If this was open world, they should totally handle it like yakuza with a small portion of open world space that is immensely detailed and an abundance of side quests. You could also add rooftops and some of those traversal mechanics from that canceled game.
I feel like a mix of Sifu's combat and Uncharted's cinematic platforming and scripted sequences would make for a perfect Daredevil game. I'd prefer if the game were linear, but with levels large enough to explore. Ace Attorney has had some lie-detection sequences. You can also look at LA Noire for inspiration for interrogation and evidence-building.
it would never happen, but a Lego costume would be kind of hilarious. as for more realistic ones, i think one based on his appearance in the 90s Spider-Man animated series would be cool, even if it was just pretty close to the comic suit
bro fax i’ve been watching daredevil in other marvel games recently (which is what i’m doing now) and watching other people’s opinions and pitches on his game
I know they’d never go retro but a side scrolling beat ‘em up starring just street level heroes could be fun. Like with Defenders or Heroes for Hire types.
Dishonored could provide great inspo for a Daredevil game. Specifically in how they add depth to extremely small spaces. The problem with open world games isn't the abundance of them, but how samey they all are. I'd love a small but extremely dense open world in the vein of Dishonored; where there are tons of interiors and underground areas to explore, NPCs to talk to, side missions, and random encounters. I think that Matt Murdock segments could also be enhanced by a denser world and that part could take inspo from the Yakuza games. Make Open World games great again!

As long as the main conflict is Matt trying to stop Wilson Fisk from getting the McRib, I’ll be happy
@@CaptLumpycake amazing idea bro.
@@CaptLumpycake
That seems a bit too frustrating lol. Players would constantly be like "why the hell did I just fail?", so it would be better if it was more of a dialogue added during the story, like: "wow, for a blind guy, you uncovered the clues like you saw the crime happening".

@thejoaquindead9515 like the arkham city deadshot fight, but better and more fleshed out
An Antman game would also be awesome.

Checchetto is literally the best artist who’s ever worked on the character imo. I love everything about that design and how he draws Matt
@@troyoboyo17 I’m in full agreement with you. And if in this hypothetical game they made Elektra a playable character, her Daredevil suit is a must have. It feels like a perfect evolution for her character and for her and Matt’s relationship.

@@troyoboyo17 Please Do!
@@outstandingdogmarron2567
Punisher needs to be at least M-rated, to show explicit violence and language we get from games such as 'Mortal Kombat' and 'The Last Of Us'.
@@outstandingdogmarron2567
Definitely, I certainly count on the rating being done right.
Tbh, that grinding mechanic fits in perfectly with Daredevil and would be a great play style.
Being able to play in The Defenders' suit would be cool too. The one that Matt wears Jessica's scarf to cover his face.
The black and red suit that he wears in Spiderman's clone saga would be cool
A costume costumization option would be cool. You can go more armored but then you are slower and less quiet. And no armor you are faster but can take more damage
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY agree with you! Hells Kitchen and outside throughout NY. Spidey can cameo, amongst other heroes and villains. Different costumes and villains. A Daredevil game is my dream game.
ace attorney style courtroom segments where you can use evidence you collect in the free roam combat gameplay would be amazing
@@galactic85 fair
Not the entire game. But maybe like a rage mode where it turns into the infrared look.

I think we need fresh takes and perspectives
@@troyoboyo17 E.A is currently working on and Iron man game and the studios who made Dead Space remake is making it.
I think rage mechanics that fit into the superhero game formula like a combo meter that builds up or as you get hit then you have the ability to let the devil out and do high damage at maybe the cost of the inability to dodge or counter. Combat built around building rage heavy boxing or alternative high reflex combos could be really creative, fluid and fun
I've spent a long time thinking about this lol
I love the idea of these games being like the video game event to the interconnected marvel shows of the 90s
I think a interrogation mini-game could work using his enhanced senses to read a individual and pressure them into telling you the information.
7:58 daredevil 2099 and the daredevil from Peni Parker’s universe are a must have as well
Also I'd want the game to have a unique visual style.
I've been thinking for a while now that the best way to do a Daredevil game is have the whole game only ever seen through Matt's perspective. with a sort of cel shaded comic style that uses sound as it's "lighting engine" like he mentioned, similar to Perception 2017
no switching detective vision on and off, commit to making the whole game in "detective mode"
but using that comic cel shading style in a black, white and red color pallete to make it slick and stylish as opposed to the standard ugly blue filter arkham detective mode.
imagine the title screen of matt on a rooftop looking over a city illuminated only by sound, the noise of the streets glowing up from below shining off the buildings.
at any time you would have the option to press a button to generate a sonar ping by making a noise (snapping his fingers, tapping his sticks together or on a nearby object) but once illuminated by sound (either by you or ambient noise) the environment stays 'discovered' so you don't have to constantly generate noise, most of the time the world will be loud enough to automatically fill in the environment. during normal fights the scuffling of shoes and shouting of goons would light the scene but then later in the game the hand ninjas would become a more difficult enemy because you need to use different techniques to detect them, like looking for a dark spot where their soft sound absorbent robes are or the sound reflective surface of their weapons
imagine Matt and Foggy investigating a crime scene and you have to rely on foggy to fill in some gaps like the color of the walls, which get filled in on screen as he mentions them.
Kinda like this:
● ● ● ● ●
● ● ● ● ●
● ● ● ●
Swipe 👆➡️👆
It says: TEXT
And also when you play as DD, the environment would look like as if the world's on fire, like how Matt described it in the Netflix series.

"What do you want to see in a Daredevil game?" Nothing, that's like Daredevil's whole shtick.
Ain't even a minute in and this man's spitting just with the title
When playing both Spider-man games I really thought Daredevil would be next with all the references in the games about him. Or even Dr. Strange, although lesser easter eggs than DD. Was surprised when they announced that they're making a Wolvie game before the man without fear. Not complaining though, Wolvie game made by Insomniac still sounds cool as hell.
I think a Dr. Strange video game would be fantastic!! Also, it would give insomniac a chance to get more creative with the environment rather than still exploring New York again
For the costumes, one that would be really great is the Knullified version.
That'd be a pretty cool unlockable/alt costume. I'm really digging his current "King Daredevil" look with the hood, top mask, and beard.
@@Tuaron yeah that's one of my favourites for him. Like Troy, I dont like the yellow either. Red and black suits him the best.
Something like Assassin's Creed-style parkour would be fitting.
Heard
A game with several different small hub worlds around New York would be cool to see, an area where he has different allies such as Foggy and Karen actually in Hell’s Kitchen, have Jessica be in Brooklyn, Luke is obviously in Harlem etc
I would also love to see the lawyer aspect of the character done justice in the game, like a mix of Ace Attorney and LA Noir where Matt knows someone is lying based on their heartbeat but you still need evidence against them in court
The Hand would be a natural choice for antagonists to give plenty of thugs or goons to beat up but could also say there is a gang war going on still and there could even be different villains associated with each gang, maybe Bullseye is freelance so we keep bumping into him, and Kimgpin is still running things from inside prison so one set piece would have to be going in there once as Matt then returning as Daredevil
Matt’s religiousness would be an interesting aspect to hone in on too but I’m not sure how best to implement that in gameplay beyond visiting or protecting churches, maybe an arc with the Punisher or Danny Rand, or depending how wild they want to go with it throw in some characters from Asgard or Wakanda to challenge Matt’s Christianity and beliefs when he encounters others with very different but clearly real gods
The black and red suit from charles soules and design by ron garney is pretty cool. Like an upgraded shadowland suit
Love for a Daredevil game to have a heavy parkour focus for his traversal. Even adding that into combat a bit would be cool, as to build up momentum to increase his damage, while also having it tie into his health and stamina, making him less flashy and strong as both meters go down
Notification gang. daredevil needs a video game, movie, show with 1000 episodes, etc. need more daredevil...
Please make videos more often. I really love to listen to ur videos while drawing and you're actually my favorite youtuber rn!
i think it would be really cool if when you're preforming a beatdown on someone, instead of mashing the buttons to do the brutal repeated punches like most fighting games, instead you have to mash the buttons so you stop beating the criminal. this way the game can really highlight the difference between daredevil and spiderman, because when daredevils fighting he finds it hard to stop
So, like, make it Sifu during the Action, then make it Ace Attourney during lawyer stuff.
I have an idea, what if instead of the insomniac game the graphics are more similar to that of archane or spider verse, the lawyer aspects wil allow Matt to fight thugs whenever the system has failed them and there should be a section where you play with Elektra or even switch with her
3:51 have you played Arkham Batman?
Batman Arkham + sifu + Ace attorney= the perfect daredevil video game
YES WE DO!
With a cool slowmo sonar radar fight mechanic
I know they’d never go retro but a side scrolling beat ‘em up starring just street level heroes could be fun. Like with Defenders or Heroes for Hire types.
there could be a feature to cut power and lights. and also a stealth feature invloving making sound but revealing your locaton
My idea Daredevil game would be like SIFU, but with more Parkour-
I LITERALLY STOPPED TYPING AS I HEARD YOU SAY SIFU 😂😂
