The Brownlee’s are two of the best athletes this country has ever been lucky enough to represent us. They are an inspiration to our young athletes and old alike. Machines but with a bloke next door persona. I think they are great!!🥇
@@thomasmedia1062 also a question of volume. If you barely train at all, you can afford to go balls to the wall all the time, and probably should. From the moment you increase volume, you do need a lot more low intensity.
As he says in the video, he’s doing 5-6 hard sessions a week. That’s probably the same number of sessions an average bro does total so it makes sense the rest of his training is very low intensity.
I've done a few for fun thanks to the Brownlees and I love it, it's the transitions. Get on the bike soaking wet and feel my lungs working harder then ever, get off the bike and have jelly legs!
Jonny is Inspirational !!! ua-cam.com/video/cNgwJpYC-rE/v-deo.html. #sweatwithjeanette I followed Jeanette with her 2021 NYC Triathlon training - inspirational.... Thanks for watching
Good to know that pros also carry toilet paper on runs in case they get ´caught out’. I thought that was only something that happens to me as an enthusiastic but slow triathlete. I feel much better now ;-)
Great insight into Jonny's life. An Observation: For those struggling to understand everything Jonny is saying, it's not so much his accent but the fact he doesn't really enunciate each word. One word kinda rolls into the next without much space. I find it quite fascinating. I've never struggled with the Yorkshire accent so I don't think that's the issue.
I Began to follow the brothers after reading the book "Sail Ride Run". rooted for Johnny at the 2021 Olympic triathlon, but alas, the sensation did not happen!
Can someone please make subtitles for this video? XD I really tried, but I can't understand what he's saying. I've listened to Indians speaking English with a heavy accent, but this is just impossible. The automatically generated subs don't cut it either.
to simulate race experience - triathletes will always want to 'swim on the heels' of someone to get advantage of bubbles. also probably for pacing. and for company!
"My name's Jonny, training, I love triathlon, preparation, Ive won some medals, world cup, "can I have a chip?" My dogs , I have two, I love triathlon." That's pretty much...yeah. Lol. I love the Brownlees.
I prefer running more simpler pure sport I couldn't be arsed dealing with all those bikes and the tools/gear. Also less carbs for longer distance? Kenensia Bekele the greatest long distance athletes said on his instagram in a QnA video he eats a high carb meal after every workout. Kipchoge lives off rice.
He's a world class triathlete, you would like him to also be an astro physicist and stand up comedian? Being the best at anything means major sacrifices, you cannot have it all and be all.

but they cant go fast in the other distanz in triathlon
He seems like such a lovely and down to earth guy!
that's cos he's from Yorkshire, everyone's pretty much like this :)
he must be, also such a living legend so as his brother, inspired me a lot in my life. THX

“A nice easy day” a 5k swim 13k run and cycling for 4 hours. What a machine
That's a lie tho
@@Bailey12300 yeah it’s just for the video. The same applies when they say they have a healthy salad for lunch - lies
I love the fact that a world class guy does his easy running and cycling miles slower than an average bro. There is a lesson to learn for us
Club runners spend around 65% of the time pushing hard in training while elites do 10%. That's definitely a lesson.
Go easy most of the time so you can go really hard, but easier said than done..

Thank you so much! What an athlete
Insane training day! How that is easy is beyond me!

Thank you.
Love this video, Jonny comes across so natural and relaxed. Thanks for making this guys

When you think that Jonny's accent is more difficult to understand than to actually do his training day :D
Top video. Obviously the best Brownlee 👍
Alistair has two gold medals as individual
Much respect Jonny x

hope that tp finds it's way into a bin and doesnt get left on the side of the trails...
I can think of worse places to train! Well done on your Olympic Gold in Tokyo

Jonny Brownlee is going to be badly missed in short course Triathlon.

Just what I was thinking! are we sure he's a true Yorkshire man?

Sir Harry!
Same here 1st type in my life needing subtitle
I'm not from the UK. Why do people from Yorkshire keep mentioning where they are from. I can assure you it gets muddy in winter in most places.
I don't like open water swimming because I'm shit scared of dark deep water...
Who's with me?

It's not that hard to do what you do Brownlee with that much training. It's not hard. It's fucking harder to be an (dumb) amateur
