    Been using mine at work daily for about 6 months. By far my favorite impact so far (I have 7 lol). Here’s my take, this isn’t for everyone. Builders/construction are gonna want the Gen 4 Fuel, it’s just gonna drive 3” screws, tapcons, and lags way faster and smoother. Auto techs? They’re gonna want M12 Fuel since the smaller battery is gonna allow them to get the tool into tighter engine bays without rigging up crazy contraptions with extensions/attachments. But anyone in the middle? Homeowners, DIY, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, I would highly recommend it. Good mid-range power, excellent balance and ergonomics with the included 2.0 battery, buttery trigger feel makes it an extension of your arm and the tapered head allows you to get in closer to corners without having to run an extension to get the tool away from the material your working on. Its lightweight so if your mobile it’s gonna cut down on your tool bag weight (my bag has gotta be 40lbs so I’m thankful for any weight savings) but offers a nice little bump in power over M12 with the option of just running a bigger battery if you need more power, this thing with a 6.0 Forge is gonna blow anything M12 out of the water. I don’t personally need the power often but it’s nice to have that option. The downsides: anything larger than the included 2.0 battery and the tool becomes real bottom heavy, the tapered head means you give up on ring lighting, no modes (not a problem if your nice with it), no quick release collet(again not a problem if your nice with it😉).

      Very good points made, pretty much hit the nail on the head.

    If you already have the Milwaukee battery platform and charger by all means it's a hell of a buy 💥💥💥

    Just got done watching Aussie youtuber pit the new dewalt 860 vs the milwaukee gen 4 impact which admittedly is the strongest right now with the flex quick eject. The 860 came out on top. Hopefully they price it very competitively when it comes out here later on in the year. As for compact drivers I have a metabo hpt one that is even smaller than the m12. It performs realy well specially since i got it for $25 (part of $100 4 tool combo clearance).

      The new 860 looks like it will be a force to be reckoned with! Companies will have to come out with even stronger adapters! 😆

      I like Metabo hpt drivers as well. Hopefully the 860 doesn’t have many issues so it can be competitive again.

    Nice review. The tool seems to work great and at $99 with a battery and charger it's hard to beat.
    My only gripe with Milwaukee in general is heat dissipation over extended work periods since they aim for performance in a small footprint. So if you already have Milwaukee tools this is the way to go.
    If you're just getting started on cordless tools I think the Hercules Brushless impact driver (also $99 with a battery and charger) is the more capable tool while also working cooler than the Milwaukee

      It is, but strangely I have found the quality to be better with the “Made in China” models, VS from Mexico. I tried out the new compact drill, and it is very impressive, but the motor sounded funny, and I sent it back. It said “Made in Mexico.” Got the Combo deal with drill and impact and TWO batteries, for 189.00, and they are made in china, and work fine. The motors do tend to have a ‘scream’ sound to them? I don’t know how that will work out in a confined space? Peace

    Kaleb, spot on review. This ‘tiny’ impact is a BEAST! I am really surprised at the power from both this impact, and the compact dill/ driver! Great combo! Now I’m off to view your video on the “Legendary” drill bits from Harbor Freight! 👍💪✌

    If you have smaller hands, the 18v is more ergonomic. The 12v is kind of fat in the grip with sorta weird ergonomics.

    It's a good deal if the battery is included else I'd also be going for the M12.

    Hell yeah I have that one and I have the compact drill too good enough for what I generally use it for anything else and I’m beating on the company’s tools instead 😂

    Nice demo 👍 If a person didn't have any 12v tools or batteries, but had the 18v then I could see going with that, otherwise the 12v driver would be better weight wise. Plus the battery being almost as large as the tool kinda bugs me. 😂

    • @Kaleb_RoSs
      @Kaleb_RoSs  2 місяці тому

      Yea it kinda defeats the purpose with the batteries being so much larger. Thank you

    • @georgedavall9449
      @georgedavall9449 2 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, there will always be a compromise. It is funny how the M12 tools are usually a bit longer, front to back, than some of the M18 tools? The weight savings and size of battery make up for it.
      But the M12 tools are not for everybody, due to the ‘bulge’ the battery area makes in the handle.
