I think In Flames are the best gateway band that get many new people into metal who don't usually like heavy music. One of the most listenable bands on the planet.

People seem to group In Flames' catalogue into eras: Melodeath era (90s) Mid era (00s) Post-Jesper era (10s) It seems we've made it to the new era - The Chris Broderick era (20s). This band is in their 4th decade, with many member changes, and still puts out some of the best metal music, and remain on top of the game. This album seems like it may be the best In Flames album in a long time. Can't wait to see what journey this takes us on

I've been a In Flames fan for 22 years and seen them with Devil Driver and Trivium about 18 years ago with my newly married wife one of the best concerts I've been to. Its time to take my 14 year old son now. I actually teared up hearing this in private of course. As Metal Pilgrim said below the band I fell in love with is showing they are the best at what they do in my opinion.
I saw them with Trivium in early 2012 and that was a banger of a show and I remember that night everyone was chanting for My Sweet Shadow but they didn't play it which was a bummer but fast forward to this passed September, I saw them again at the same venue with Fit For An Autopsy (which also slapped) and their closing song was My Sweet Shadow
You're on crack... Nothing they do in the future will compare to Jester, whoracle, colony or clayman... Everyone of those albums is better than whats being put out currently even though Forgone seems lite it will be far better than the last few efforts.... also this song isn't a banger, the last couple were though.

I felt I’d never get to return to the way I felt when I heard In Flames for the first time. This one just hit different, like that itch that just couldn’t quite be reached has finally been scratched. Having the feel of ecstasy return to me after so long and for it to come from my favorite band makes it that much more enjoyable. Love the sound and look forward to enjoying this for years to come.

After years as a fan I had the priviledge to see this guys live in Wiesbaden Germany for the first time! They do kick ass! Andreas is very talktive which I liked and was making fun of Chris Broderick all the time, super funny! There was also a very friendly and good energy from them, they were also super cool and respectful with the securities dudes. I'll never forget that day!
It's great to hear In Flames return to the sound that put them on the map. Haven't had this much interest in an In Flames album since the early days up to Colony.

After years as a fan I had the priviledge to see this guys live in Wiesbaden Germany for the first time!
They do kick ass! Andreas is very talktive which I liked and was making fun of Chris Broderick all the time, super funny!
There was also a very friendly and good energy from them, they were also super cool and respectful with the securities dudes. I'll never forget that day!
