I don't think the chorus is that good. Everything else is really good though.

Chris Broderick is a game-changer. He makes any band better. I saw him in Jag Panzer opening for In Flames and Iced Earth in Indianapolis 20+ years ago. Little did I know, he'd be in In Flames now. Also, can't forget Nevermore and Megadeth.

Totally agree. Last album i enjoyed was mirrors truth...after that they lost me, but damn this new shit is so good....its got my attention again, its so great to hear this, in flames was up there in my favorites, they keep this shit up, it may happen that way again

It seems we've made it to the new era - The Chris Broderick era (20s). This band is in their 4th decade, with many member changes, and still puts out some of the best metal music, and remain on top of the game. This album seems like it may be the best In Flames album in a long time. Can't wait to see what journey this takes us on

@@Sovspot that comes down to taste, but while I enjoy their albums from 96 to 2004 the most, everything Soundtrack to Your Escape and after has charted in the US, with Siren Charms charting the best. Even if the quality dipped a bit, the albums have all preformed very well commercially

Reminds me a lot of Leeches which is my favorite song of all time of theirs. I have been to over 20 of their concerts. Here for every album, all of their evolutions. Well, as a heavy In Flames Fan, who amongst many others rode the "In Flames became too soft and too pop like" wave after *insert album here* pretty heavy, I am super happy that the Foregone Album is nothing but awesome. Hard an Heavy, but also full of melodic parts that sound classic In Flames like

I'm a huge fan of the first 3-4 albums, and each release from this new album so far has reminded me why I loved them so much.
This one is great, and in a very positive way, it reminds me of a specific older song, but I can't remember which one for the life of me.

i love it when a band that marked my teen years grew up healthy and kicking harder! will always have you on my playlist till i die.
I felt I’d never get to return to the way I felt when I heard In Flames for the first time. This one just hit different, like that itch that just couldn’t quite be reached has finally been scratched. Having the feel of ecstasy return to me after so long and for it to come from my favorite band makes it that much more enjoyable. Love the sound and look forward to enjoying this for years to come.

In flames has been my favorite band for 15 years... HOW, with several new/changing members, 20+ years of new fads and trends, how do they continue to make such awesome music?!?!?! Cuz they are the GOATs!!!! That's how.
I've been a In Flames fan for 22 years and seen them with Devil Driver and Trivium about 18 years ago with my newly married wife one of the best concerts I've been to. Its time to take my 14 year old son now. I actually teared up hearing this in private of course. As Metal Pilgrim said below the band I fell in love with is showing they are the best at what they do in my opinion.
I saw them with Trivium in early 2012 and that was a banger of a show and I remember that night everyone was chanting for My Sweet Shadow but they didn't play it which was a bummer but fast forward to this passed September, I saw them again at the same venue with Fit For An Autopsy (which also slapped) and their closing song was My Sweet Shadow
Ozzfest! That was a hell of a tour.
This can be they best album so far, no joke. 5 singles, and all of them are total bangers.
Didn't think my favorite In Flames album would ever change but here we are... it might just happen :D
While I didn't mind "I, The Mask", this album is setting itself up to be an early frontrunner for best comeback album of 2023.

For me, this is In Flames when they're at their peak. Come Clarity is my favorite album and this sound reminds me of the earlier years. Thank you, In Flames, for all your music and joy throughout the years. Hope there's a lot more to come!

The 4 first singles on this albums had me thinking "are they back to what I grow up with? the only band i really listned to for my entire teenage youth". And this fuckin confirmes it.

They always experiment within the their melodic death metal roots. There is simply no one to totch them. They never deal in cliches and keep moving forward.
@@matthewburrows4359 Sorry to be a downer, but there is nothing experimental about putting a sing-along-chorus in about every metal song. Of course that is a cliche, but like half the time it does work for them. There is a reason that every time when a new album drops, some fans of the old style come back and wish for something more substantial.
New album is the best they did since a long time, even though it still has a few meh songs on it. I'm not even against ballads or clean singing. It's just their go-to method of songwriting that got stale too often. On Forgone it is a bit more diverse with some of the songs and that makes a difference. Let's not act like there is no difference within all their discography. If you're a fan of all of it, more power to you ;-)
