So weird that is 1h04 am in Brazil and I just see this comment as o think the same thing.
Flavacol is literally what we used in the movie theater i used to work in
Its basically the only thing with that correct movie theater taste, that gold medal company that makes flavacol kinda has a monopoly on the best tasting popcorn ingredient
What do u mean u used to work in did u get fired
@@angelomabalay9951 people don't usually work at a movie theater to the day they die
Thank you this has. Helpful

Working at a movie theater myself. Fun fact: If you were to make the popcorn to little to no oil the flavored salt (we use the exact same brand as shown in this video) flavacol actually will leave the popcorn white despite the bright yellow-orange color.
Popcorn/concessions are expensive in general because that is what pays for the theater to function and is used to pay the employees. The movie tickets you buy all proceedings go to the production that made the film. Not the theater.
Very interesting...
Kettle corn and caramel corn are actually different, although it’s a common misconception that they are different names for the same thing.
Calvin Musquez kettle corn is just regular popcorn with sugar right? Like no Carmel flavor
Aikano9 basically yeah. Kettle corn is popped typically in a cast iron kettle and has sugar added after the fact while the popcorn is still hot which creates a kind of crunchy glaze.
Greetings, fellow movie theatre employee!
Please Try This
What if you have a phone and put on a screen protector with air bubbles between the screen protector and the phone and then put it in a vacuum chamber?
Please like so TKOR can see this. I really want to see this I’ve requested this before. But people are saying it won’t do anything but I’m still interested in this.
the phone would probably break
It would literally just pop
I’m interested
The bubbles might expand and maybe burst or stretch the protector

"Fill a 1/4 cup 3/4 of the way."
So 3 tablespoons? lol
Quick maths
Yup, I only know that from kraft macaroni and cheese, four tablespoons = 1/4 cup :P
Yuh
4 tablespoons actually.
@@ctcentralinfo no, 1/4 cup is 4 tablespoons. So filling that 3/4 of the way full would be 3 tablespoons.
I tried this recipe and it was EXACTLY the same. I was able to sneak all of the ingredients into a movie theater and once you make it there, you'll never overspend on movie theater popcorn again
You smuggled in your own stove and pots and everything? Makes sense. 🙄
@@cpotisch it's easy me and my sister do it all the time.
DARKSWATM How? How do you bring a stove and pots in without the staff noticing?
Who will tell him?
wait what? you bring a pot and a portable stove and no one says a thing???????
Recently left the theatre after 3 years. Was my very first job and I can confirm this is exactly how we do it. Just in larger increments. Great job to start out too! But yeah, SPOT ON popcorn😊
Popcorn in the theater’s, for some reason, is always the best popcorn
My arteries are clogging with delight just watching this
Matt McClung Sooooo true
Wtf 😬
LMAOOOOO
Flavacol's the real deal.
Stuff costs like 10 bucks for a kilo and half a tablespoon on the kernels before they pop WILL make it taste like at a movie theater!
It does help but it's no miracle, you still need the right oil
@@realkushman On amazon you get the yellow coconut oil + flavacol + kernels in one kit. I make popcorn almost every other night now lol

Bruh that is disgusting. So much salt, better have a stroke instead.
The company makes cotton candy sugar, it’s not for cotton candy machines
my version of theater popcorn STEP 1 MAKE POPCORN. STEP 2 PUT IN 20 STICKS OF BUTTER. STEP 3 GET KIDNEY DISEASES
STEP 4 DONE
Edgy
WHat about that pint of salt for your blood pressure?
You also forgot what would be step six now-death.
Broooooo
Saaame
Except i actually do, if i pop a few giant paper bags worth !
For those who don't know the bottle butter oil could also be used to cook the popcorn kernels in.
As someone who worked at a movie theater: you’ve got the recipe pretty much perfect. The only differences being that the theater I worked at portioned everything for a larger kettle, as well as using canola popping oil instead of the coconut.
Also, a side note: the Flavicol is quite potent, be careful about how much you use - too much or too little will easily ruin a whole batch of popcorn.
I can guarantee this is so much better than all the cooking shows ! Now that is Quality at its best I love Cooking with Nate

Hello
Could you please make a DIY cotton candy machine?
The Boss yes this sound awesome!
i thought he had already done that...
Yea he should
They already did
Yes the should I'd love to see that. I don't believe they have done this yet. But they have added candy to a store bought cotton candy machine.
Cinemark uses Flavacol salt
Bulk bag pop weaver
And oil to coat the seeds. One cup seed bout one and a half tablespoon salt for theatre popcorn by Cinemark
-former employee
For kettle corn Cinemark recipe is two cups seed pop weaver. One cup granulated sugar one cup brown sugar.
Make sure to spray nonstick spray at whatever is being used to make the popcorn as it gets very sticky. In smaller batches might be different ratio Of seed and sugars
13
Not bad. Glazed popcorn should use a different type of kernels, though. You want "mushroom" corn for glazed popcorn and "butterfly" corn for butter popcorn. Mushroom corn is sturdier, while butterfly corn is tastier and has a higher expansion ratio.
Weaver makes the best popcorn, and is used by most concession operators.
Mushroom shaped popcorn most commonly used for galzed baged popcorn because it is easier to coat sugar after poped
for fresh made popcorn, it doesn't matter because poping and coating happened at the same time during the process
Confusion level: 100000000000
Yes 👍 You are Absolutely Correct ✅
can you please do the watermelon smoke thing with a pumpkin on haloween? with a carved face
No I won't
Just watch that video but do it in a pumpkin
Yaaaaaassss
Can you heat up liquid nitrogen in a microwave?
That would be awesome!.
Who else loves cooking with nate
MEEEEEEEEE :D
Meeeee!!! Lol Idk i just think it's really fun.
He is so much better than any cooking show out there
Can he make a popcorn machine powered by a arm mounted flame thrower!
I do :3
OMG! Popcorn is my favorite food ever! I have loved it since I was a child.I need to try this!
I really like how popcorn sometimes sticks to each other so you can eat more then one piece of popcorn and have it taste more delicious
Try dehydrating diet soda, might be easier with sugar substitutes.
Also it might help if you first mix the syrup well with a little water the mix into the seltzer
I’ve worked at a movie theater for the past 5 years, and I can confirm this is pretty much the same, just in bigger batches and larger equipment
How to make indian popcorn
Take popcorn
Take a lot of melted butter (ghee)
Take turmeric powder (as much as you wish)
Take salt,pepper,chilli powder (a little)
And oil.
Mix all and make it pop in a preassure cooker.
After you hear pop its ready in just 5 mins
I bet tastiest popcorn you ever eaten (indian style popcorn)
is it BLACC???
Tastiest but not the best
Don't let the popcorn scam you though
@@TeaDrinkingColonist OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Ooh! Sounds interesting. Might try it one day.
Had to give this a try. So here I am at work, with my new popcorn popper (electric) and a batch of freshly popped popcorn (following your recipe), and now I am in a mood for a movie. This works perfectly.
Use Ghee (clarified butter) to top your popcorn. So much better than the butter oil (and I like the butter oil even!)
Yeah but you need to use real ghee and not banaspati
I agree Ghee makes it perfect
In india we make ghee at homes
We put it on most of indian foods like chapati (indian bread) or tortila
@DY Inc. Chapati and roti are same
We make Ghee at our Home by melting butter and adding Indian Spices to it...
as a public service, i went out and bought all this stuff except the gooey butter/oil, and i got a different pan that is non-stick. i can confirm this is all true, and it works¡ 🤠
8:22 "3/16ths of a cup is not a common measurement...." yeah it is. It's 3 tablespoons.
pfifltrigg he said measuring CUP size... as in you won’t commonly find measuring cups that size
@@starbunnymsp6214 ewww wtf who plays movie star planet regularly? That’s a game you’d play on the computers at the library or at school.
I used to work at Amc theatres and we used Flavacol and Coconut oil when we made popcorn as well. And the pot you used looked like the top of the popcorn machine we used at work very cool and great work.
Having worked in a cinema for 8 years, I can tell you that the yellow colour is mostly from Carotene.
It gives them that unique taste and no butter is added.
Thank u for actually telling us how much of everything we need
I've been making this kind of popcorn for a couple years now and yes it tastes like movie popcorn, I bought the stir crazy popcorn machine, works great! I bought the 32 oz coconut oil with beta carotene, then I had to buy another, and Orville Redenbacher's does work the best for popcorn. If you eat a lot of popcorn, you should make it this way because it's the best way to have popcorn, it tastes closest movie popcorn that I've ever had.
I make my popcorn just like your video (been making for about 8 years this way) except for the coconut oil. I am trying it this way next. It turns out perfect every time. I make popcorn approximately 5-6 times a week and love the whirley pop.
2:14 some movie theaters actually use this
Production value is on point with that animation! :)

I bought a Presto 5204 Orville Redenbacher's Stirring Popper back in November. I use Orville Redenbacher popcorn and butter flavored popping oil. It's great. I recently bought some of that Flavacol, even better.
Why yes, I would like Popcorn with my Salt and Butter =3
Why would someone like salty popcorn I just dont get it
Jobro 77 - Salt is a flavor enhancer. Plain popcorn is bland
he’s really cooking popcorn with gloves😭
Hes like i dont want to get oily
This was something I've never thought about, but I needed to know
I use to use a bunch of these years ago. This is nostalgic
Does anyone wonder how many pairs of gloves this guy has?

Step 2: Put it for 2 and a half mins in microwave.
Step3: take it out
Step4: melt some Salt plus butter
Step5: put the salt and butter in the bowl
Step5: stir it.

if blood clotts than you should try making a mold with blood.
Ew
Thats somehow cool AND disgusting 😂
@Carter Enslein 😂 animals and you are absolutely right
@UCanA59kuBIe5tHGR7SvzT0g Yea, it could work. My mom's cambodian, and uses hardened pig blood sometimes. It could be used as a mold form.

I have everything I need to make this popcorn, only I have a Stir Crazy popcorn popper, because I don't have a stove in my dorm. But I got the Flavacol, the coconut oil with beta carotene, and kernels. It tastes just like movie theater popcorn.
Same
I finally made it and tried it. And it is definitely the best I've had from home.
awesome technique!
Cooking classes with the king of random👨🍳
Orville and pop secret are the only ones I use. The cheaper brands might not pop, or be crunchy enough. Trust me I learned the hard way.
Best mix made from working at a theater. 2 Scoops salt, 1.5 pumps oil. Was my go to for the dead days
I use the exact same ingredients. Just pop mines in a regular pot. Comes out perfect every time with zero unopposed kernels. 6 is a great heat setting
I always wanted to do this
OMG I going to look for a video to do this before i even searched it was there magically, and please make a "desktop" size table saw
Popcorn is my all time favorite snack. Thanks for posting.
Nice video well done, I've been making popcorn for many years and have to say I like how you made this pop corn never know that you could do it this way. Thanks

Me after watching 2 minutes of this video: nevermind.....
I just made my first batch and it turned out great!
I work in a movie theatre all they use to pop it is canola oil and extremely fine grain salt... the butter flavoring is the one with multiple oils including coconut

Can't wait to try this in my mini movie theater popcorn maker. When I bought the popcorn maker it came with a recipe that uses sunflower oil that sucked, so I really hope I can find all the ingredients for this.
I get the 12 pack of 4oz Great Northern Popcorn Company. Its pre-measured, movie theater quality and taste, and works out to about $0.50 per ounce. But you did inspire me to go ahead and grab a cheap, easy to clean stovetop popper. So thanks for that!

You don't need the stir pot. the Alton Brown method of "bowl with foil on top and shaking constantly" works too.

Instead of buying a pot with only 1 purpose. You can use a normal one and just shake it as your popcorn is popping.
So can we just have a weekly cooking with Nate? This is really fun to watch.

thank you bro ,i gotta try this !!!!
Just made my first batch with all the ingredients. With 1/4 cup popcorn, shoulda used 1/2 tsp flavacol, but I did get that movie theater taste.
I have a German friend who puts sugar on his popcorn, he was grossed out when he heard I put..... SALT..... WHAT ??????
Hahahaha.
To be honest, the sugar popcorn wasn't bad at all, it was a little weird at first, but you get used to it after awhile. 👍👍
What would happen if you put molten salt into gasoline
shock wave the gasolinr would ignite and boil making a fireball
Then let's make a fire ball
Lol
lol that would explode
funtcase, lol that molten salt would turn that gas into a vapor so fast that the fireball would be amazing.
Everything you used here I have because I own a popcorn machine. It's awesome to own a popcorn machine because you can feel like you're at a movie theater with some popcorn and a movie.
