Just ordered this one today. Finally it came down in price 700 down to 450 so for that price im very happy. Prices in Sweden has gone bonkers so im very surprised of such a huge price drop:) Needless to say i couldnt refuse ^^

Ended up buying one of these over the weekend after seeing your review. I’m loving it! I’m a noob to all of this bought it for my ps5. Went from an old 2014 model tv to this so it’s a huge difference lol. Still need to learn more! What speaker did you pair that with? That’s my next purchase!

Your channel is up there when it comes to monitor reviews. Just need custom calibration results & especially brightness changes after calibration. Btw are you getting the qd oled Alienware anytime soon? That thing is a beast of a monitor.
Short overview: Extremely fast (more so than any LCD, truly less than 1ms at any transition without using any overdrive), extremely wide color gamut (wider than any consumer-grade LCD, about 90% Rec. 2020). Extremely high contrast, maximum depth in blacks. Best possible HDR right now without any blooming due to per-pixel-dimming. Comparatively dim when compared to LCDs, though. Longevity unknown, but likely rather shorter than any LCD due to burn-in. Less suited to static images, therefore (epic gaming experience, but unfit for desktop work). Relatively strong color fringing due to non-standard subpixel layout (notably more pronounced than with BGR LCDs). Even less suited to non-moving images and displaying text because of this.
Great analysis and I found it very beneficial as I have this monitor Would you be able to tell us all the settings you had for this demo? because those colours are looking hella crisp and all I’ve been doing is tampering around with the RGB colours. Would be a great further help

got this monitor but it has a "smart hub" software that just lags the shit out of the monitor when trying to switch between sources or change color. Is there a way to use the simplified version? the one you show at 9:00
I have a question Bijan, should I turn adaptive sync off for my G7 while I play at 244 hz in competitive games ? does it make a difference ? because I do not have screen tearing on 244 hz without adapative sync .
Hey Bijan! What monitor would you recommend for games like CS:GO, RDR2, CoD? I currently own the AOC 24g2u 1080p 144Hz, and want to upgrade after 2 years of use. I'm thinking the sweetspot would be 1440p 240Hz for futureproof.

Been thinking about getting this monitor and picture quality. I'm not a serious gamer ,I play War thunder and World of warships a lot. HDR is pretty awesome if you take your time setting it up correctly. sucks out of the box. But. calibrate it correctly and use the windows HDR calibration tool. and turn on local dimming and you get it up to 600 max nits and a pretty awesome and nice looking HDR600 monitor. wouldn't get the G7 for HDR. but it does work if you update the firmware and set it up correctly.
Hi I have s series and samsung g7 but personally me on forza horizon 5 and all other games, water, trees, plants are flickering and pixelating and i have tried changing the refresh rate everything.. . but it's still the same thank you in advance for your help
My unit was on the cooler side, so I had to turn down the blue level. Now it's much better, I love the monitor though, It's great. I wish they had a 32 inch version but 28 inches is still a good size. I only paid $550 for mine, so it's really good at that price. I definitely wouldn't pay the full $800 when it's not on sale though, I don't think it's worth quite that price, Even if it is a 4k 144hz monitor.
When this monitor is connected to a PS5 and HDR is on in the console’s settings you are unable to adjust the brightness and you only get two picture options. Does anyone know how would you be able to adjust the brightness on the monitor without turning off HDR on the console? It’s pretty bright and tough on the eyes at night
Quality Control is horrible on these. Best Buy always has a stack returned. They are so prone to Quality issues they overstock them at Best Buy because they know they are going to be swapped out. This is true of ALL monitor manufactures at this time. They all lack Quality Control and require multiple swaps to get a decent panel.
@@armen1136 I'm already on my second monitor and it has a hot pixel. I'm fucking annoyed af cuz I mount my monitors and taking them down and putting a new one up is such a massive pain. The last unit I had had really bad backlight bleed.
@@thethiccdonut5257 Yup, I bought another one a week ago and it had really bad backlight bleed. I think I'm done trying this monitor. I really want the MSI Optix MPG321UR-QD, but that one is always sold out.
@@armen1136 I'm in the same boat. I love Best Buy, but the employees at my location are total asshats and always give me a hard time with returns. Before this monitor, I tried out the 2k and 4k LG UltraGears and gave up cuz I kept getting units with the worst backlight bleed.

Can you tell me one thing that no one ever talks about? Will 60FPS video stutter on this monitor on 144hz (when adaptive sync is on)? Like on my 144hz monitor, 60 FPS video stutters so I have to keep it down to 120Hz (Gsync compatible doesn't work). if this is the case, will this problem be solved by getting a 240Hz monitor like the previous odyssey G7 240Hz since 240 divides by 60 without a fraction and even 24! Please reply, theoretically the concept is clear to me but I want to know this for real, no one ever talks about this, and it's a huge issue at least for me. really looking forward to your reply. @Bijan Jamshidi

I have a question . So i have the ASUSVG248QZ which only supports 144hz on Dual link and Display port. I bought a laptop for university that i also play on, but it only as a HDMI port (that the 144hz don´t work on my monitor), so will an adapter HDMI/DVI do the work or not really? couldnt find someone with the same problem :/ hope you know the answer

Doing the exact same as you, was gonna get a ps5 but then figured with my old tv there was no point so going to get this monitor too

Sync might fix some tearing but it adds around 1-3ms. So if you're playing comp i recommend turning it off
If you don't have tearing, then keep it off because it'll add about 1-4 ms of input lag (Depending on the monitor)

I do adjust the brightness through whatever game I’m playing, just go to ur game settings and adjust from there.

I've returned 4 of them to Best Buy because of stuck pixels and backlight bleed. It's a shame because the image does look really good on this display.
