A secret interaction that I'm sure most players don't know about is if you wildshape into a spider, then you can interact with webs in a way only spiders can. In the shattered sanctum, the spider pit has vertical webs that can't be interacted with normally. But if you're a spider you can climb up and down them. Nothing game changing but certainly cool
Also, if you are fighting the goblins outside the grove at the start of the game, if you are a Druid, and use the spider form, you can spray webs below the gate, and Zevlor will jump down and start smiting goblins.
I don't know if this uncommon, but if you pass a perception check in the baldur's gate graveyard, you'll see a pipe sticking out of a dirtmound, then you can interact with the mound and free someone who's been buried alive

13:36 You can still get an inspiration at the lanceboard-scene if you don't have Astarion with you. All you need is Gale in your party and then tell Mol to make the move that Gale suggests. She'll win and Gale will be inspired.
5:20 You can recieve the Boon even if you took the egg, gave it to the lady and pickpocket it right away. You will have an option to give to the society in act 3 and even if you don't, Orpheus will be mad about stealing it (does nothing about it). The ending will mention Laezel having it though.
8:33 I found Nina on my playthrough! Had my Oathbreaker Lockadin Wyll take control of her brother since he has Undead Ward Aura for any other undead minions and a Necrotic Veil that refreshes every turn 😌👌
You can still get the beholder flask even if you leave the chest with the Zhent in Act 1 and don't want to kill Rugan. In Act 3, when you bring Minsc to face down Roah Moonglow in The Guild, if you side with the Guild and wipe out the Zhent there you'll find the chest on one of the dead Zhent.
My player's intuition triggered when I saw these tablets on the Nautiloid. Took them with me actually, especially the important-looking ones on history, shipbuilding, githyanki, etc. Larian studios really pay attention to detail. Even flavour items have gameplay value.
The Mindflayer guy in the underdark heavily telegraph's that he would take it in your conversation with him if you didn't get it the first time. Making it stand otu if you look at it on successive playthroughs. So I'm not sure why this is considered secret by anybody.
When meeting Raphael & Mol at Last Light Inn, if you bring Gale and Wyll, Gale provides dialog to Mol about beating Raphael and your character just has to agree with Gale - then both Gale and Wyll receive inspiration. Wyll also has a dialog trigger immediately afterwards. If you have Gale and Astarion, but do the dexterity option, they both reciece inspiration.
Some people don't even know how to read their native language. So not so far fetched to assume most don't care to learn the number system of a dead language. Not throwing shade on you. Self improvement is a virtue and the more you know the better you make yourself. Just saying you have too much faith in other people
I think there is just a generation gap where roman numerals aren't being taught in schools anymore. I actually had to learn it and pass a test on it when I was in school. But back then movies would say "Copyright MCMLXXXVIII" on the title screen instead of something obvious like 1988.
I am 100% so glad I came across this video because it made me realize that I accidentally used the Strongbox you're supposed to deliver as an item to cover a poison vent. Luckily I wasn't too far from were I left it and was able to retrieve it.

Another tip, u can steal the chest back from the zhents as soon as you hand it over to them to get the shop and keep the chest. if you sleep before trying to pickpocket the chest it will disappear.
Fun fact, you can get the iron flask by helping the guild in act 3. After you rescue Minsc you find out the zhent are trying to perfotm a coup on the guild.. if you help the guild, the zhent leader has the chest on her. When you loot it, the flask is still in there.
1:54 you can have both the Iron Flask and the Bow in act 1. You lock pick the chest, steal the flask but don’t get caught. Leave the chest with them. Then leave and do a long rest, they take the chest back and are being tortured but the lady still lets you have access to the good stuff without giving her the flask because she blames them but thanks you for helping them
Something similar happens on 2 more Checks in Act 1 1st with recalling the "Descent". You get an invisible advantage on the passive History Check And 2nd one is for recalling Goblin behaviour in the Dialogue with Volo in the Grove, not a guarantee, but it gives advantage on the passive Roll check.
I also totally missed Kadeinos. Another weird 'secret' interaction is on a Dark Urge playthrough you knock Alfira unconscious a white dragon bard Quil Grootslang appears instead with a lot of unique dialog
Fresh Kindle for the Fire was fun. I saved him, progressed the quest, spoke to him after speaking to the corpse, then burned him alive with a fire spell.
Also also on the Titanstring Bow, if you convince Rugan to let you have the shipment and then get to the hideout, you can convince the leader to let you work with them instead. Doesn't matter if the chest is open or not, you can avoid mentioning that detail pretty easily. All she asks is that you kill Rugan, and once you do, you get access to Brem's special inventory.
About caravan strongbox: I've found (by myself! So proud of that :D) that you can take the flask from the box without opening it. You have to put strongbox into container and when in trading screen you can open it without lockpicking. Even in dialogue when you can give up the box or the flask you've got both options and giving locked looted box you've got rewarded just like it'd be locked. (if you include it in your next video I'd love a shoutout, I love your videos man ❤)
in my current playthrough, I had a decent bonus to my roll, the advantage from reading the schematics, and I have a mod that uncaps inspiration. I had 22 inspiration at that point. I roll 23 times (the first time and then 22 inspiration), the only numbers I could roll to fail was 4 and below, I did not roll higher than a 3 on the base dice. for 23 rolls.
You can actually steal the ironflask and still be able to buy titanstring bow. All you have to do is save the zentharim from the gnolls and they take the blame for losing the shipment while you still get reward for saving them. Just don't get caught stealing iron flask. You have to lockpick the chest and steal flask and leaving chest there.
You can get both the titan string bow and the iron flask in Act 1 if you pass the deception check on Rugan and convince him that you are there to recovery the shipment. Loot the chest, then you to the Zhentarim hideout and talk to Zarys and accept to deliver the treasure to Balbur's gate. You will be able to buy the bow.
Funny enough, I always used the spellbook interface to learn new spells. I didn't know that you could right click scrolls individually in your inventory to learn them.
I actually didn't know about right-clicking to transcribe scrolls until I couldn't figure out how to transcribe Shovel's scroll. It's funny to hear you call my primary method for transcribing scrolls for the first half of the game "a secret." 😂
I knew there had to be a reason to read and/or keep those slates!! I haven’t gotten this far with any character though😂. I keep making new ones and trying everything out. I’ve made it to the under dark and have done about half of that quest line but not quite that far.
The "secrets" in this video are actually not hard to find or figure out. Did many people actually miss the Maglubiyet guy? Or fail to read the Illithid slate? Or not notice that you can learn spells using "learn more spells"? I know I didn't, even on my first (blind) run. Appreciated the rundown on where some of the inspiration points were, at least.
You can keep the chest and get the secret shop, by the way. You have to save the two people delivering the chest from the gnolls, and be all nice and friendly to them, but during the conversation, have another character sneak over and steal the chest. When you go to the hideout, one of them will be dead, another beaten (but alive), and you'll get access to the secret shop for at least going out of your way and saving them from the gnolls. You do not have to deliver or even bring up the chest, letting you have access to both without any skill checks.
You can get both the Iron Flask and the Titanstring Bow in Act 1 by convincing Rugan to give you the shipment, opening the shipment, and then killing Rugan at Zarys' request in the Zhentarim Hideout.
what you can also do to get the titanstring bow and the iron flask is sneak up and steal the flask, dont get caught. then leak the cave and approach the situation as usual. when you save the two guys they tell you about how they have to get the shipment back. then go to the zhent hideout. one guy will be dead and the other will be getting tortured. talking to the zarys but NOT giving her the flask will finish the quest and unlock brems inventory.
@@ssaberwolf On the character i did this on I also have Harold. That said bg3 wiki states its a reward for bringing the CHEST back not the contents inside so i believe you do still get it. But I may have pickpocketed it or something I am not sure.
when you save the heretic goblin from a cage, DO IT BEFORE convincing spiders to eat goblins, or don't befriend spiders, or befriend and kill them later, anyway, if the building will be empty and spiders alive, they'll immediately kill the goblin as he tries to escape. i did get the reward already, but i felt sorry for the dude, he had guts. (before they were spilled)
Note: As a wizard you can't learn Summon Cheeky Quasit (Shovel) with the learn new spells menu. You have to right-click that one while controlling a Wizard. OR, I think, summon her for the first time, then make the right dialogue choices to where she willingly becomes your familiar and you gain the option that way as well. Also, just saving Rugan and the other guy from the gnolls and not caring about their shipment will allow you access to the Zhentarim's special stock when you reach the hideout, as well as the password to get in easily.
You can do both. You have your party wizard learn Summon: Cheeky Quasit, then have that wizard summon Shovel, go through the dialogue outside the door, then go into the room and initiate the second conversation with the character that you want to learn the innate summon with. So you can have two characters with Summon: Cheeky Quasit, and two Shovel/Fork/Baskets.
As far I remember if you hoard runes from nautiloid in prologue you can use them in act 2 Illithids Colony hidden room where is Head talking and reading rune tiles :p
I got Ulma to join me, because I missed something that would of let Astarion ascend, I never got the option to let him. He didn't even throw a fit about it either.
Because in his heart of hearts he knows that "ascension" will only doom him to an eternity of being trapped within Cazador's goals, ambitions, and cyclical abuse. It isn't what he actually wants, he's just experiencing a lot of cognitive dissonance because centuries of trauma has made it impossible for him to recognize his own desires. He confuses Cazador's desires for his own when he's lusting after "ascension". Did you accidentally let one of the spawn in the ritual die during the Cazador fight? That makes it impossible for him to "ascend".
It would be so awesome if saving Omeluum gave you access to an additional allied force during the final battle. Like imagine spawning a bunch of Myconids for example and they would then help you fight the cult of the absolute and the netherbrain. We are getting the Steelwatcher ally from the Gondians in patch 7 (it is unavailable now due to a bug iirc) So maybe there's hope? (copium ik but that would be so cool)
While Ascended Astarion is way more awesome than the hunters, Alma and the hunters actually aren't terrible as far as allies go. They aren't power houses, but they are surprisingly good at dealing a weirdly large amount of damage...I used them during the fight on the brain and they did most of the work on the red dragon XD.
0:00 Oh so it is useful? I was disappointed on my second run when I brought it with me and I wasn’t able to pass the check for free by just giving him the rune. Didn’t realize it gave me advantage on the check
It's a shame the Ring of Mind Shielding is basically worthless. I heard it had some secret cutscene or dialogue option if you're wearing it towards the end of the game, so I made sure I was, but nothing happened any different to my other play throughs.
TL:DR it was significant with an earlier version of your dream visitor, look up "Daisy". IIRC It's related to an earlier version of the dream visitor. The original dream visitor ("Daisy") was a projection from your tadpole that would try to seduce you into staying with it in the dream forever while your physical body transformed into a mind flayer. You got illithid powers by... engaging with them and risking getting corrupted, but there would be serious consequences later (presumably after the bit of the game you could play in EA). (You can still find traces of this in your companions talking about "gifts" their visitor gave them in their dreams, though that's no longer how you get new powers.) The ring of mind shielding would successfully block out the visitor though, if you could get it, no more dreams or corruption (but also no illithid powers while you wore it or opportunities to get more). You still had to sort your tadpole out, but you weren't at risk of mental corruption by your tadpole's mind in the meantime. They changed the visitor from "Daisy" to the Guardian for the full release, obviously, who... isn't your tadpole. :P The dialogue around the ring's effects has remained partly unchanged, though.
Joining with Orpheus but not only that I think. He comes at your camp in act 2 and offers an alliance if you free Orpheys. I don't know what triggers that, but when I got it in my playthrough: - I found the 3 parts of Orpheus story (you need to do both Underdark and mountain path for that one) - I found a gith document in the creche saying Voss is likely a gith traitor - I entered into the prism when Vlakith asked me to
If you end up fighting the guild and letting roah “zhent” take over then I believe it’s too late to get mol. I have her contract but can’t find her. I did the guild fight and I didn’t see her during the fight either.
The real crime still is that despite people we can romance, there is still no romance-able dragon, not even Qudenos in dragonborn form. Bards can't romance dragons or dragonborn, along with that Tav dragonborn and Durge can't romance him either. Larian did everything in BG3 right EXCEPT for the fact we cannot perform a case of "I roll to SEDUCE the dragon".
Hey, Qudenos is already an absolutely bizarre red dragon, in that he cares genuinely about the githyanki's freedom rather than being obsessed with hoard-accumulation. :P It might just be too much of a stretch for him to be interested in small squishies in THAT way.
i'm facepalming right now, i didn't know omeluum had the instant teleport ability, i was running past the fish people also if you're a barbarian the benryn interaction has a new animation and advantage

Also, the extra damage riders I'm pretty sure are nerfed in Honour Mode.
@@zero11010 Its not bugged, its how all modifiers like that work. It's how any source of added damage is broken for magic missile builds
This man really said "X.X.V.I." instead of 26. Final Fantasy Vee Eye Eye, Balder's Gate Eye Vee, kinda fun doing it like that tbh
this are probably the most common 'rare secrets' ever.... not secret or hidden at all
13:36 You can still get an inspiration at the lanceboard-scene if you don't have Astarion with you. All you need is Gale in your party and then tell Mol to make the move that Gale suggests. She'll win and Gale will be inspired.
5:20
You can recieve the Boon even if you took the egg, gave it to the lady and pickpocket it right away.
One of the dialogue options with Nina was a [Wizard][Strength] option to summon her dead brother. It felt tailor-made for my EK/wizard multiclass.
XXVI = 26
Thought everyone knew Roman Numerals
Some people don't even know how to read their native language. So not so far fetched to assume most don't care to learn the number system of a dead language. Not throwing shade on you. Self improvement is a virtue and the more you know the better you make yourself. Just saying you have too much faith in other people
@@jacobfreeman5444 Fair point my friend
i came here for this exact comment. Thank you
I think there is just a generation gap where roman numerals aren't being taught in schools anymore. I actually had to learn it and pass a test on it when I was in school. But back then movies would say "Copyright MCMLXXXVIII" on the title screen instead of something obvious like 1988.
@@boriscat1999 I had to learn them as well , which is why I assumed everyone had learned them
I am 100% so glad I came across this video because it made me realize that I accidentally used the Strongbox you're supposed to deliver as an item to cover a poison vent. Luckily I wasn't too far from were I left it and was able to retrieve it.
You can still get the beholder flask even if you leave the chest with the Zhent in Act 1. In Act 3, when you bring Minsc to face down Roah Moonglow in The Guild, if you side with the Guild and wipe out the Zhent there you'll find the chest on one of the dead Zhent.
This tip is worth it’s very own video
That little goblin in the cage must have a very high wisdom score to refuse The Absolute 😂😂😅
can you show the source from which you got the information that ninety percent of players will not find these events?
the book for "the forbidden arcane" can also be found within the iron throne next to omeluum, didn't have a sage in my party and deemed it useless :P
Fun fact with the Bugthumble one; If you're a vengence paladin, burying him will lose you your oath.
At 800 hours there were still a small number of these I didn't know. Always nice to see more things come from this game.
Wow. I knew about the goblin priest and the Spiderstep boots, but none of the rest. Thank you for this video!
1:54 you can have both the Iron Flask and the Bow in act 1. You lock pick the chest, steal the flask but don’t get caught. Leave the chest with them. Then leave and do a long rest, they take the chest back and are being tortured but the lady still lets you have access to the good stuff without giving her the flask because she blames them but thanks you for helping them
Something similar happens on 2 more Checks in Act 1
1st with recalling the "Descent". You get an invisible advantage on the passive History Check
And 2nd one is for recalling Goblin behaviour in the Dialogue with Volo in the Grove, not a guarantee, but it gives advantage on the passive Roll check.
I also totally missed Kadeinos. Another weird 'secret' interaction is on a Dark Urge playthrough you knock Alfira unconscious a white dragon bard Quil Grootslang appears instead with a lot of unique dialog
Just wanted to say thank you. I am absolutely amazed by the amount of content, tips and all you have produced till now
I really appreciate that!
@@Toyhouze and forgot to mention everything is top quality
(if you include it in your next video I'd love a shoutout, I love your videos man ❤)
Thanks for the tip! I'll try it out and give you a shoutout if it works! :)
in my current playthrough, I had a decent bonus to my roll, the advantage from reading the schematics, and I have a mod that uncaps inspiration.
I actually found a lot of these on my own by Omeluum's Boon is totally new to me. Great video! Your wall artwork rocks btw. Stay metal amigo
The Learn Spells button is hardly secret, but I do agree it's easiest way to manage learning spells.
I knew many of those, but I was not aware of this godsend option.
10:12
What a time saver!
Guess I'm in the 10%, found these a while ago
You don't get Harold this way!
6:23 I still got the inspiration, but also freed the giant spiders beforehand and they murdered the goblin immediately after I freed him 😆
Bro I saw ur banner and that is actually hilarious. Made my day hahaha
I remember one player pissed they had the slate during that interaction and it doing nothing cool to see they patched that in overtime
If Rugan is dead just speak with dead and have him tell you the password
Thanks for the tips man, those inspiration points are probably going to very valuable on the honor mode playthrough i started
As far I remember if you hoard runes from nautiloid in prologue you can use them in act 2 Illithids Colony hidden room where is Head talking and reading rune tiles :p
I'm a serial hoarder. I see something I can pick up, it goes straight to the inventory🤷♀️. I had no idea that's why I was able to get the ring lmao
Love you channel even when I’m not playing atm
Why tf would anyone choose to erase Minthara's mind after sparing her in the first place? 😂
Wow, glad I got that advantage on the dc10...
The other thing you need is the Vellioth scroll
"Secret menu" proceeds to show you a commonly known menu that just takes a few clicks.
It would be so awesome if saving Omeluum gave you access to an additional allied force during the final battle. Like imagine spawning a bunch of Myconids for example and they would then help you fight the cult of the absolute and the netherbrain.
We are getting the Steelwatcher ally from the Gondians in patch 7 (it is unavailable now due to a bug iirc)
So maybe there's hope? (copium ik but that would be so cool)
I clicked on it and got the "images flashing through your mind" quote but it didn't pick up the slate though.
There are 4 tablets on the nautiloid that gives you knowledge on various matters.
You can also get spiked bulbs from moonrise tower guards' corpses.
(You can still find traces of this in your companions talking about "gifts" their visitor gave them in their dreams, though that's no longer how you get new powers.)
The ring of mind shielding would successfully block out the visitor though, if you could get it, no more dreams or corruption (but also no illithid powers while you wore it or opportunities to get more).
How the heck do you have 77k gold?? Forget everything else, what is the Extremely Rare Secret to getting that much gold? LOL Great video!
LOL I used the tablets to throw at Omelluum my first playthrough LOL.
11:30 There was no explanation regarding how Kith'rak Voss can join us.
I'm assuming this has to do with Orpheus but... nothing was said.
Joining with Orpheus but not only that I think. He comes at your camp in act 2 and offers an alliance if you free Orpheys. I don't know what triggers that, but when I got it in my playthrough:
- I found the 3 parts of Orpheus story (you need to do both Underdark and mountain path for that one)
- I found a gith document in the creche saying Voss is likely a gith traitor
- I entered into the prism when Vlakith asked me to
@@hikatoyshiI usually read the Githyanki memory prism in the Arcane Tower (the one with the robots) it is laying in some floor on a bookcase.
Not me helping Nina un-knowingly on my first playthrough...
If you end up fighting the guild and letting roah “zhent” take over then I believe it’s too late to get mol.
I have her contract but can’t find her. I did the guild fight and I didn’t see her during the fight either.
Played BG3 so much I had all of these done lol
I am proud that I did this!
that bugthimble scene..... naaaaaaah yall got it.
For Mols ability it isn’t 3d6 fire damage, it’s that per ray witch is three
.... meanwhile i took the rune slate with me and can't just hand it over to tentacle boy
Not thank you for the "And next up is a message from our sponsor" flashbang
I have just about 1000 hours in this game and I've never seen the Upper City Sewers???
u find some crazy stuff, im curious, how many hours do u have in bg3?
I always grab the titanstring even if I don't need it. Just in case
i'm facepalming right now, i didn't know omeluum had the instant teleport ability, i was running past the fish people
also if you're a barbarian the benryn interaction has a new animation and advantage
0:40 I've actually sent in a bug/typo report to larian over this specific thing cuz the thing says "Read nautiloid chematics" instead of schematics lol. Not sure if they fixed it or even saw that it was submitted.
