Ok, so here's my thoughts, with the lift you have on the cart, you need bigger tires. Taller and wider for a little more stability. The steering problem, I think a lot of that looseness is due to the gears in the steering column itself. When I did a little work on Roy's old ez-go on his steering wobble I found that the gears in the column were really worn. Because of the age of his cart I couldn't get new gears, but you may be able to. Hope that helps give you a direction to start looking. Ez-go had two different styles of steering columns, a three bolt pattern and a four pattern. So determine which you have and go from there. As always, another crazy video from Skidiots Garage. It looks killer dude.
Thanks mark! We are super pumped on it, and yes after more looking into it we agree there’s a lot of slop inside the rack on the gears. The bushing we did also hindered it more than helped! New steering rack is ordered and on the way!
I put the Honda GX390 on my EZGO with a 32mm flat side carb and a Comet Duster clutch and with 22” tall tires and it will run 28 mph on flat land but would probably pull a 400 pound 4wheeler up hill at 20 mph The torque difference and top end speed is amazing compared the stock motor. Your steering rack probably does have some wear on it from age but that’s not what is causing your cart to drive so bad. Something is in a bind or something is installed wrong with the lift kit cause I’ve done several lift kits and none of them drove that bad. Did you drive it before the lift was installed ? I’ve seen carts that every thing in the steering was worn slap out and still drove pretty good and they might of had a little play but none was in a bind like yours is
Hey man, I love your videos. I just bought a golf cart and I keep getting ripped off by shops that haven’t fixed anything and I’m looking to do a motor swap but I’m in Southern California. Do you have anybody you would recommend?
Hey nice job guys. That is one tricked out cart. I have a question on the one I am doing although not tricked out as yours I got it going, but I am having an issue. When driving at a high speed all of the sudden it’s hounds like something is grinding and it slows down. Once I get it going again it works fine only at slow speed. I don’t know if it’s the rear end that is making that noise or the clutch. Any idea what it could be. Did you have any issue with yours? I appreciate all of the advice you guys have given me. It’s helped a lot.
@@SkidiotsGarage hell no not when mine only does MAYBE 15..that’s a huge jump.. I just rebuilt the upper on my Yamaha g1 and just did some searching on UA-cam for carts mods and came across your video…guess what I’m doing this winter😉 BTW…NICELY DONE…love the cart
There's only one reason American auto manufacturers stop putting Spears pointed directly at drivers in cars, because they were very successful at impaling an unaliving the driver. With the added speed and power of that cart you might want to think about coming up with something else for a steering column.
@@SkidiotsGarage yeah mine has a bit of that problem it comes from the steering yoke gears and the tie rod steering joints but yeah once u get it soild maybe put 1inch spacers on it u should be able to hit like 35
Sometimes it smokes like that when you put a little bit too much oil check it and drain a little bit

convert to the 4 bolt steering as well.
Not a bad idea!
In the next video could you put a before and after photo or clip in.
Ohh we will! Next video will be the price breakdown then the video after that will be a special one!
I was about to say it sounds like a belt.

What’s the top speed with the 670
I got it up to 35MPH so it’s not too bad at all in my opinion.
