A photo of their CEO in black face also surfaced. It was handled very poorly and the collective group of the test kitchen chefs agreed never to film again until they were all paid equally. Which eventually led to most of them leaving and creating their own channels. Again, BA addressed the situation poorly (I can't remember if they EVEN did address it) but instead try to slap in new chefs of color to appear in their videos which was taken as a very in your face attempt to save face but their viewers weren't falling for any of it. Their videos kept on getting hoards and hoards of comments about racism and properly addressing the fair salary matter for days. I for one stopped watching when Claire left and actually just checked back today to see if the comment section is still filled with the same comments asking them to take responsibility. Oh yeah the ceo quit and I think (don't quote me on this, I'm not sure) was replaced by a poc to yet again, try to save face and tell people "look we also hire poc" or something.
This is the first It's Alive video I've watched since the BA Test kitchen fell apart last summer. I was so nervous itd be weird and different, so happy that Brad is still Brad and the editing didn't change. I def miss him interacting with the kitchen staff but I'm happy i can watch Brad again

The recipes are very good and an excellent starting point for further experimentation, but the kindness and good will Brad emanates is priceless, especially in these sad times.

Brad really is his own show. While I enjoy his interactions with others in the test kitchen, he really can carry the whole show on his own. The end bits were hilarious, Brad as a dog in a previous life, I totally buy! Fermented sauce looked good too.
