What bugs me is almost all of those software customisations would work on the regular Dualsense… but you just know they won’t let us have that
As they shouldn’t it’s a business 😂
@@Jay___855true, but don’t let the corp-worshippers hear you lol
Welcome to the world
To be clear I am not naive. I’m not saying they should give us all features for free but some should be considered standard (Deadzone control, remapping buttons etc)
@@dcuk893 Deadzone control should absolutely be an option for all controller users.
My favorite feature on the controller is the replaceable joysticks. It’s not just replacing the thumb sticks anymore but the entire thing and it’s going to save us so much money when we get stick drift because we can just buy a replacement joystick rather than a brand new controller.
Thats by far my least favorite. Instead of fixing que issue Sony will gladly sell you another stick that will break after a few weeks of gaming.
For the price, they should have just used Hall Sense Joysticks, not replacements.
@@Juliocf58 third party stuff might work
Same, i have two Controllers with extrem Drift Problems. Thats 160 € already, so i buy insted this controller and i dont have this problem anymore. I think Otter pro Controller will have this drift Problem
Did they ask you buy it? Now stop being a cry baby 🍼.
Seems really cool. Will definitely pick one up...once it's available in black.
Some things it'd like to see changed or improved about this controller is removable face plates like actual ps5 system so you can change the color from white to black or blue, etc. Also at that price point I feel like they should include an extra analog stick module. Also, four back buttons instead of two would be awesome. Or some type of way where we can pick if we want two or four backbuttons. Make them modular somehow like the analog stick modules?
Completely agree
Listen to this man^^
My stock controller is still working great after over a year of playing, but I'm definitely coppin this
Only took Sony half a decade lol

If regular consumers support this business model, R.I.P. say goodbye to equality.
@@diizzii well looks like these lot are fucked the stick drift is gonna be insans
@@diizzii how? It’s the same as a scuf but better quality, what’s the issue here?
No more stick drift is enough for me, volume settings whilst ingame for my party or game with ease is amazing aswell. My only problem with it is the glossy plastic instead of the matte looking finish on the original dual sense.
'no more stick drift' you still will get stick drift you clown. all youre doing is tuning the controllers deadzone at driver level.
@@shaundooley87 shut up goofy. He talking abt being able to replace it
Stick drift is the death of my first 🙃 now busted 2nd in a year I wouldnt buy their sub par shiiiii if yu payed me . Rather buy a scuff right now I'm going to use the third to play while I warranty the other.
Ps5 doesn't even got a web browser my TV has more features 😑 🤣 than they doing ...
@@buttsaggyington2954 replace what? what are you talking about.
There will still b drift you can just buy more sticks to replace it. Sony just refuses to add hall effect switches to actually get rid of drift forever, but why do that when they can just tell you more joystick modules
It looks like you can move the paddles which was my main concern (I wasn't sure if I would like the flat version) and the ability to adjust game volume on the controller is a huge win.
Bro that’s why I said, if you have the headset on you have to press the buttons on the headphone and that has cost me games. Definitely a win plus different gaming profiles for the buttons
@@zzirfamo24 200 dollars for a few extra buttons and a volume slider?
@@luxemier so what?
@@luxemier that’s what most ppl pay for pro controllers if you don’t want all that then get the regular one🪨💀 you thought you did something with that comment huh??
@@zzirfamo24 Well considering most pro controllers have four paddles and you’re limited to two with this controller, why should I have to pay the full $200?
I was 100% going to get this controller because I just KNEW they wouldn’t release a controller with the same or worse battery life than the original controller. The fact it’s not even the same and is in fact worse is the most frustrating thing and I am not sure I’m going to buy it at this point. I probably will only get it if they release a battery that allows for a longer life after a full charge. The only thing that could be reasonable to have a less battery life is if it charges to a full battery in less than an hour. That’s the only reason having a shorter battery life could make sense
And you know its worse how?
@@fuzzybanana9128 look it up
the problem is they literally used the exact same battery as in the DualSense for the DualSense Edge, as evidenced by the 5v1500MA marking on the back of the unit seen in the video, it’s disappointing from most standpoints except repairability in the future, I guess? we’ll see if the batteries are identical when iFixIt does a controller teardown next year, I guess.
I totally understand the frustration with it being $200 but honestly replacing the battery for a better one is super easy, and still you won't need to do it until years to come
@@Lol-hs9nb imagine paying 220 bucks for a controller that you have to replace the battery which brings the price up more and plus labor cost.
I really like the idea of replaceable control sticks and would love to see this become standard with all controllers, especially Nintendo
Hit me up on telegram or nicegram for your Christmas prize
Agreed
The stick replacement is the best feature imo. But its just a bit too pricey right now.
Fax, the Xbox series 2 is 50$ less with better features😢
The best thing about it is that MAYBE some 3rd party could make hall effect modules, I really hope they can.
@@arturomendiola7906 I’ve owned 3 elite controllers, they have half the features that this ps controller has. Plus I don’t think I’ll have to return them to best buy 6 months later when the grip is peeling off
@@Sbcinho not really, in terms of features they're pretty much equal except being able to remove the analog sticks in the dual sense. I know this is Sony's first pro controller but it seems over complicated compared to the series 2 which is more simple and refined.
yeah but think about how that will probably be last dualsense you will have to buy for at least 5 years since its has so much customization
With the $200 price tag I’ll have to wait for more in depth reviews. The regular controller is already pretty awesome so I don’t mind waiting for it to go on sale as well.
Yeah but the replaceable sticks might be worth the investment. Also the original had right trigger spring problems. Already went through 2 controllers both with the same issues.
The normal duel sense is more than enough
Adaptive triggers, Haptic feedback, built in mic. It's a solid default to the point the new one isn't really required
Gon have to buy new sticks every month🤣 yeah my ass investment is worth it
@@MrYOAurora how so? The stick drift on the og controllers are ass. Like at least I can change the sticks without putting another 70 on a new controller
@@Wickery. shoulda bought a new controller they were on sale for a min. then add back buttons yourself that what I did on 2 of my controllers but hey if you want to buy that shi every month go ahead it’s ya money
I’m definitely getting this, what caught my eye the most is that if I ever get stick drift I’m able to swap the whole joystick without having to open the whole controller lmao
Pre ordered this in November!!!! Can't wait
This is the voice gamers use when they are truly excited about a new product. It's also the universal voice for being around a newborn baby (calm and quiet, with a bit of wonder) which I find oddly wholesome.
Been waiting for this and was wondering who will have it first. Your a beast J for being first hands on!!!
I loved the PS4’s quick menu’s ability to quickly change between controller schemes (I had a different scheme for specific games) under accessibility.
I hope we can just do it from the quick menu instead and use the fb keys for games. Idk i think it’d make for an interesting skill/ability button for games that have lots (think mmo’s)
So nice, definitely planning to get it - the settings on the D pad instead of jumping into menus is soooo smart. Loved the interview too!!
Lol there is no reason that cant be done via software
It still will drift no matter what. Potentiometers are inferior to hall effect.
How often do you need to go into those settings for volume? If you game using a headset then you'd be adjusting it on the headset not the controller.
If they also release PC software to access features like the fn buttons and allow the back buttons to show up as their own discrete inputs instead of being necessarily tied to one of the other existing buttons on the controller so you could freely map them to whatever you want on something like Steam input or DS4Windows, then these things would instantly be the best controller out there.
It should work out of the box, they'll just be detected as extra inputs.
it also needs those mouse click triggers, bumpers and buttons. then it would be op asf
More than likely Steam will read the extra inputs like it does on the Xbox Elite Contoller
Do ur research before you type something dumb af
steam will be on this
Both of my original controllers work perfectly. I keep hearing about stick drift but never experienced it on my ps5. But I want this controller
Same. Honestly sometimes you just get lucky with controllers, i was blessed with good controllers for my 5 and as for my 4 the og ones lasted me years before they drifted, meanwhile one of my friends had gotten a fair few drifty ones
@@theduck3876man I’ve never had the problem…i let my kids play and instantly 😂 the controllers come back with it
Same bro and I play COD a couple hours every night. Things are super reliable.
I have 3 controllers. The only one that didn't develop drift within a week has a battery that won't change. So I play wired all the time in 2022.
@@jwilliams1582 i think this is the main issue. My kid has gone through 2 Xbox controllers and 1 PS5. in 38 years of gaming, I've never experienced stick drift myself.
Thank you for giving us more information about the dualsense edge controller and how it works. This video help me alot. Thank you 🙏
Oh My Days! Cmon Exclusive! Let's go! ALLL here for this. Shout outs to you Judner!
I can come to terms with the white controller but man I hope the case gets a black version
FN buttons seem such a great idea, the only thing I do not like is the glossy finish that's located at the bottom face of the controller, hope they'll release matt finishes.
Even if they don’t the fact they are easily removable means third party replacements will be available
@@brandanmurray193 peace of mind indeed
That was an instant order for me, although I would much prefer better sticks to begin with, like optical or hall effect ones, but this is the next best thing, with the way I play I get those start drifting every 2-4 months.
Pre-ordered mine on opening day
I would really like to know if they will make diffrent colored ones. I would die to have a Nova Pink one with all the black accents. Also wish we could customize the led around the touch pad clearly they have the UI capability
I have a battlebeaver and scuf but will be picking this up to see which is the best one
Just got my Battlebeaver in the mail about a week ago and after using it in MWII a bit, I'll say that Sony has some real competition when it comes to the pro controller scene. I've never used a Scuf, but the Battlebeaver blows the normal dual sense out of the water for FPS games.
thanks for the helpful video, just picked up the elite controller
Thank you very much! I subscribed and looking forward to seeing more from you!
I expected Hall Sensor stick modules, but at least they're hot swappable, if they don't release their own plenty of 3rd party suppliers should step in.
Do you think we will be able to buy third party hall sensors for it?
@@campersruincod6134 I don't see why not
I honestly don't know if I want to skip out on this controller... It looks nice and has a lot of neat accessories, but my real question is are they going to give a full freedom of customizations? or do I need to take apart the controller and do it myself?
What do you mean
@@Ronny-Swanton He wants Xbox design lab style customization, which it won't.
@@fluffymonkeyyy6617 I wish they would. Design lab is really good.

you’d be better off investing in a scuff controller, which has 4 customizable back paddles, instant triggers, customizable color, customizable joysticks tops and height, much better grip on the controller too. you can get the scuff reflex for like 250$ with all the features the dualsense edge has and more
being able to replace the module with ease is the biggest seller and is the reason ive preordered it.
I haven’t watched your videos since you had your kid .. but of course you come back with a banger 🙏🏽
Hit me up on telegram or nicegram for your Christmas prize🎉🎉
My only issues would be the glossy plastic in the middle as well as the white. I hope they can make a black one because a white one would not match my setup, which is not too big of a deal but still. Other colors would be cool.
I can see more MMO's coming to console now with the customizability with this controller. Very impressive! BUT 200 bones is a bit steep imo
The back paddles don’t add more buttons, they just remap existing buttons to those.
Not sure how expansive it can be, I guess it would depend on how developers apply those features.
More of these will be bought by pc users though.
@@tangoplays2547 The paddle buttons are useful for competitive FPS. The L2/R2 have the haptic feedback feature and because of that has a long trigger pull. The trigger also needs to full comeback up before you can hit again, meaning in shooters you cant shoot as fast as you can press the button. There is a max speed and if you press too soon it doesn't register. The paddle triggers should have instant response.
if its as good and reliable as the Xbox Elite series 2 200 bones is nothing i wasted more on scuf to find out the elite is the way to go
Controllers like these exist for ages now lol. Xbox has the elite controller, which has even more functions than this one. Razer has pro controllers, etc... To be honest, this controller is the worst out of all the pro controllers available and the price is insane. So you won't see more MMOs, because controllers like this exist for several generations now. Sony just finally decided to catch up with competition.
I like that the pm man is genuinely excited about their product
The FN button is a great solution & it reminds me of a solution that already existed in a Sony game from YEARS ago, DC Universe.
They had the same concept but you hold L2/R2 down, & this gave you access to a second function on the main buttons which you could map your character build to. I've wanted more games to utilise that idea as it's the perfect solution when it comes to controller gaming, the ability to map extra functionality behind layered controls instead of tonnes of extra buttons.
Love your videos!
Yes I have launch controllers that have zero drift with a ton of time on them. The quality of Sony's peripherals is top-notch in my opinion.
I can't wait for the customization and extra buttons!
Getting to go to the PlayStation studios is top top of the bucket list. Bringing my cowboy hat and pony 🐴 😭😭🤎
Great job as always have a merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Yeah I preordered I can’t wait!!
these are game changers 🔥 bye bye scuff ! with the ability to change the stick drivers 👏 great way to fix stick drift if it pops up !
Bruh it's still not fixing the corre problem. Hall effect sensors are superior to those lousy dualsense edge potentiometers
When it pops up
@Gigachad companies know this and they still choose not to do it. They want our money
Keep in mind you’re swapping out one $200 controller for another $200 controller. And you don’t know how long those sticks will last yet. Can you swap them out? Sure. But you don’t known the frequency that you’ll be replacing both sticks at $20 per.
This is not as much of a win as if Sony just improved the quality of their sticks so they might last until the PS6 comes out and you have to buy a whole new controller again.
@@Gigachad-hb7ji scuff are awful quality though let's be honest for the price they wear out so fast
Been have it preordered but I'm disappointed there only two back paddles instead of 4 like with the Elite series controller. I like having the 4 face buttons in the back. Also hearing the batter drains even quicker is also disappointing.
Sorry? Did you just say this glorified trash heap drains faster than a normal PS5 Controller? I'm keeping my money far from this overpriced smelly piece of trash.
That little lock feature is a nice touch. When you spend 200$ on a controller it’s those little things that need to be attended too
Excellent coverage, answered all my questions. I just wish there was a way for the Fn to modify the triggers or gameplay buttons, not just meta OS stuff. Two different Fn buttons too, might as well make one of them switch between those two modes, like by pressing both of them together for instance. Also really wish the back paddles could be used for 4 buttons and not just 2.
Just get the Vitrix Pro BFG... It has 4 paddles, swappable thumbsticks, swappable layouts (xbox or playstation), adjustable triggers and best off all it's cheaper than this controller..
@@Skillz_JPVIGOR wish the BFG had haptic & adaptive triggers
How many fucking fingers do you have?!
@@Skillz_JPVIGOR do those work on ps5
@@ymg1233 Yes they work on PC PS4 and PS5
Cheap, replaceable stick modules might be a reason to buy this even without the crazy extra features. Buying a new controller everytime one starts driftng is a pain.
$20 is cheap? You realize brand new controllers go on sale frequently for $49? Might as well get a brand new controller and color instead of paying $40 for 2 sticks
@@Max-uj4xc I agree for the most part but I would say,
1) Controllers may not go on sale as often depending where you are/what you have access too. For me personally, I almost never see them on sale
2) You might not need to replace both sticks at the same time. That's a huge benefit to having access to each one individually. I've had controllers where just my left stick drifts but now I'm out $70 or, as you said, $50 on sale.
But like I said I agree for many people that will be the norm. Not to mention the base cost of this controller is WAY higher than any other on the market (besides some aftermarket models)
@@Max-uj4xc absolutely, though the stick modules help a small bit with e-waste reduction since there’s no battery, etc. But still fair point
They could just use hall effect joysticks so drift becomes a non-issue. But they couldn't help themselves, they have to upsell expensive joysticks to their customers.
Hopefully a third party makes hall effect stick modules.
@@BespokeSlipp but this isn’t even factoring in the $200 price point. That’s 3 dual sense controllers, that would take about 2 years to get through them. Meanwhile with the edge you probably would’ve spent $40-$100 on replacement sticks. Buy it for other features, but it’s not a good deal when it comes to stick drift. And it’s not my responsibility to worry about e waste. Sony should make a better product
appreciate the longform video! Awesome work!!
Can't wait for this
I really hope they come out with different colors too
They will. A year or 2 from now when sales are stagnant lol
the function buttons are actually pretty cool. What would sell it for me is if Third Party manufacturers can also release their own versions of the joysticks to be compatible with this.
Yes Hall effects sticks and never bother to replace them again
I don't see why they won't
They absolutely will, just like they did for the Astro C40. The aftermarket is gonna take this thing to the next level. And, I'd imagine that Extremerate will start making mods for it like they did for the vanilla Dualsense.
Yes add function keys for frivolous menu settings but only have two back paddles for control mapping 🤔 makes sense, super wow much design
Theyre 20 bucks why not just get the oem parts?! I'd rather have first party for that price and know they'll perform
Dope dope content man!!! Keep up the good work
Yeah I preordered one immediately. Can’t wait, looks like a nice upgrade
I hope with the replacement stick module they make one with adjustable tension
@Waughy i use those foam resistance rings ATM but love the idea that the elite series has
I love the swappable joysticks, drift is the only problem I've come across and being able to fix it instantly is amazing. But only having two paddles is disappointing and I don't see myself giving up my four paddle ps4 controller for this.
You’re not fixing it. You are paying for replacements.
I expected hal effect to not have to think about drift ever again.
Dreamcast had it on a cheap controller.
There’s even a switch controller that has it for 60 dollars.
Don’t be fooled by Sony. They don’t want to fix drift because it’s more profitable to sell you extra controllers or in this case sticks which will be 20 dollars each
@@vitorfernandes651 the two switch controllers that has it is 70 dollars not a big difference from 60 but it's worth noting.
@@TruTrae still better than constantly having to pay 20 for a new joystick
@@vitorfernandes651 What if someone (or even Sony itself) makes a replacement joystick with hall effect? I bet you hadn't thought about that.
Now that the joystick modules are it's detachable it's trivial to design a compatible spare part. There already is a company that makes hall effect joystick modules for the Steam deck.
@@HadHadHad-A I never argued that it wasn't?

nice video i always like the train in the background
The paddles are a must have, but I wish the additional tall thumb sticks were not convex. Why would someone willingly choose convex over concave. The reason people use tall thumb sticks in the first place is to gain an advantage and make it easier to be more accurate, but the convex grip just ruins all that. I thought there would be a convex and concave tall option part of the package. But FOUR convex? Why?
I really hope they come with the other thumbsticks. I've never liked the dome thumbsticks. You can get used to them, but if you take your gaming seriously at all, they are not ideal.
There’s a couple of things that I like about it for $200 and there’s a few things I dislike about it for $200. Gloss black, hard plastic with no rubbery grips, and white color is a no for $200. However, I do like the replaceable analog sticks, back paddles look nice, and the lock in usb c cable is pretty cool.
It does have rubber grips on the back. They just don’t wrap around like the Elite 2, they’re more like the Elite 1 and some special edition Xbox controllers.
Oh yeah same, the gloss on a pro first party controller is absolutely the worst part about it,no esports gamer would want a gloss surface mixed in with their grease from their hands all over the controller, gladly though that gloss isn't a place where your rest your hands on much.
i also do wish the launch colors would be wider like when they finally released the new colors for the regular PS5 dualsense
Would have also liked different materials for the sticks. It seems the only variation is PS3-style sticks, which is kind of a regression. And yes, the gloss is absolutely awful. I feel like they might as well have leaned into a predominantly black controller with minor white accents instead, instead of something that just looks like a worse default DualSense. If someone is going to get an extra controller, there is much more demand for an all-black than for another white, and the all-black would set it apart, like what the Xbox 360 Elite did back in the day
It’s an interesting first try from Sony
@@EvanGilner yeah that’s kinda what I was hoping for at this price point

i like the new Edge Controller.. but release pricing in my country (Malaysia) is very expensive.. the only thing that sold for me is that you can replace the analog sticks, in which I definitely hate the most with my current dualsense (very prone to stick drift, have replaced the analog potentiometer a twice for the past year).. haven't tried the new version of dualsense yet, but will try getting the purple or the camo edition to see if it is anything different.. if not, then I might have to buy the Edge..

It's a want for sure, but definitely not a need, especially for the price, I could get an ssd expansion and benefit more from that. I think I'd use the trigger locks for shooters and stuff, and swappable sticks is a huge plus. But I don't play competitive much at all I wouldn't know what to do in those settings and presets. Normal controllers have never bothered me. Also I have a big dog, while being able to keep the controller locked charging on a day off or something, I'd be scared of the dog walking by when I'm taking a break and either dropping the controller or the console it's self since the controller side is locked. And the paddles are awesome but I'd have no clue what to set those as for any game lol I've been stock controller basically my whole gaming life
Same here I basically used stock controllers and default controls but this the 1st time I was very interested in a competition controller I think playstation changed the game with this 1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 especially when they drop to about $125-$160

Great video bro! You know I had to preorder that straight out the gate!!
ive tried a few controllers but the ps5 sticks feel the best, I hated how the joy sticks would smooth out and lose grip and there is always problems with inevitable stick drift. being able to switch them out is a game changer. The other wear I have had on and tear on my ps5 controller was the usb c plug in, it would get loose and i would bend it out of connection periodically while playing which would cause momentary packet loss, so the lock seems absolutely perfect, ive also tried a few scuff controllers and those paddles are obnoxious, they really thought of everything with this... will for sure get it when its available re gaurdless of the price. It will eventually pay for itself with the replacement options.
Use performance thumb sticks
I do not like the New Black touch screen. I also think that the price tag is a little bit too expensive. I guess I will give it time to see if the new thumbstick mechanics will help with the longitivity of the controller. I will admit that the chat and game volume button is very very helpful, that's the only thing that I wish I still had with my new headset.
At $150 it would be amazing value
@@deagle7602 I agree. Max $180
I think it’s price at that because of the Accesories it comes with. Take a look at the Xbox elite series core 2 that is price at 250 with accessories but 130 with the controller only. If Sony makes a controller only release then it would be cheaper.

That has lots of potential. Excited for Battle Beaver to get their hands on those, bless them, and start selling their own version. Battle Beaver modules and their smart buttons are second-to-none.
Battle Beaver doesn't need this. They have a way better product. Up to 4 back buttons with multiple configurations.. thumbstick tension which I dont recall him mentioning Sony's thumbstick modules have. I got 3 custom dual sense controllers.. and the best one is AimControllers easily. You hardly accidently press the back buttons and they are hella comfortable. Sony let me down with this one. I rather get a Xbox elite controller and i dont even own a Xbox smh.
I know I don't speak for everyone, but I bought a battlebeaver PS4 controller 5 years ago and I had nothing but problems with them. Sticks deadzones would freak out very easily (dust gets in there very easily because they often don't put the parts on tight) and the back buttons would fall off. I went through warranty repair twice and both times I was out a controller at least 2 months. Of the first 6 months of ownership, I had the controller for 2 months. I ended up putting it on the shelf.
I will say the smart triggers/bumpers were great and I really liked the cosmetic options. I also had a remapping chip in the controller and could easily adjust the back buttons with the tough pad combo so it was very convenient. There were definitely some design flaws and I think they rushed repairs because like I said, repeated issues with joysticks and back buttons.
@username you can, but its not like these replacement modules, so unless under warranty you will have to pay for repair. What it comes down to is taking care of your controller, so you don't need to get it repaired. My 1 yr old daughter sees me playing with the controller, so she wanted it. I let her play with my Battle Beaver one because I had 2 others.. she did end up breaking my controller (multiple controllers) but everything she broke was repairable, which has since been fixed. She gave my Battle Beaver controller stick drift, just playing with, eating it, and making it dirty. But I never had any issues before I let her play with it. Now of course I dont let her touch them, but to me thumbstick module thing here is not necessary or worth as much as their asking. Not to mention, those modules could be just as faulty and you'l be replacing them like batteries.
@@Im_Blitz I hear you. I had an Astro C40 controller with battle beaver modules from modern warfare 2019 through Cold War, and I did have to replace the modules every month or two, but they still performed better than the astro modules. Eventually, Vanguard didn't allow me to use that astro controller, so I went ahead and started using the battle beaver sony dual sense custom controllers, with smart buttons, increased tension on the right, and beaver tail under buttons. I'm on my 4th BB controller, and the drift can get annoying, but it's still a total advantage over sony, and scuff controllers. Worth it if CoD's your favorite hobby. Figure I'd blow that much on hanging out every weekend in the past, so don't mind it as much as one might.
@@Husani759 If you've got the money to support that hobby and you really don't mind getting replacements...that's gotta be costly. The deadzone on the battle beavers were terrible. It's most noticeable if you get custom ones. If you leave it alone and just keep the stock OEM option, there's probably not a big difference. The joysticks had to be replaced more than once and the back buttons were super small. I really like the cosmetic choices of battlebeaver, but if I had to do it over, I would've left the joysticks alone when I initially ordered the controller. Kept them on default. I went with a blue colored OEM, but the material was cheap as hell and the top actually clipped off the stick! Got that fixed and then had terrible deadzone issues. After the 3rd time back, the same issue happened again with deadzone so I just retired the controller. Was an avid CoD player at the time and with all the warranty service, I never had the controller in hand. Something was always either breaking or malfunctioning. The $40 remapping chip stopped working as well after a couple years.
In short, when you customize BB controllers, they just don't put them together very well. They used recycled material (or used) and everything is loose. Yes, that can be a performance benefit FOR A TIME...until something breaks. Sure, SONY hasn't figured out deadzone issues. BB uses Sony controllers though so at least stock Sony controllers don't fall apart. The only problems I've ever had with Sony stock controllers is deadzone and that can be avoided for years if you keep the controllers clean. Slap some kontrolfreek products on the controller like thumbstick grips and throw on handle grips around the controller handles. Adjust your control scheme to bumper jumper in CoD, save $200 and a lot of time in repairs.
I pre-ordered the PS5 dualsense edge controller so I'll let you know how that is lol
Many thanks for the presentation, I pre-ordered this mainly for the back buttons. Because I hate pressing L3 for runing or R3 button... On PS4 I used à Nacon controller that was great but not so well finished. Just a question, is the DualSense Egde compatible with the official PS5 charge station ? 🤔
You and me both! I pressing those sticks in. Always feels unnatural and like its gonna break.
It is compatible

Absolutely Fantastic Controller, love everything about it
Are you a boy from sony
I like it besides the price
4:33 You meant to say stick drift, but Sony woudn't be too happy about that, am I right?
Facts
All controllers sticks drift from this generation you act like it's exclusively Sony they use the same crappy sticks
@@malazan6004 Yes, that's why I use controllers with Hall Effect Joysticks, Like the Gulikit Kingkong 2 Pro and The 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth controllers. I play on PC so I don't have to put up with MS or Sony's bullshit.
I really like your reviews mate, keep up the great work.
This actually looks really cool, deff will be coping one
This video is so detailed and all my concerns have been addressed. I'm definitely buying this now. Thanks for the video!
This clown is already ready to buy a $200 controller after seeing a sponsored video 😂😂😂😂
@@akhy2292 Even if it wasn't sponsored, I wouldn't ever buy this overpriced shit. They purposely make controllers that develop stick drift over time and then expect us to pay for something like this???
@Σά ββας Exactly.
@user-in8mz8wk4z what's the battery life?
Same
I pre-ordered mine as soon as I saw it announced. I can't wait, and the best part about it is the removable analog sticks! If you ever get stick drift, just buy a new housing for 20 bucks instead of a full $80 controller! Insane! Imagine every year or 2 years you spend another 80 bucks and the console life is 10 years, that's a minimum of $400 and a maximum of $800, this is $200 once and if you needed to swap out the 1 or 2 housings every year or 2 years, that's a minimum of $100-$200 or a maximum of $200-$400, plus you get a ton of features. Just don't break your controller on purpose lol.
I also wanted to pre-order after announce, but I afraid of release bugs. Bc that’s Sony, they can make 2 or 3 versions of controller after few month. What do you think?
Or just use Hall-effect sticks and never worry about replacing them ever…
Bad mentality.
I’d rather have hal effect sticks. And never have to deal with driftv ever again. And a bonus of no need for dead zone.
Typical ps fanboy lmao 😂
About the hall effects sticks, you could do that too, but you run the risk of ruining your controller unless you really know how to solder. I've tried on my other Dual Sense and it didn't go as planned, and I had every single thing I needed to do it right. If you can't or don't trust your self you could send it in or bring it to someone who may know exactly what their doing so they can swap the original ones out for hall effect sticks. Prices I saw on those are 25 to 30 a piece and who knows how much for the installation, or if you do it your self, the equipment cost. It just all depends on what you want to do.
Definitely getting one
Can’t wait get my hands on one 🎮🎮
Also the ability to change the entire stick module is genius! I hope the series 3 does something with that
2 buttons on the back is a major oversight and cheap plastic materials make the asking price look way too high! Especially when you look at Xbox elite controller offerings and pricings and a lot of third party pro controllers as well. Best thing about this is definitely the sticks being fully replaceable.
People don’t realize you can connect your Xbox controller and work as well too
nobody else is really doing the replacable sticks..id love to see more companies do that tho...very consumer friendly
@@davidprinkey3031 the biggest perk and pro for this controller shame you have to pay over 4x a normal controller for the privilege.

Great video!
Ohh! they announced this controller, I was super excited! Definitely pre-ordering! :)
To be able to change out the joystick is a game changer, and did it for me.
Love the review and i have hit the subscribe, as its nice to see people doing an honest job and not being biased. Can i ask what strap you have on your watch? as i am loving the Ultra
Already had it pre ordered on Oct 25th play alot of competitive shooters so those back paddles are a must for me. Using a few scuffs atm but I'm happy sony finally bringing their own to the party.
You don't even need to play competitive shooters to buy this. I'm never playing the Middle-earth games because the moronic devs thought it was a good idea to have the X button be the sprint button, so you won't be able to sprint and control the camera silmutaneously. And, to make it worse when you very annoyingly have to rapidly switch back and forth between sprinting and adjusting the camera, the fucking game auto adjusts the camera after, like, three seconds, so now you also have to fight with the camera.
And then there are games like Assassin's Creed and Horizon where you spend most of the time climbing, dodging, and picking up an absurd amount of loot and resources, which require you to take your thumb off the stick that's controlling the camera.
Great video I just subscribed
the keyboard triggers 🔥🔥
I love how the controller looks, I’ll probably get one when it’s on sale. I will say though, the Scuff controller having the extra paddles does make it better. I use all 4 paddles, jump, reload, crouch, and switch weapons. The less you have to move away from the sticks, the better.
Smart move waiting for a sale. Me personally, 200 is a good price for what they’re selling so I’m buying it day 1.
We’re are talking about Sony here it’d take a minute to go on sale
@@HoodedSpidey same 💯 pre ordered👍
I just play claw. It’s free
Nah don't get scuf, a £400 controller with no warranty isn't worth it
The problem with this controller is they don’t give you any options for changing the D-Pad
The more I think about it, the more I feel it’s missing features for that $200.
Needs 2 more paddles, needs adjustable stick tensions.
They could have seen what pro controller gamers love in trigger stops and made the lowest setting nearly mouse clicks.
If it wasn’t for the form factor I’d say it’s $100 too expensive. So I’ll say it looks $50 too expensive.
@@spawnofapathy For the same price I have a fully loaded custom AIM controller with 4 remappable paddles, adjustable height thumbs, and clicky bumpers/triggers
I'm loving the gundam swag, you should do reviews on the model kits as well
Hit me up on telegram or nicegram for your Christmas prize
This helped me decide that I don’t need it at all. I don’t mind menu hopping, and never had an issue with anything this controller seeks to make more convenient.
Great overview bruh. That price tag is steep asf tho. I don't think there is enough to justify the $200 plus tax asking price. Not to mention battery life and how it will effect the controller.
The stick modules alone is enough to justify the price tag. You do realize a scuf or aim controller is $300+ right?
@@Ronny-Swantonyou do realize there are other options besides sony and scuff…
@@xacvhFAs shut it Jit
@@xacvhFAsand when those other options get stick drift you have to buy another instead of a quick easy stick module swap lol so
