Garuda being the first eikon fight in game and the first shown greatly implies the other fights are going to be on a whole other level, thinking of Odin and Bahamut especially.

How in the world is the first boss we get to see worthy of a mid-game or near final boss in other games? This is incredible.
That's CBU3 for you. They did that in FF14 Endwalker with a certain boss that would have been a near end-game boss if it was any other game but it was actually early in the expansion

Ok the whole aspect of transforming into Ifrit and having a fast paced kaiju battle further illustrates that we absolutely need a new Godzilla game.

The music and sound design is excellent. The roars and screeches of the eikons and every punch have a lot of impact.

10:10 Ifrit regenerating his lost arm is such a AOT moment, like when Eiren transforms into a Titan after the reveal of the traitors

This is more like the victory lap. The more standard combat boss fight is before Garuda fully transforms. You can see that in other videos.

really wished they added more imput other that square during cinematic climax to had to the complexity of the fight during animation and depending of the score, put added damage and effect that might even change animation, depending of the score of the imput. That would have been awesome
QTEs are annoying. I’m glad Square decided to keep it simple and be fairly lenient so you can focus on the cinematic, and not trying to pass the QTE
Probably playing on Journalist mode, since IGN are typically worthless when it comes to gameplay. Only thing worse then their reviews really.
@@SirDubbs At that point, why have a QTE at all? I'd rather be able to fully enjoy a cutscene than have a "press X to not die" every few seconds.
@@BeatPeet Because it can give you a nice feeling of being involved in the epic cutscene. It’s the ones that are ridiculously complex and/or come in with very little reaction time that are frustrating. Giving the player a easy to react to and simple QTE is okay, IMO. It doesn’t take me from the cutscene and in some cases, makes me feel part of it.
Dayum, from Devil May Cry combat with Shadow of Colossus feel to a full on Kaiju vs Kaiju battle. Nice.
Long classical music (x), epic boss fight lasting longer than 10 minutes(x), insane summons (x), lots of magic(x)

I’m getting some mad GOW vibes from these in game quick time events that are happening during this insanely epic boss fight. Imagine if the other boss fights throughout this game are all like this.

Wow!!! Just absolutely wooow!!! I'm blown away by how amazing this game looks. Can't wait for launch.
My only gripe is the QTE. Just do without for a more immersive experience. It's final fantasy with huge summons. Show was the grandiose of the world!
There has to be a eikon they haven’t shown yet. Could be the final boss. What summon would they use? Alexander? Quetzalcoatl? Knights of round?

The kaiju fight felt too cutscene interrupted. It was cool watching them fight with everything nonstop but each little sequence broke up the flow and agency.
Somehow seeing Ifrit and Garuda together gave me PTSD of the Eden Raids in FFXIV

DMC is not underrated like at all. It's properly rated. It's one of the best hack and slash video game series out there.

Elden Ring and most From Software ARPG games are insanely bigger, there is a reason why modern action games like GOW or Jedi Fallen Order took Soulsaction gameplay instead of DMC

I'm so hyped ready to offer the souls of the honest for a fast forward to June 22.
Amazing graphics that no one can see in the dark. Amazing attack animations in human form that no one can appreciate behind so much visual clutter. Fast paced rapid attacks that lack any impact and devolve into damage number clutter. Half the time is spent enjoying the game, but the other half is deciphering wtf is happening.
Let me guess, Dark Souls fan.

The combat low key reminds me of Castlevania lords of shadow (the first one. We don’t talk about the second one); especially the way the QTEs look.
