do you think computers might be magic?..because they do weird and wonderful things,like,,,,you can solve about 50-60% of technical issues by switching electronic equipment off then on again...and its like WTF?..why is it gone tits up when I haven't fucking touched anything?!

It seems to me that if the fault isn't yours, talktalk make a point of doing NOTHING. Phone, write et cetera, nothing is done except leeching off your bank account. We're sick of them.
Oh God I bet. Did you really send it back. My sister had non stop problems with Talk Talk too. She got angry on the phone to them I told them it would be great to be able to talk talk but your shit sucks. Lol.
I had a problem with my talk talk internet connection this eveining....the red light on the internet symbol was on, but allother lights were green...........waited 2-3hours,,nothing,,still red(for some fucking reason,,just decided to turn red as if it was deliberately trying to fuck with me)...so I decided to fiddle about with the wires..etc.....nothing...........so I decided to switch it off then on......it booted up,then the light went green(for some fucking reason), went back to my laptop got 15 minutes of internet then for some fucking unknown reason(magic probably) it decided to come up with limited connectivity and the light went red again.......so I switched it off then on again.......this time.....for some fucking reason it booted up and the internet symbol was still red......WTF??...why when I switched it off then on the first time it fixed the fucking thing,,,(but for no reason stopped after 15 minutes),,,but second time I retarted it, it didn't come up green light the second time?!!......theres no motherfucking logic to these machines!!..they have a mind of their own and they enjoy fucking with people!!.....so I tried the process again a 3rd time.....red.....ten a 4th time...guess what?...this time motherfcking green, and now its working fine and I'm typing this message...........................................no motherfucking logic to these things....they are magical devices...and my advice with regards to solving technical problems is to switch it off....then on......and if that doesn't work,,,,,switch it off then on.......and if that doesn't work switch it off then on......and if that doesn't work switch it off then on................and if that doesn't work switch it off then on, and then it will work perfectly :)..lol
Talktalk is by far the worst I'm on it after swapping from Virgin and the speed is crap but the customer service is just fuckin terrible I'm sick to **** of trying to explain problems to dave from the desert
You deserved to get compensation from them and for your time wasted and that's what you thought to send them a fixed modem that had been fixed so it would or wouldn't work

TalkTalk sent me two of those routers when I upgraded to Fibre. Ended up paying £50 for a decent router and no problems since.
i had 3, even tried a router i had at my home..same problem every time...switched to plusnet and it's been faultless.
I would really like to see what they said after you fixed it
