Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on UA-cam yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthev... and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyro... The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website

Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyro...

I didn't evem know this was an option!! Will have to try it sometime.
I was just wondering not too long ago how well a magic knot would hold up with a less friction-y yarn. And now I know! Thanks for the tip :)
Magic Knot is generally a pretty good all rounder - its my preferred way and quicker too but for slippery yarn UGH never holds for me x
Great tip thanks so much
Good demonstration and explanation of this useful technique. Well done!
I learn so much from you! I just got some Hobbii metalico yarn to make some scarves so this will come in handy! Thank you!

Thank you Linda! 🥰🤗
Thankyou this is one that generally use though you have shown this is a different way very interesting God bless
I actually heard about that, my grandma was using it sometimes. Yet I never tried it, because usually magic knot works for my yarns.
I normally use the magic knot for everything too (apart from those pesky slippery yarns!)
Thank you so much for this video! Definitely the easiest demo I've seen for making this join. I'll be doing it your way from now on! Keep up the amazing work!
You are so welcome Melinda!😃
That is ingenious!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember watching my aunt do this back in the '70s. I don't think it had an official name then. She just called it "make one yarn disappear inside the other"🙂
45 years later and it's still very useful
This is my favorite join
Holy Cow 🐮 that was amazing!!! That is brand new to me thank you so much for sharing!!
Never used it but have seen itm Thanks for sharing. Donna 💚💚💚
🙂 x
This is a great tip!!!! I’ve had problems with slippery yarns and the magic knot so I know what a valuable lesson this is. Thank you so much!!! 💥🌈👍🏻🦋♥️
A fantastic tutorial and clearly done!,
Thank you Patti! 😃🥰
Love this method. I can't wait to try it.
New to me and looks like that is something I will use.
Wow this is a new technique for me! I usually use the magic knot or for the slippery yarns I just leave long tails and weave in. But I will use this now! Thank you so much for sharing!🙂
Thank you so much! I've always done the magic knot, but I like to have options! You're so awesome! 😘😘😘😘
Oh my god! That's like magic 🪄✨ 😍😍😍😍 thank you so much for the tutorial 💕
Haha! Thank you! 😄
Thank you for this tip. I’d never heard of it.
Thanks Robin! Game changing for me! And I appreciate the way you do this join. ❤
My pleasure! I am glad it helps.😀🧶
I didn't know it.
Seems better than the magic knot for any kind of yarn. This way you don't have to hide the tails when you finish the work, as they are already hidden in the joint.
Thanks for this video
that is incredible!! you can barely even notice it
I've tried that before and it does work. 💖😁
Probably seen it before but will now be go to way to join yarns! Thanks!
I use this joining method on all my yarn. I really love the way you do it. I'm going to start using your method. Thank you for the video.
You’re so welcome Barbara!😃
Very cool
Wow I'm going to try this method on other yarns too. Thank you for sharing. You are an amazing person.
