Just tried this. Definitely a quick and tasty brew. Mine was a little on the bitter side so I will grind one or two clicks coarser (using a porlex mini). Only downside is that it doesn’t make much. I would use this method for a quick afternoon “pick me up” or maybe to dial in a new coffee for a larger brew. Anyway… thanks!!

Here’s an idea, put a paper filter under the mesh on your French press and zero grinds in your coffee.

Thank you for the video. I don’t doubt the quality of your coffee result since I have am familiar with the Aeropress having used it about 15% of the time for 10 years or so. However, I would never make your recipe as presented. The reason is that the resulting quantity is not worth the effort. Even doubling the amounts would rarely be enough. I would like to see a presenter show a reliable, easily repeatable recipe for making at about a half liter of coffee with the original Aeropress. If you could do that, I think you would be the first.

do you know the aeropress volume capacity?

    • @billpiotter8190

Aeropress capacity is probably a little over 200ml. By using a calculated weight of coffee and water added after pressing, it’s possible to make a half liter of brewed coffee.
