It is, because later they hire a ship and jack complains about the price saying “we could buy our own ship for that” and the captain “who’s going to pilot it?”
I thought that was the ghost girl and that 1 episode of Jack in The Haunted house or was it called Jack versus The Haunted house I cannot recall but the shadow figure is almost a spitting image of that ghost girl that led them to The Haunted house
1. The Batman comparisons are a bit of a stretch. They sound close to the same but that doesn't mean they're a direct reference. 2. Wearing leaf-cloths doesn't mean it's a reference to Tinkerbell. 3. You're just grasping with Brak.
Also, I don't think the ghost samurai was supposed to be a reference to one particular samurai from history. The character designers probably searched up samurai armor and went with the most striking helmet they could find.
slightly salty that Jack never taught the Sa-moo-rai real Samuri teachings. i mean he probably didn't have time for that, but pointing him in the right direction or giving the basics could have been a big step.
@@ahmedaliyu1495 Ashi was hidden behind everyone else, she was right up next to the bar and is much smaller than everyone else. If Demongo had actually seen her, I have no doubt there would have been a fight.
Yes, and when Ashi jumps on the rocks to cross the river @4:39, it is an homage to Tropic Thunder, particularly, the scene where they hold a comical argument in the river.
Forgot which episode, but the guardian's glasses made a cameo shortly after jack regained his balance. This hints that he got clapped. My theory is that he was put into an ultimatum: either flee and let aku's minions destroy the time portal that was sooo hidden for over 50 years, join aku himself in pursuit of jack, or fight to the death against an infinite wave of aku's best. Guardian is strong, but even the strongest men tire. Eventually he bit the dust choosing to die with honor.
I really loved this episode. Compared to all the grimness of the first 3 episodes, this really showcased how much good he did in the world that even if he hadn't defeated Aku yet, he had done tremendous deeds.
2:30-2:31 Look, you guys seem like reasonable people, so can we just talk, we're looking for Samurai Jack, we want to help him, he might be hurt, can you help us?
One of the things that really brought down S5 was the empty cameos. Never really served much of a purpose beyond cheap nostalgia manipulation. Thought Genndy was better than that.
I would have loved to see the samoorai being an actual warrior trained by Jack
Agree, it's kinda sad he ended up like that. He looked really interested in becoming a real warrior in the end of his episode...
@@yurishakalov6213 Sadly Jack had bigger fish to fry... that wouldn't end up being fried for 50 years, plus a trip to the past
honestly a lot of what we got ended up being extremely disappointing. Especially the ending
Did you guys play the game? He's the store owner selling upgrades and in theory helps more during the final fight (not on screen but it's implied).
@@therestinghornet6906 🤓
Impresive that Jack's dance became popular in clubs.
It took about Fifty Years.
@@walterpetersen776 No, it was still popular after fifty years.
The wretched hive of scum and villainy line sounds like a homage to star wars
but the crab cakes arnt bad either

Nice, didn't catch that one
.
Brak, really? I thought it was a little Imakandi child... but only Gendy knows, perhaps the Imakandi race is a reference to Brak.

Yeh
I mean they do look an awful alike

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking this
It has a question mark for Brak because they aren't completely sure
Imagine if there were one where you see all the warriors who were trapped by Demongo, all now free and working as mercenaries to protect people.
“We got some straight-up freaks coming through this place” 😂😂

I didn't realize Ashi posed like Tinkerbell.

i mean he probably didn't have time for that, but pointing him in the right direction or giving the basics could have been a big step.
Knowing Jack, he most likely did tell him. But since it's hard and deadly journey to go through, he refused and chose peaceful life.
Jack did tell him a couple of fortune cookie stuff
I still like to picture how it'd be if he was Jack's sidekick for the rest of the season instead of Ashi.
I find it funny how Demongo now says collecting the SOULS of the greatest warriors not essence proving he truly is a soul eater lol
You already know how savage Demongu is when he sees no warriors to enslave at a bar.
Oooff That Includes Ashi
@@ahmedaliyu1495 Ashi was hidden behind everyone else, she was right up next to the bar and is much smaller than everyone else. If Demongo had actually seen her, I have no doubt there would have been a fight.
I actually took that as he was too afraid haha
I miss this show.
I read that as cameos and hostages

4:24 hehe thats Mandy
Who's the Mandy? I even not in the series, I didn't even find it in the wiki
Dude forgot the portal and it’s guardian, you know, the one that kick samurai jacks butt from there to Sunday
Yeah...and most likely got killed by Aku...that guy was awesome.

Wasn't the guardian himself a Morpheus reference?
I thought the last one was just a death god(shinigami)
I thought number 14 was the Imakandi daughter or somethin....not who ever the hell Brak is....the eyes don't match neither color nor angle
No love for the superfly poster reference
Would have loved to see one of those bounty hunters talk to Ashi and just spend the whole conversation talking crap about Jack
*poor demongo*

woah...I did not know these
Accidentally teaches the kid marshal arts, now no one messes with ravers…
Except for Aku. People need to stop thinking learning some martial arts tricks makes you untouchable.
I'm shocked Demongo survived. I'd assumed that Aku had killed him for his failures. Funny cameo tho
2:30-2:31 Look, you guys seem like reasonable people, so can we just talk, we're looking for Samurai Jack, we want to help him, he might be hurt, can you help us?
What about the portal guards glasses
My same thought: he was the strongest antagonist (not villain) that Jack ever faced. He was even able to defeat the hero of the series!
3:06 anyone has noticed that Da Sam-Moo-Rhai walking is similar a Dr.Livsey Walking?
XD bro's built like him!
Spike, Big Dog And Astro (2:26)
You forgot wolf and cub reference
I wish the guardian Appeared in a flashback
holy shit genndy with the batman references
Him
Him him
Jacks rave outfit lolol
I thought the same thing with number7
spike yes
Did they really pay homage to Batman?
Is Kevin Micheal Richardson as Demongo?
Well, much like the same way to
Arnold stang as Top Cat.
I can t not tell that him or not?
I feel like some of these Easter eggs are reaching
That music 3:42 what is it from?
Demongo is my favorite part
Just got to the Ravers and I saw what Jack wear. Was that a Cat in the Hat Hat?
1:02 whhooooooaaat?
Evil him
My opinions are mixed on the new season as a whole, but this part is really cool.
