    My first Glock was a G26 and I regret selling it. I only did so to move to a slightly larger model, the G19. Although it fits my hand much better I wish I would have kept my G26 because I could have just gotten a grip extension for it and used G19 magazines and kept the same gun. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my G19 but I really liked the versatility of that tiny G26 with the way you could adapt it into different configurations (grip, mags, etc).

      @@j.a.g2896 they will fit between 9mm, and 40s&w. But in order to switch from a 9mm to a 40, you would need to change out the entire top end assembly, along with the extractor. I've used a G27 as a carry gun for a few years now and I love it.
    I just picked up the Lone Wolf Conversion barrel (to 9mm) from Cheaper than Dirt and it works great. It's like getting a G26 for about $130 (barrel's around $100 and I picked up a 9mm mag). Since 9mm ammo's cheaper than .40 cal, I should actually save money in the end.
    Get the G27 & the Lone Wolf barrel and you'll have the best of both worlds!

Despite being single stack, the Sig is still very large, and more along the size of a G19, but with less capacity. Just got the Glock 26. I have really short fingers. I have the 21s already. But with the long grip it’s not as big of a deal as the 26. I’m going to try learning to shoot with my middle finger instead of my trigger finger. Thinking that will help with the short grip also. Amazed at your ability to shoot that small gun with the massive paws of yours. You’re amazing! Any thoughts on using the middle finger instead of the trigger finger? Keep up the Great Videos! Thank You!

      I have thought about this too but I think its better to just shoot like normal without using the pinky. If you can carry it with the pinky extender I'd do that otherwise you can learn not to use the pinky.

    I have to agree with you on this. I have a Glock 26 that my son gave to me years back when I got my CCW and I don't go to the range as much as most gun owners but when I do I am amazed at the accuracy of this gun each time I do. Easy to conceal and with the extended mags on this and add on grip its very comfortable to use. I have fired this gun and then my sons larger Glock 23 and the difference is remarkable. At least for me.

    Thanks so much for this video. I feel better about my Glock 26 purchase, than I did. I originally wanted the Glock 27 for stopping power...But then this tragedy in Connecticut happened, and my local gun shop had a '26, and said that they didn't know when a '27 could be ordered...I will try to get a G17 mag, 'cause that looked fun!

    @Mrbowgod, They would be the same; I was just not shooting as well with the G27. For some reason, the ammo was really printing higher than I remembered. It must have been the ammo, or else the fact that it had just rained and the air was about 99% water. That's all I can figure. See my accuracy video - they are all more accurate than we are, so it's all human error.

    i own a glock27 and i also bought a conversion barrel .40 to 9mm and so i get the best of both worlds. that way i save some money. instead of buying a glock 26 i just swap out the barrel and get .40 s&w ammo and 9mm ammo keeps some cash in my pocket and yet i still get to shoot both types of ammunition.

    Had a 26, went to the 27, now I'm back to the 26. Why? Because .40 just beats the hell out of guns that are created for 9mm. Busted trigger pins, cracked frames, etc. The 27 is a lot of fun...just know you're going to need to keep parts on hand.

      I have to agree with you. I rented a Model 27 at a local gun range just to see how "snappy" the .40 S&W cartridge was. I was so "put off" that I bought one as soon as I'd turned the range rental in. I love this gun. I have a Gen 2 Model 19, and a Gen 3 Model 30, and I prefer the 27 to either of those. • @johnsonmcdick3002
      @johnsonmcdick3002 7 років тому

      prefer 45 or 9mm - the 45 deffinitely for power. its more of a slow back push like launching a rocket. the 40 is a bit snappy unless you go with a good brand with proper recoil springs and recoil suppression / Ruger and Glock mute the snappy 40 issue. ruger does a better job. but you wont find a baby ruger in 40 :)

      It's not that a 40 sucks. 40 is a good round but... I think it is better in a carbine. Even Hickok can't fire that 27 nearly as fast as his 26 which for him will put out more damage per second than his 27 in the end. Also 9 is cheap to shoot. Also if you have smaller hands the 9 will just be more pleasant to shoot all around. With the right defense rounds a 9mm can get close to a fmj 45 for a very controllable platform. I also shoot 45s and prefer a heavier but steady push than a lighter yet snappier 40. All in user preference I guess. I used Hickoks videos and chose the 26.

  • @dphitch

    Greg, I really have to credit you with being the man who got me off the fence about Glocks. I never really "disliked" the design and unlike so many, I always thought it was a nice-looking gun. My only issue with the gun came to light when you were talking about how many people want to be "free-thinkers" and search for a gun that's more unique to avoid being a "sheep." You were so right, and I've since found myself openly admiring the design and wanting one for myself. Thanks for the wisdom!
