- Day Two.
Al, it turns out that yes, the outfit belonged to Waz from the BMW K100 forum originally. The bike came from Rockman, another member.
I pulled off the steering damper, which originally came from a VW Kombi.
I took onboard what Michael said about the bike and chair separating etc and decided to try and film it by mounting my gopro on the street and doing a ride by or two... this proved to be useless, except for the fact that I learned if I feel lazy I can just ride the bike around the block a few times and Tilly will get her exercise chasing me... haha.
The braking has improved markedly with the removal of the steering damper...it now brakes in a straight line.
Next time I get time, I will look at set-up.
As James suggested, tyres might be worth looking at too. - Фільми й анімація
Hi Tilly❤
Needs more cowbell I mean toe in😮
Oh, I hope listening to our advice doesn't kill you....and it appears the dog loves you...she'll come around. And yeah, that is a car part...
Well, no tank slapper... Oddly, I just installed a damper on my Triumph, a wee little one, but it has standard front end and such. Fixed my head shake problems, mostly. Front end feeling light is kinda the point of the leading link.... Damper was part of the problem at least. Set up and front tire (with a squarer profile one) would be next for me. I am going to put a Block K sidecar tire on the front of my Triumph, mainly because it will fit the rim and my problems should go away. If you can get a car tire on the front rim, might be a revelation. And yes, levels of horrible handling with a sidecar makes total sense to any sidecar pilot! Right ladies and gentlemen?
It's a Volkswagen steering damper I had one on my HRD two stiff
Love little house it's looking great
About another year's work to do on it!
@@saxonost7 my place has a constant repair of white ant damage
@@michaeloneill5961 Ah ok. This place isn't too bad. Old hardwood and colour bond seem to work well.
What could possibly go wrong or a little bit of headshake won't kill you😅
Yep... as long as it doesn't get out of hand!
Curious if you know what sort of trail reduction the leading link is giving you.....too much can give a very light feeling when driving the rig. Also what your toe in is......no toe in would cause the set up to wander a bit.
That's my next job. Might not get time today. No idea what the trail is on this one.
