Go check out Greydon Square - Metaphor Swordsman
That's what I love about hip-hop samples. It got me into listening to a lot of different soul, rock and niche music.
My uncle was one of the Voice actors who dubbed these movies in Hong Kong back in the day.
His name is Matthew Oram
That's as cool as it gets uncle-wise
Thank him for me as he was a big part of my childhood.
Aww Sweet!
awesome!
That's powerful he inspired a whole generation as kids in the 80's the most. I know the voices. Your uncle is an icon. Tell him thank you!!!
Im waiting for a RZA beat to start Up....lol
Hell yeah i'm in here humming them joints
Mos definite
Especially that Ol’ Dirty “Shimmy” track.
Good Morning Vietnaaaam
SAME XD
They don't make martial arts flicks like these anymore. Wu-tang forever
Of course , its corny af , you can still find decent kungfu flicks tho for present
with good reason
They were truly classics. Snake in the Monkey's shadow, Ninja on the Wall, Five Dealy Venoms, the Magnificent Butcher, The Iron Monkey and 36th Chamber of Shaolin to name a few.
@@walterwyte3546 modern kung fu movies have that awful wirework and flying around. The Shaw Brothers classics had real martial artists and Chinese circus performers, engaging plots with themes of rebellion and brotherhood, the best sets and costumes, and most importantly the dubbing.
@@shivasrinivasan80 8th diagram pole fighter(1983), Heroes from th east(1978), Legendary weapons of China (1982) , these should be mentioned as well.
Allow me to demonstrate the skill of Shaolin. The special technique of Shadowboxing...

Poisonous
fuck that. god damn, the gza!
8:57 "The very art that had raised them to such Olympian heights was lost"
Always loved hearing this skit in 'Duel of the Iron Mic' because it prophetically describes how the Clan became Gods in Hip Hop only to throw it all away with disorder and division.
It's kinda funny to see the actual movie scenes to the samples
Who else sang along with the sample 😂😂
ME!
King Heff Maaann every time I hear that, "Allow me to demonstrate the skill of Shaolin. The special technique of shadow boxing!", I just start blurtin out "POISONOUS PARAGRAPH!" lmao
Clan in da Front!! LOL!!
Raw imma give it to ya
Craia Craia With no trivia/ We're like cocaine straight from Bolivia
RZA influenced a whole generation to watch Kung Fu flicks! 👍👍
These actors knew actual martial arts. The crispness in their motions and the long takes is so much cleaner than action films today.
As a kid of the 90s who grew up on this rap, I'm eternally grateful for this compilation. So cool.
"En garde! I'll let you try my Wu-Tang style!"
BRING DA RUCKUS
I wanna give you another 👍🏿 but you already have 36

“They were only supposed to kill my father, but they didn’t. That was the night everything changed...” I fucking loved that intro to liquid swords gave me chills
This is really dope that you compiled this. I always find it interesting to run across samples and stuff in hip-hop songs. It's like learning something that barely anyone knows or will ever discover. Like learning a secret technique or shaolin fighting style.
TIGER STYLE LOL
Dude water style is where its at.
The sky is high.
The clouds are low.
😂
Tiger style had no effect against the dickless style.
He moved the nuts
Retard
This is why I love Wu Tang, they drag all their inspiration from these films.
I just think it's amazing that some guys chilling together down in Staten Island were watching these old martial arts films translated to English then they used it as inspiration and translated it to hip hop bringing it to the entire world.
"Master he must be dreaming, and if he's dreaming then he must be asleep, and if he's asleep...then I will wake him up WHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
One of the best movies of all time: the 5 deadly venoms

RZA ia a FUCKIN GENIUS he literally transformed and transitioned simple and most of times out of context dealogues into some of the grimiest beats ever heard.

Automatically nod my head and start rapping after every one of these.
I did the same bro
Bring Kung Fu Theater back!!! That was AWESOME!! I used to watch all these movies when I was growing up. They were on every Saturday
It's the same three guys doing all the voices. Young good guy, older bad guy, really old master.

Lmfao when I listened to the song I tought it was a real horse
This gives me chills it's so awesome. haha
"Toad style..is immensely strong, and immune to any weapon."
Gotta Love Rza For this " You Must Think First Before You Move"
"The WU is the way, the TANG is the slang." This quote from the RZA solidified the meaning for naming a group of 10 NY MCs as the WU TANG CLAN.
It had made sense to them since martial art culture was already a part of their childhood entertainment. Compare this concept to that of Griselda and their use of pro wrestling snippets.
Having snippets of martial art films strategically placed within tracks served to purposely amplify the group's Message......
PEACE
Had the absolute pleasure of seeing RZA live-score The 36th Chamber of Shaolin yesterday and now I’m curious to see more.
"Ol Dirty, you crazy, I'm crazy bout your music! Ol Dirty, you nutcase, you fucking nutcase."
The 🥜 grab and the look of surprise 😂😂😂
Do you think your Wu-Tang sword can defeat me?
En garde, I'll let you try my Wu-Tang style.
Kerr Fletcher bring da motherfuckin ruckus
On guard
"Wu-Tang's invincible. Ya'll better understand the principle." -RZA
Poisonous darts.Love that one.
8:44 he literally clear his lungs from all Fluids!!
This the best thing I ever seen on UA-cam Wutang Forever!!
So Quentin Tarantino was inspired by Executioners from Shaolin when he made Kill Bill. He recreated that scene it when Beatrix first fights Pai Mei, interesting
WOAH! I just recognized the actor from 9:27! That's John Liu, now made famous from the bizarre restoration of New York Ninja!
I swear these movies was the best for Us NYC 70's kids, kept most of Us in shape. After Saturday morning cartoons and six bowls of Capt. Krunch cereal or corn Flakes with lots of sugar at bottom of bowl undissolved, We became the Kung Fu Masters. Breaking shit in the house of Our Parents & Grand parents. Getting Our asses beat by Kung Fu karate Chop Mom's, Aunties or GrandMa's. Blaming each other for who broke what.
Daaamn I got tears of nostalgic laughter right now.
Word. The streets was empty on Saturday at 3pm
For anyone who's curious, the voice actor at 6:17 has been identified. It's Chris Hilton, a (former?) Hong Kong TV presenter.
Where did you find this information? I would love to learn and find information on the dubbed voices.
Mostly by finding clips from the English Radio Television Hong Kong station from the 70s and 80s (where a lot of them were or still are announcers) and talking to the few dubbers who've come out of the woodwork themselves. They were mostly British expats.
I bet when he was recording it he had no idea that even 50 years later people would still be hearing his voice recording used in popular hip hop music everyday.
I’m asian and i swear black people have watched more of these movies than me😂😂 but I’ve seen a lot of these actors in other movies lol.
TIGER STYLE
Tiger Style!
*"Raw i'm a give it to ya, with no trivia. Like cocaïne straight from Bolivia"*
Dude, you have to do more of these. Keep going!! So many good movies the Wu sampled!
The General quote from Meth vs Chef in The Mystery of Chess Boxing was the one that grabbed my attention. I am reading the Kingdom manga right now so it is appropriate.
Thankyou so much for this. I’m sitting with my code decipher sending it towards some bottles (literally bottles, drank some adult beverages)and was listening to WU and was like, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen that movie,” when I heard it.
It's a shame that sampling has become a lost art. There aren't many hip-hop songs that use sampling anymore.
7:09
I heard them on mixtapes all the time.
Marshall Street the claim is it's too expensive to sample now.
my bro i made a wu tang type beat i love old school
Marshall Street listen to logic Wutang forever thank me later 💕
Dooope! Not many people put this type of thought into their music nowadays.
i do!
It all depends on who you listen to
The RZA was one and only. Come up with your own style and dont be a clone!
You know what i want to hear right? I want to hear that wutang... Wutang again? Again and again!!!
Gotta thank WU TANG for taking back to 1988,with the Crates,Beats and Rhymes..Salute to the Godz!!!

I appreciate Foley Artists because of films like these
Bloodyhell..I never new Jackie Chan was in Snakes and Crane !!
I honestly only seen bits an pieces of these but it’s time to binge these
ten tigers was a star studded movie..with awesome quotes as well. The best is from Cilvaringz song Wong Masters " your reputation in kung fu is well known..."
THIS IS GOLDEN!!!
I remeber as a little kid in the early= mid 90s, my cousin would take me to this little movie store which had bootleg kung fu movies, the quality was shit but man I loved em.
8:57 that Ennio Morricone music
The Dragon the Hero / Dragon on Fire also includes the sample of "I see you're using an old style. I was wondering where you'd learned it from" "You know very well, it's yours too. Now fight me!"
It's 2017 I'm now in my 30s man I was a kido when I first heard WuTang.. Still listening to this day. Why am I waiting for RZAs beat to start with these samples tho? Lol!
ive seen a lot of videos on you tube that try to put all the samples in order...this is EASILY the best one.
This video reminds me that I really need to hear Tical.
