No Spark Honda ATC200, Easy Troubleshooting and Repair!

- As this oil leaking, stripped shifter, trashed Honda ATC moves along the path from salvage to daily rider, the no spark repair must be made. With a few simple measurements with a Volt / Ohm meter, the fix becomes obvious. When I swapped the motor out, the ground continuity between the motor and frame were lost. This kind of problem can lead to intermittent loss of spark, not at all good when riding a distance from home!

It does sound happier without life support👍 with any mobile electrical gremlins, grounds are the first thing I usually check. Can really cause havoc in modern computerized systems. Thanks for sharing!
I really do like the way you explain it all Harvey. So people who have never done anything on these bikes can understand. So just done to bad earthing it's a runner once again. I use a lot shrink wrap for the wire's on car's you could probably make use of it.👍✌
Nice job Harvey. Is that front fender from a 250R, can't remember seeing one like that on a 200 anything. Keep on pushing out the content and save whatever you can.

@@HarveySpooner As soon as I hear the word seat I start to worry! Will change my calendar to the new date. I still think watching that vid would be helpful and whatever extra costs come up, let the parts fly since this will be a once only focus on this machine. Take some pics of the before shots of the seats and an after, for the channel of course. Got my suv inspected at 8am, went to work all day in the rain, supermarket on the way home, an 8am appt. at the chiropractor then back to work. After seeing so many of my buddies slowing down and dropping out, I'm glad to be hustling as hard as I can. Later Harvey.

Hi nice explaination on the cdi. Someday Ill understand them more than i do now. Do you know what tires are on the rear. I like the bar tread.
I have a linhai 260 that is not fireing it have a new coil and plug and with tester show me that I have fire comeing out the coil but when I pull plug out there no fire and the plug is new as well

Hey Harvey, I just picked up a 200es ran great when I got it home, parked it in the shed , went back out an hour later hit the electric start she fired up and died, now it lost spark any tips?
I know your video explains everything I need to check, but it seems like it quits and then gains fire again after awhile
I have a 84’ Honda TRX 200 I got for free cause the engine was seized up so I got it unlocked. The people who had it before said it would foul plugs, So I put a brand new plug in and still no spark. I’m clueless! 🤷🏽♂️ lol
