The LG right now is $1200 on Amazon and the samsung is $650, makes the choice pretty easy

Isn't it a little bit unfair to compare an 800 dollar monitor with a 1300 dollar monitor?
This is the only real review I can find on the b model and all he does is mention LG. Since I’ve been in the market, the LG has been $350+ more expensive. Just like LG, they launch it way overpriced, then act like it’s on sale at actual value. Today, as I’m typing this comment, the Samsung is $649 and the LG is $999. Maybe next time, keep your bias out of it so we can get an actual review, not just this does this, but LG does this. Very annoying and useless since they dropped their price.

i just got an open box 32 inch for $ 544. ...the monitor is a beast and the difference between the LG and this is not worth the $350

Most reviews i see are negative and not helpful. This is one of the best monitors for xbox series X 120 hz, 4k. Other monitors you're spending $800+ for similar specs Sure LG has a Better monitor but samsung has even better ones for $1000, why buy LG for $800 when the best samsung is $1000. People should focus on the review and not bashing the product to promote LG. We get it LG sonosored you, i came here to hear about the samsung for the sake of all sanity. If you want a high quality monitor for the xbox for the cheapest price then this is the one to buy. If you have a few extra hundred dollars then the LGs might be worth it but at that point just get the neo g8, its the best monitor out right now
The G7 G70B is now arround 750€ while the LG is at 1.250€.... I feel like this doesnt really make it a proper comparision anymore as shown here.

32" 4k monitors as it seems there is no good ones on the market
4k is the best you can do 1440p and 4k 120hz or 144hz they are on sale now but 1440p is great still for xsx and ps5 but with ps5 if you have 1440p 2.0 monitor you can't do vrr but can do 120hz

Hi there. Thank you so much for the review. I picked up this monitor for my PS5 since the LG GQ950 is not available in India right now. I got it on the Amazon summer sale for around 470$ which I feel is a great price for the features on offer. I am not too concerned with colour accuracy or HDR since I’ll be mostly using this for gaming.
It’s an upgrade from my current Acer 4k 60hz monitor so for the price I picked it up, i think it’s good value for money upgrade. I would have definitely gone for the GQ950 if it were available but I am happy with my purchase overall.

Great review as always. I’m looking for a monitor for the series x in this price point. I’m thinking the LGGQ is the best option. All I really want it for is to be able to take full advantage of what the series x has to offer.

If you are really trying to take full advantage of your xsx, buy the LG C2 42 it's at the same price as both of them, if not cheaper, depending on your region it's an oled panel with infinite contrast the best hdr u gonna get it supports Dolby vision n audio n HDR10 120hz a real 1ms(oleds are the fastest panel with a true 1ms all the rest is bs)response time at every refresh rate without tearing or bluring perfect image games as intended to be played and it's a TV but a TV that performs better than monitors believe that's would be the best value for your money not the LG 32GQ950-B I just returned it after 3 months of usage on the xsx it's great fast great color but just has no contrast keep in mind he's using it on a pc different settings u can't access on xbox the LG C2 42 was $1500 n went down to $800 during black Friday n sold our in my region but I was lucky enough to get one last Saturday it was the last one too I've tried acer gigabyte lg monitors none of them come close to the C2 42 if u have $1000 to spend make it count and buy the best it's not a monitor so it's not gonna adjustable but u can mount via vesa mount 300mm×200mm and attach to a monitor arm or wall mount it but the LG 32GQ950-B n the Samsung is gonna be a waste of money for a Xbox player
@TypeCTechReviews is a good choice, not a great one, because at that value, u can get the LG C2 42, which u know is way better than choice than both the LG 32gq950-b n G7 I own a xsx n. I just returned my LG 32gq950-b. After 3 months, it was great. I had an amazing experience, but the contrast wasn't there with only 32 diming zones. The HDR is mediocre, especially when it's one it selling points. It's bright n very fast but not as fast n smooth as an oled panel n for single-player games it was awful it's good for fps, but the C2 42 is gonna be great for both . U should review it, especially for that price, because the LG 32gq950-b n the G7 are both over priced can't recommend that over the C2 42
@@jeviendu237 man i consider buying lg c2 42 oled before but, the screen size is it good for competitive? I think its way too big and sometimes it dim a lot i tried to connect my pc to my lg cx oled tv and its so dim. Not consider becuase i use the 55” model sliding my cursor is so horrible and text not sharp. I think 42” 4k has same ppi as 27” 1440p so its not too good. What do u think?
@adisuryadinata819 I used the lg c2 42 for competitive FPS games like overwatch, call of duty, paladins, etc. Its oled panel gives its great response time, and input lag works perfectly for me n single-player games are just amazing. I used to have the LG 32GQ950-B , I switched that for the C2 42 best decision. It's true it gets dims, but I’ve lost a game because of that. 42 inch is big compared to a 27 - or 32-inch but smaller than a 48-inch. I play daily no neck pain or eye strain or headaches so for me, it's the best TV/monitor

Hey man, thanks for the review..i can see multiple differences between this model g70B and the previous one g70A:
1) included remote
2) added built-in speakers
3) samsung hub (tizen os)
4) support for hdr10+ (previous model doesn't support that).

It's very rude from samsung to add support for hdr10+ while keeping the max brightness up to 400 nits....hdr10+ support is useless on this low brightness, let me know your thoughts!!

I picked this monitor up for $650 at Best Buy during a recent sale. Haven't seen the LG drop quite like that (which speaks to your choice as well).

Although not as premium as the LG with its 160hz and better brightness,I think the smart TV OS features and the decent speakers built in makes a good case for the Samsung.

I just bought it around 480usd converted from MYR. Samsung shop had massive discount now plus i got additional 10% for first time buyer which is worth it then getting LG 950 ( $800-900). I wish i had more budget to get mini led like GN70C but that thing also is too big 43". Overall I'm very satisfied using it for my laptop and xbox series x. Now only i appreciate the 4k games. It looks gorgeous details compare to my previous monitor 29" Ultrawide FHD 😂
Right now the LG32GQ950-B compared here is $1050 (it only hit the $900 mentioned in the video for 12 hours on January 11th, the entire rest of the time on Amazon it's been $1000+ per Camel), but the S32GB70 is only $800. Makes this a much harder choice than presented when there's a $250 price difference.
The 32" Samsung is only $649 on Samsung's website.
@@EDUAROSOLAS Exactly. All review he compares them as if they're basically the same price, and at the same price go with the LG, but they're far from the same price ($300 apart now!) which makes this monitor look a lot better than the review makes it out to be.
I actually ended up picking up an Innocn 32M2V. Hardly any English reviews because it's mostly a Chinese brand, but it's practically a PG32UQX for 1/3 the price, and I'm super happy with it so far. The MiniLED w/ 1152 zones is about the best HDR you're going to get short of OLED at the moment, and I got it for $850 (though it's up to $1k at the moment; monitors seem to fluctuate in price more than most products, going up or down as much as 20% several times a month).
The LG is listed even higher now, and the samsung is literally half the price, makes the choice easy for me

This was a really thourough review, detailed and down to the point. Now, the price for the LG in Norway is at around $1500. I did think of getting the LG but after seeing a $600 price difference I went for the G7.
And how are u satisfied? I'm also in Norway and can't decide on what to get. I have ps5 and was wondering about g7 27 inch...
@@DeFacto1991 I unpacked the G7 last night, and was quite satisfied with it overall. You got to tweak some settings to optimalise it. It is bit wobbly, but if your not going to dance on the table you should be fine, it comes with its own remote and you can have it as a TV, while you can have other HDMI sources there aswell. Overall, 7/10 from me. Edit: I went for the 32G700B

I got the AMD9 Ryzen bundle from micro center w/ a ASUS ROG strix x670e motherboard , 32 GB ram and 4070 nvidia GPU. Should I have trouble running games on that monitor or no ? Couple of my buddies said I will struggle running 4k

What is your opinion on this monitor and the LG 32gq850-B?
I have this monitor in 28 and the more I use it the more I like it. The colors are really good. As long as you have the remote to the monitor it's a breeze to use the menu settings.
I'm not a monitor expert by any means, but the fact that I can get 120hz on my series x is a plus for me.
The things I hate about my monitor is the support stand and you have to break your neck to hook cables into the back of the monitor, but I just tilt the monitor. The cable connector layout could be better.
So far I really enjoy this monitor.

Can anyone provide the best settings for this monitor? I can only find examples for the G70A and not G70B version
i had heaps of issues with screen flickering on certain games on my 32" G7. There is currently a class action in the US about the issues lots of people are having with this series of monitors and Samsung monitors in general. my advice would be to google 'screen flickering' before you buy and be ready to put your money towards a more reputable brand

Did you experience any significant monitor recognition delays on boot up or random flicking black during games? I've heard many people have these problems

@@happytown5 I didn't have the monitor then (when I asked the question) but do now. Honestly have not noticed any flickering when playing games at all.
I was experiencing black screens during warzone 2.0 lately, so I turned off vrr from the ps5 settings and it didn’t happen again. I can explain why tho but it seems to work at least for now :( let me know if u had problems like this
@@johanloboa6067 I haven't had any issues with black screen on PC using HDMI 2.1 and Freesync Premium Pro enabled, maybe it's a console thing?

Does this have Auto Switch Plus? Does it skip the tizen os and go straight into the PS5 menu after it power on? Please answer this question for me it's very important.
Nvidia's G-sync compatibility table has this monitor listed as G-Sync compatible, which is not "full G-sync" as stated in the review. It also lists the min VRR refresh as 80Hz which is terrible.
Can you explain what the 80Hz min VRR means pls
It means there's no native VRR below this refresh rate. Instead (in software) the driver will repeat frames to get above 80 and then do gsync on that sequence. It's definitely not the same as native gsync support down to 1 Hz and will result in some temporal strobing.
i only see the LS28AG700N version on the g-sync site with a VRR from 44 to 144. where did you find the monitor in the video?

I got one. When i activate the Adaptative Sync the image becomes more blurry. And I noticed some ghosting on some games like Efootball when the action of the game goes faster.

This monitor drops down to $799 at Amazon a lot (it is today as well) but I would still not even buy it at this price point. Also, you really got to watch pricing at Amazon because they play with pricing a LOT and sometimes will only leave it on sell for less then 12 hours. A tip: I put things I am interested in into my cart and then move them to "save for later" and I can simply watch their pricing in that save for later portion of the cart.

There’s a small little switch under the monitor with the osd controls switch it off and it disables intelligent features mic etc 🤙

I don’t think so prices are different, also the 70 has a oled and the 70b has lcd
the G70B is reported to have screen blackout issues when VRR is enabled so I would try to get a replacement for the G70A instead.

@@soundofskeith7297 the LG 32GQ950-B is a very good display, but if you are looking at the 27" model 27GP950-B that one has widespead reports of blackout issues when overclocked to 160hz. I haven't heard of that happening on the newer 32" GQ. The downside with the GQ is its expensive, almost the same price as the Samsung mini-LED Neo G7 which is vastly superior in HDR. That being said Samsung panels always have little issues here and there (Neo G7 included), LG is less of a headache.

For me it’s all about 4K 120FPS Capable for my series x and since it’s cheaper than other monitor it’s good enough for me😊

Can someone help? I have a series x. I am either looking at the G70B with its 4K resolution or the G65B with the 1440 but with QLED for better colour accuracy and better blacks. This monitor has 240hz which i wont use. What do you guys thing?
Just found out this is the same screen i found at the same price as the M32U - which one would you choose between those? The LG is double the price here unfortunately.
Reviews of this panel indicate a lot of screen black out issues when VRR is enabled, for me that would be a deal breaker. Regular (non smart) Samsung monitors don't have this issue so it appears their Smart TV OS is to blame here. On Amazon I saw a lot of people complaining about issues with dual monitor setups as well. These are all software related problems so they may be fixed with a firmware update but I wouldn't bet on it.
The M32U is a safer bet as long as you are not using it with a PS5. The most glaring issue with the M32U is that the HDMI ports do not support full 48Gbps bandwidth. It only affects PS5 use cause PS5 doesn't support DSC (older gfx cards don't either but you wouldn't be hooking up an old gfx card to a 144hz 4k monitor anyway).
I'm not exactly sure if the Samsung is using the same Innolux panel as the M32U ? The G70B has better DCI-P3 coverage so it may be a newer version of that Innolux panel which is 2 years old by now... Not many pro reviews out for the G70B yet.

In the market for a new monitor and sussing out many options where I'm not spending more than 1k AUD, the LG monitor you suggest is currently at 1600, and the Samsung is currently on sale for 850, though it wont be for another couple months that I purchase a new one so I'm hoping when the tax return sales start I can pick up an even better bargain, or if you'd even recommend anything that performs better than these two that are also 4k, 144hz 32" (I personally cannot go smaller or larger, 32" feels like the perfect size for me.)

Hello, May I know if it’s perfect for PS5?
Hi. I'm struggling with auto sleep mode on this monitor. After a bunch of seconds of no activity the monitor turns off and when I turn it back on a lot of times it can't recognize anymore my PC (NVIDIA 4070 ti - Original Display port cable of the monitor)... so the only solution is to shut my PC down and restart everytime. Any solutions or tips about how to disable it or solve the issue? I tried disabling every energy saving setting (also monitor auto shut down set as never) but didn't find any option for auto sleep mode. Just hate it! Anyone with same issue? Any advice?

But a lot of bad reviews on Amazon are making me hesitant. Issues with screen flickering, random black screens, severe lag when switching between hdmi inputs, the monitor outright not recognising the pc sometimes are some that have been mentioned.

How do I change the fps, hdr and vrr. Mine is 60fps. HDR off. Vrr off.
"This is not just G-Sync compatibility, this is G-Sync." This is, in fact, just G-Sync compatibility, as the monitor doesn't have an actual physical G-Sync module, which is the requirement for real G-Sync.
Also, it's not a Samsung panel, it's an Innolux panel.
Does this have the gsync flickering like the old g7 odyssey ?
Ive been having an issue with this monitor where it would black screen for about 4 seconds when i alt tab. Even though my my resolution and hz are the same is as in game, is this normal if not is there a fix?
I have the same issue with my SAMSUNG Odyssey G70B it randomly goes black while using my PS5 and playing for like 3 seconds then turns back on
@@BREAKINGNECKS23 I am planning on buying a 32" 144hz monitor this summer. Could you please inform me if there is a firmware fix to the screen blackout issue (reports indicate it occurs when VRR is enabled) for the G70B ? If there is no firmware fix I'm going to choose the M32U instead.
@@gencoserpen1260 Apparently it's an issue with VRR. You can disable it or there may be a firmware update now.
@@naturesown4489 Hey, I’ve been having the same issue I just bought one and it’s been frustrating. Just wondering when you say disable VRR is that through the ps5 or the actual monitor. Also does it have anything to do with the actual adaptive sync aswell?
@@Ali-sf2xu Hey, so I have one now too, and I haven't used PS5 on it, but you would want to disable VRR through the monitor itself, because then it won't even be available on the playstation menu. It seems to be an issue with HDR and VRR enabled at the same time, as it happens on PC also. However, it only it short interludes every now and then, and for me, it's worth it to keep the VRR on. I think the colours on this monitor are beautiful and love the features, and VRR is a must for me, as is HDR. But you can disable VRR if you'd like to get rid of it. In the meantime, we should hound Samsung for a firmware update.
but LG GQ950 isn't a true HDR panel, it's only edge backlight enabled panel , but samsung g7 is a full array enabled HDR display.

Recently purchased this for my Xbox Series X. What settings do you guys use for console? Ive tried to get 120hz at 4k and seem to get the flickering which is a nigjtmare had to drop to 60hz.

Idk if anyone will see this but I have a question. Should I use my ps5 HDMI 2.1 cable or should I use the HDMI 2.1 cable that come with the monitor? Idk if there is actually any difference but I just wanna make sure, if there is any difference, which ones better
It's the same thing. I'd use the HDMI cable that came with the console for the PS5, and use the one from the monitor to hook it to the PC. Either way, no worries, both work the same.
It's on sale for $550, seems like a good value, other 4k 144hz monitors are like 700
LG 32GQ950-B is literally double the price in Australia, not even close to being in the same realm.
The G7 is 600 euros where I live and the LG is 1000.

I ordered a Odyssey G70B 28' for my brothers 16th. birthday. It costs 529€ in germany compared to the 1100€ LG950😅
The G70B is also the cheapest 4K 144Hz Ips 27'+ Monitor right now. What do you think about my choice?
Other options would have been the Gigabyte M28U for 599€, and the Asus VG28UQL1A for 692€.
I hate a mat monitor finish, thats why the G70B has been my first choice. I have never seen it in person, but I trusted your knowledge about the hybrid finish on the 32'. I hope the 28' has the same finish.

I got the 28" G70B and I like it, most of the games look good especially those that have ps5 version those that are still in ps4 version limits the capability of the monitor. Tho i have to mention that it's indeed false 4k resolution, it is like slightly better 2k/Quad HD and with the weak black and whites mostly due to the HDR, sometimes i just question if runs properly based of the attributes/specs. Also to note that I didn't really know what's the best settings so I went with common sense. I payed for it 623€ .
Overall I would rate it 7.8/10
Seems like LG is better but for basically the same specs it ain't worth double the price in your situation but in my situation where I was heavily limited by hdmi 2.1, price and lack of options cuz small Slavic country and I ain't gonna buy from Amazon that has delivery time up to 1-3months💀
Also from what I have researched the MU28 is basically the same thing with 1% better ghosting and menu is gamer friendly, u don't have to navigate through the os system menu but not big of deal just turn the Gaming mode on with holding the stop/pause button on remote controller and you're quickly in the settings. Don't really have anything about the Asus VG
@@andrejkosojka Can you please tell me which settings you have set directly on the monitor for your ps5/ps4? I just bought the monitor and am having problems finding the right settings for shooters. Sometimes everything is too bright, sometimes too blurred or colors too dark. Please help
