Ha ha, wondered if anyone would notice that. I sent it to Expert Die Inc in Dalton, GA for sharpening and it came back with my name on it. Cool surprise!
@@SteveCarmichael I was thinking it had something to do with sharpening a blade and them marking it so they made sure it got back to the right person. That's awesome! And you positioned it so perfectly that I couldn't help but notice. :D
Love rubix cubes! I could only solve it after memorizing the little book, dont think I remember enough to solve it now. Looks perfect for a birdhouse!!
LOVE IT!!! I love your attention to details.....and this is just a COOL looking birdhouse anyway! Only mine would be all the colors all mixed up on the each side.....LOL
Thanks! I'm pretty good at small creative projects. No into big projects like furniture or home repair stuff. Over time I've refined what I like to do and focus on that.
Ok, I am so building one!! I was in the shop myself and the notification popped for this video, I slapped the drill press off, grabbed a glass of ice water and fired up the You Tube... That is one fine birdhouse Steve. A Giant Rubik's Cube is on the list.
Awesome! It's very easy as long as the 45 deg bevels are pretty close to accurate. The painting was kind of tedious but it's so satisfying to pull the masking off.
Absolute out of the box thinking here! What a wonderful way to not only memorabilia to help our wonderful aviary! Fantastic project Steve! I bet it's going to look wonderful.
Hi Michael! Well, I wanted to make a birdhouse and did a google search for old classic toys, looking for something in the shape of a box, and a Rubik's Cube appeared. Perfect box! lol
Hey Steve, Brilliant idea, and enjoyable video. Thanks for taking the time to make and share. Hope you are well my friend. All the best from North London UK. 👍
This must be the collest birdhouse i have ever seen. Those details you put in it are just awsome, i love that! great job man!
Outstanding, Steve! Great idea, and super job. Nice touch with putting your name on the saw blade.😁👍
Thanks! I sent the blade out for sharpening about a year ago, and I just now noticed they etched my name on it when I was setting up the blade height.
A Carnichael branded saw blade? Nice!

As I did too....

Hi Cy! I still have the book somewhere I think. I can still do some of the moves but probably not the whole thing.
That's a lot of masking, but it paid off! Great project, Steve! If only it would turn as well... Thanks for sharing!
I got a comment for ya Steve...
Cool as ever! You always come through with cool and fun projects. Whimsical and practical. Great stuff!
Looks great! The birds are probably faster at figuring it out than I am
Ha! Love this
I had a book that helped me solve it. Still remember some of the moves.
Hey Steve, you’re one of a kind type awesome dude & this project is something one can only call excellent 🍻👍👍👍
LOVE IT!!! I love your attention to details.....and this is just a COOL looking birdhouse anyway! Only mine would be all the colors all mixed up on the each side.....LOL
Awesome project Steve!!! I bursted out laughing when I seen your own branded table saw blade. Great video and thanks for sharing!!
Hi Nicholas! Thanks! Yeah, the sharpening company put my name on the blade a couple years ago, and I just noticed it when I shot that clip. lol
Yes!! Birds!! Glad you talked about finding the right dimensions/specs for specific birds you want to attract...it's important!
Let the birds use it.
Great project Steve. I like your creativity, very inspiring!
That's a really cool birdhouse!
Badass Steve!!!
Thanks Mike! It was a fun one to make.
Awesome job man, I always enjoy seeing the things you come up with. Oh and the branded blade is just too cool.
When you put the last black details on it just really came to life. Awesome project as always, Steve.
Very nice idea Steve ! I may built one similar for my cottage. Thank you indeed.
Always a good day when I see a Carmichael Workshop video show up in my feed. Cool idea!
That's cool Steve! So, is the music we hear from your band?
You're an awesome woodworker!

I like it what a great project could be used for anything.
Love it, great build
This needs to be hung up outside!
Hmm, still thinking about that. I would like to get some birds on video going into it.
First EVH projects and now Rubik’s projects. Keep it coming, everything’s right up my alley!
Cool! More EVH coming soon I think.

Steve, Argg, I missed another one long ago! I must really be getting old (70).
Anyway, Excellent build and paint job!!
Hi Mac! Hope you are doing well. Thanks! This was a fun project and it turned out looking really cool and colorful.

Thank you very much Tracy! I haven't decided if I want to put it outside yet. It would be cool to see birds using it though. hmm
I love it! What a great project, I’d like to see the base made like the one that comes with it too.
Best looking bird house on the block. Oh and nice touch with your name on the saw blade....;o)
Thanks! Yeah, the sharpening company did that.
amazing idea this is by far the best birdhouse I have ever seen!
That's pretty damn cool!
i think its freaking funny how he jumps towards the camera begining of each frame lol great video !!!
Ha ha, it still feels weird trying to talk to people through a camera. Just one of my quirks I guess.
Awesome build Steve! The Rubik Bird is going to love that house................... :)
Thanks! I'm sure there are no birds old enough to know that this is. lol
It'd be nice to have a real rubix cube this size.
AWESOME birdhouse
Thanks!
GOOD job, Starving YOungun! It was 85 here today so it's probably 200 there already.
Remain calm, Pal!
Hey Lewie, yep, it was in the 80's here today too. Hot with not much of a breeze.
@@SteveCarmichael Summer is on the way! It's already been 90 here already. Just stay calm and keep on drumming and making stuff! B BLESSED, Yall!
Kool birdhouse. Love the music. Sounds like a little JB.
Thanks Chuck! Yeah, can't go wrong with bluesy stuff.
Somehow brings me back to times when we would compete in birdhouse and 2x4 challenges.... Great project Steve! All the best from Portugal!
This is a totally awesome project from start to finish ! Love it Steve !
Another great ideal you have I will have to try to make this.
Thanks Harvey! Have fun! It's pretty easy.
Great build steve 😀
Build me some bird houses brother, I never seem to have time to do them :P
Just push that button on your cnc machine! For you, I'm picturing a speaker cabinet with the hole in the speaker cone.
Nice, you even got the colors on the right side. A scrambled cube would also be good.
But you missed an opportunity to make a bird condo for 24!
Good job Stevie. Where did you come up with that idea? Lol
Hi Michael! Well, I wanted to make a birdhouse and did a google search for old classic toys, looking for something in the shape of a box, and a Rubik's Cube appeared. Perfect box! lol
Cool build Steve.
