Very nice I have the aluminium panniers but like the ideal of the lights and nets.
Me encantaron las modificaciones, las instalare en mi motocicleta, excelente video!!!
Hi, interested to know where the nets inside the boxes can be bought from. Thank you! 👍
Great mods. I have that exact bike and side bags. I'm considering how best to add bottle or maybe rotopax carriers to the front and / rear mounted to the vario on the fixed ends.
I love these luggage nets. I've searched for these because they have a back to them. It will hold the contents much better than just a net. Please provide a link where I can find these. I've searched all the sites and Google and no luck so far.
the light in pannier got me hahah, nice work out there, didnt u think about getting the nice kush back rest for the central pannier?
I ride one up, my wife prefers touring in a Corvette..:)
Hi J. Just discovered this post. So apologies for being late to the party. Thank you very much. What a great setup you have. I have this bike its a 2018 model. Very interested in the make / details of the mirror mounted phone/ charger unit. Also the hand grips. Are they a standard item, or are they an additional vibe proof ? Cheers
Me puedes esplicar como colocaste los velcros de sujeción en la maleta vario BMW derecha y el inflador gracias
Great video! One quick question good sir. Where did you get the nets that you set on the inside of the cases?
The nets came from alibaba.com
❤
Thanks for this - exactly what I'm thinking of doing with my Varios on my R1200GS. Question: How did you route the cables from the boxes into the distribution box? Did you use connectors so you can remove the cases? I'm trying to keep everything looking as stock as possible and over here in Blighty we get a lot of rain, so I need to consider drilling holes = water ingress...
Lights in side cases are battery powered, so no cable needed. For topcase, I used a SAE extension cable like you would use for battery charging and cut it in half. It is waterproof when connected and has a tethered plug when not. I drilled a single hole in underside of topbox and used a grommet, and another hole in the rear plastic on the bike under the rear rack and routed to my fuse box (or battery as you desire).
@@jraiello Perfect - thanks. I misunderstood the part of the video where you showed the exhaust-side case as containing an air pump that this was connected too. I see now it's just held there with velcro.
Where u bought the inner bags?
Hi. What company made the tie down brackets for the tops of the panniers ?
Congratulations, you made and excellent video and mods. Will you be so kind to write the name and source of the bags? My english is not good enough and I am in the process of buying accessories for my F750GS , so any savings are appreciated. Cheers.
They are Bestem bags available on ebay for best price!
Great video! Could share the link where you bought the Vario's adhesives?
You mean industrial velcro? Later, I upgraded on the side with the toolkit because mine is heavy. I did that by using straps With clips that I got from ebay ( like $6 for four) and fastened them to the bolts that are right behind in that area.
@@jraiello No, I mean the outside stickers that looks like a map, compass and the ones with GS exclusive logo
Hi. In the exhaust side pannier cavity I see you put a tool bag held with velcro. I guess the tools could be heavy. How did you firmly attach the velcro bands against the plastic of the pannier? Glued ? Screwed or what?
I used a large piece of heavy duty velcro so the straps have a lot of surface area. It takes quite a bit of effort to unstrap. However, if you are going offroad (I don’t), you could use velcro with eyelets and screw in the case.
What Windshield is that?
Nice work! Can you send the link to the top pannier organizer?
Winderlich, you can buy at Bob’s BMW or direct: bobsbmw.com
I would also like a link. I just searched for these and can't find them
What's a wire meter? And where did you get the decals for your side cases? And those side wind deflectors up front? Thanks.
Can you tell us where you got the Vario Case Decals and the Upper Wind Deflectors?
R1300GS? Are you in the future? ;)
They have been spotted lol
Wondering about the expandable bags. Could you please give a link or the name?
Go to ebay and type in “vario bags” or google, lots of choices. Mine are Bestem bags, but Kathy’s, Saddeleman, and others are good as well.
@jaiello's what is the brand of the nets pls ? at 1:30 - Thx
They are an accessory from a Honda Goldwing aftermarket, dont recall, easy find
