At the time I wanted Bledsoe to stay the starter. Glad that didn't happen!

Only a real fan would say that. At the time everyone thought BB was nuts when he made that call.

I would say it was about 50/50 and I was about 23 at the time.

What this video doesn't mention well is they were in the Supe Bowl I think 4 years earlier and Bledsoe never got them close again and Bill being Bill likely was looking for a reason to move on from Drew but never said that in public and wouldn't.

I don't really agree with the way this "oral history" was framed, and whichever jackass over there at NBC Sports who's responsible for this really sloppy and badly put together video, should be fired immediately, because you can tell by the way in which this whole thing was setup, that the person creating it doesn't really know a damn thing about sports or this specific situation. This seems more like it's meant to make you "feel bad for" Bledsoe, and that's just ridiculous. Belichick is on record saying that Brady was better than Bledsoe even during his very first preseason, and it was only Bledsoe's experience that made the Patriots start Bledsoe at all, but they were actively working to boost Brady's experience and you could see that they were ALWAYS going to go with Brady, all he needed was a little more time to adapt. If I were Bledsoe, I wouldn't have been moping around in every interview looking for pity, I would have gone to another team the moment the Patriots were able to release me, and I would have worked my ass off to make them regret releasing me, WHICH IS THE EXACT ATTITUDE OF BRADY, AND WHY HE'S THE REPEAT CHAMPION....

Dude got benched & has reportedly lost the respect & trust of the entire Patriots locker room.
Mac is Done. Mac is Finished. Mac is a Bust and he just saw his whole NFL future go down in flames. Sorry Patriots Nation.
