On June 16th, 2017 Igorrr - the brainchild of French musician and eclectic composer Gautier Serre - will release their new album, Savage Sinusoid, via Metal Blade Records. On this record, electronic manipulations, accordion, saxophone, sitar, harpsichord, mandolin and strings sit comfortably alongside ruthless blastbeats, chunky riffs, death grunts and soaring operatic vocals - and as chaotic as this might sometimes seem, there is no lack of heart behind everything thundering from the speakers. For a preview of Savage Sinusoid, a video for the first single, "ieuD", can be viewed at: metalblade.com/igorrr - where the album can be pre-ordered in the following formats:
    --Digipak CD
--pale skin clear vinyl (limited to 500 copies)
--cream/white splatter (limited to 200 copies - EU exclusive)
--golden yellow vinyl (limited to 100 copies - Bandcamp exclusive)
--tan-marbled vinyl (limited to 200 copies - US exclusive)

there is no such thing as electronic manipulations, accordion, saxophone, sitar, harpsichord, mandolin, strings, ruthless blastbeats, chunky riffs, death grunt etc. there is good music (like this) and then there is the rest of the music.

The opera like parts give me the impression of a savage tribe, who are the last surviving group of humans after an apocalypse mourning their people and their earth, singing a song in their forgotten dialect to express their grief, touching and kissing the dead gray trees and crying after collapsing on the mud and nuclear winter's snow. Brutal.

The new album will be the 5th one in his discography, 2 demo albums, (Moissure and Poisson Solluble), 3 albums - Nostril, Halleluja and new one, Savage Sinusoid). But, he also has side projects, Corpo-Mente (baroque tripop), Whourkr (extreme grindcore with electronica, just brutal!), EP with Bong-Ra, EP with Ruby My dear called Maigre (incredible album, check it out!). The female singer (Laure Le Prunenec) has a couple of projects (Riciin, etc) and male singer (Laurent Lunoir) has too (Oxxo XooX). You can also find several remixes and small collaborations in youtube. So, if you want, you have a lot to explore :D enjoy

I started listening to Igorrr when I was introduced to his song "Brutal Swing" through a YTP video (I need to stop using those as a source of music) and I looked up some more songs of his. The first time I listened to it I was like "THIS IS HELL IN AUDIO FORMAT" and I dug in. Yeah first timers will be freaked out by the menacing-ish nature of his works. Trust me, listen to his album "Hallelujah" if you're new. You'll LOVE IT! Can't wait for the new album.

Something about igorrr... It's emotional af and still I can run it in the background when learning stuff what request highly focused attention. Very few kind of music with I can do that and except igorrr only classical and minimal chill techno or goa. Something very special about he's music.
