It is such a versatile light! I've been using the Lenno 256B solidly for about 9 months and it's the light that keeps on giving. Also, not sure how I feel about that comparison :-P
Definitely depends on the scenario but I use these no problem indoors, with a softbox attachment and shoot at my cameras native ISO, generally at f4 and these lights are more than enough. Don't expect to be battling windows with them though.
1600 lux at 1m distance is only 100 lux less than aputure F7's output at the same distance. Don't you think that you could probably find it a better solution to use F7 as a key light or attach two F7s and make a more powerful panel? Or is there a catch I missed? I'm working on my own travel kit and considering few options :)) would appreciate some help
What you get with the Lenno 256 is a larger source and you can add a softbox to it. I use mine now with the Kamerar D Fuse and even though the D Fuse is slightly too big, it works wonders to soften the light. Theres the dual battery option as opposed to the single and actually something I didnt notice with the F7 when I made a video about that, is that 5600 kelvin has a magenta shift and does until about 6000 kelvin. At 5600 Kelvin on the Lenno and 6500 kelvin on the F7, they match perfectly and its that set up i use for my travel kit. While the F7 is smaller, I use the Lenno's far far more on shoots.
I gotta get me one of those.
Looks great!
Your voice reminds me a bit of Nick Bertke “Pogo”

James Watts that’s great!
Well it’s not meant as an insult. lol
Is it enough for half body shot keylight without bumping the iso too much (like 800 max)?
