People will complain about a budget video not promoting organic. I don’t get the luxury of buying organic all the time. Sometimes (but very rarely) I luck out a d can get some organic frozen berries for my son. But most of the time I’m working on $75-$100 a week for groceries for my family of 3. And our “luxury” is we eat whole foods or minimally processed (sometimes processed depending on budget but we try hard not to) foods. So we can’t really eat organic on top. I appreciate this video. People will complain about organic but let’s be honest, you promote it 98% of the time. One video that’s budget friendly won’t kill people and will actually be beneficial for those who are working with a budget but want to learn how to eat healthier!

Organic produce is relatively cheap to grow. If planting a garden is something you may be interested in, go on some seed sites and do price comparisons to see if it'd be viable for you to just plant an organic garden vs buying from the store. Things like strawberries and blueberries are super cheap to grow.

Today, I went to the same steakhouse I’ve been taking my family to for the last 10 years. Normally, a small salad was included with the meal, but starting today, it wasn’t-so we ended up paying an extra $30. The steaks were lower quality and came in smaller portions. It’s frustrating to see what’s happening to businesses across America. If politicians like Kamala Harris start implementing higher taxes on restaurants, as she's proposing in her policies, more businesses might be forced to close. This could push us toward an economy where only the elites thrive, while the rest struggle, it’s called socialism. This is why I’m voting for Trump-he stands for protecting small businesses and keeping the American dream alive!

I've been doing alright spending about $350 for three people a month by buying in bulk, if the price makes sense, from Costco and rationing that into actually healthy portions for my family, then freezing what we aren't immediately eating. Over the course of the last few months, it's actually worked and allowed us to have wider food options. It's also helped me SERIOUSLY cut down on food waste

Others have mentioned buying bulk at Costco, I second that emotion along with Smoky Robinson, and I highly recommend a vacuum sealer. I've kept vacuum sealed cheese for over a year, and it's been perfectly fine! In fact, I bought two, 2.5lb packages of mild cheddar at Costco for $4.99 each (on sale, couldn't pass up) then separated them into vacuum sealed packages of about 10 slices each. It lasted us for months and months.

The US currently has the lowest inflation in the world at 3%. Companies have been found guilty in court with emails from high ups at companies using the pandemic as an excuse to raise costs. The only side that’s trying to actually fight companies from doing this is the left. They even tried to pass a bill last year addressing it and who shot it down? Guess. Republicans. Because they knew it would look good for Dems in upcoming election. So yes we need house, Congress, all of it blue then price gouging bill has a shot. Trump has gone on record saying he wants no laws passed on price gouging.

Many people on UA-cam say that bone broth is bad for you because it pulls out heavy metals from the bones, is that true? Maybe you can make a video on that topic, thanks Bobby! By the way “Bobby Approved “ is a common term in our family but it confuses friends that may be around us while we are talking about food, lol!

Buy the thighs with bone and skin for $1.00+ less per pound than the boneless thighs. The ones we buy only have one small bone in each of them.

Good video, Bobby! One thing not mentioned about chicken thighs is that thighs have 3 to 4 times the good for ya Omega-3 fatty acids than breasts, which are very high in the Omega 6 fatty-acids that many people eat way too much of.
IMO, the only thing the breasts are good for is the skin...I get just skins at my local grocery then season them up and get 'em really crispy in the air-fryer!!! Delicious!!!

I look at meat that has been discounted all the time and you can clearly see the color, on beef for example, has browned, changed from red. Are you not concerned about that change in color for meat? I definitely wouldn't wait 2 days to cook such meat currently.

It's so annoying that grocery stores don't keep paper towels readily available near the meat counters. I can't tell you how many times I have gotten gross meat juices from shopping fresh meat! A few weeks ago, I literally grabbed a single roll of paper towels that was a few steps from the meat area, opened them to wipe off my hands and left them by the meat counter to maybe send a message!!

@BobbyParrish, I usually find pork to be the most economical protein to purchase. I usually buy pork tenderloin, but I'll also buy the half loin and occasionally a shoulder roast. You didn't include pork in this video, so is there something I should be aware of as far as your feelings about pork? I'm relatively new to your channel, so I apologize if I should already know how you feel about pork.

I’ve been burned by Walmart meat more times than I can count. Meat that isn’t near expiration is gray or even green. Prices aren’t that great. I would rather buy from Aldi. Cheaper and way better quality. I even found their frozen 1/4 burger patties to be a dollar cheaper than Walmart and they are actually red meat and smell like raw meat before cooking. I found that odd with the Walmart brand burgers. They were a very pale pink and didn’t smell like much of anything. When I cooked the meat. It oozed a pink ooze out of holes in the patty. My guess is that it’s the pink slime that is injected into the meat. There’s so much gunk to clean out of my pan afterwards. Aldi burgers have almost nothing left behind comparatively.
