He's cool, but the way he teaches the front split is not right. If you do it this way, your psoas and quad of the back leg will remain super tight and you will never get to the point where you can rest your rear foot on your shoulders, do natarajasana, the diamond, the scorpion... the split basically becomes a hamstring exercise, waste of time...
Apart from that, lovely place and clothes, and the other exercises were fine.

I always find it kind of funny when people believe they have to improve on Shaolin traditions, that have been working for 1500 years.... what you say is totally taken out of context.

One of my favorite videos on youtube. I have hypermobility syndrome and my hips are really hypermobile. I find it difficult to really get into a position that I can feel my hip flexors getting stretched. But this routine does it. I watch it / follow it a few times a month. It has been apart of my fitness journey. Thankyou

thank you Shifu for your preicous and inspiring stretching techniques ! I realise why I got injured ( and not only me....) so many times during the Kung Fu classes I attended to, because of inappropriate warm up and stretching techniques ...teachers were awarded competitors, but did not have the good way to respect the body ( their bodies and their students as well)....I m so happy I found your channel , never too late !!
