The 80's were actually a really good decade for recording techniques, technology and excellence. I didn't take it for granted, I sought it out, and production values were there in spades. Garage Band was nowhere in sight, nor were there amateurs at the mixing desk.

Alison Moyet has one of the most amazing voices. In the 80s and even now, she was and still is iconic. That talent, that voice, the music. beautiful songs and very impressive, touching and heartwarming. Beautiful and timeless music.

Alf and Raindancing each stayed for more than a year in the charts and sold a million copies each. She had a number one album with Yazoo in 83 too. She had a number one Best Of album in 95 that went platinum in the UK. Maybe the new generation under appreciate her but she was a superstar in the 80’s from 82 to 88. Let’s not forget that she won many Brit awards too and was nominated for a Grammy in 91.

I was a nursing student in England, in my 20s when this came out. I'm in my mid 60s now, and close to retiring. It's still as good and fresh as 40 years ago and brings back so many great memories. ❤

Some of the world greatest singers didn't sound so great if you know what I mean (Bob Dylan,Lou Reed Joe Cocker ) to name a few. Allison has strength and wide vocal range and Adele does as well.
