ME! The Ferrari BB 512 was the "big" 365. The name comes from the 512S, which was used in the Formula 1 in 1970. 5 liter V12 engine. In the 90ies, it was one of the most underrated Ferraris because of the huge costs of the engine maintenance. If this is a US model after 1981, it is called 512 BBi. Due to the emission standards in that time, the engine has a Bosch K-Jetronic injection. You can recognize this model at the parking lights.
I own an 04 v6 and some people may not know, that the rear bumper cover that says MUSTANG is getting really hard to find. When you buy a replacement cover these days its blank. Fun fact. Also, the v6 although low in HP compared to modern cars is very easy to work on and reliable if kept up. You can also get about 22-26 mpg on hwy.
I was recently given a 2000 v6 and it had over 330,000 miles when I received it. I have put almost 7,000 more on it, and it has had zero issues. The previous owner had bought it for his wife, who was a little hard on the clutch, but he was very good about routine maintenance, and it runs great. It still has the original engine and original everything, with the exception of some exterior add-ons (namely some unique paint and lettering)!
I have a 2000 v6. I have been thinking of getting back on the road. Needs some work done but I may have it done this summer. Starting with a good wash.
Sadly nowadays the late 90s and 2000s car parts aren't being made anymore which makes them a pain to find in good condition besides going to the junkyard to get a factory instead of getting an aftermarket which will be probably expensive…😤
Some people just don't care about their car, and it's also a depreciating asset that is expensive to maintain properly. This thing probably just had engine issues and then was essentially abandoned.
My grandpa bought an 02 Mustang that was identical to this one (except his was mint) a couple years before he passed. The first week he owned it he left it to me just to drive around, without me even asking. I took it to 2 proms. 2012 & 2013. The first one I asked him the 2nd his health wasn't doing too well and I didn't want to bother about it but once he found out he made sure that I knew I better take it. Anyways love to see that you guys took care of this one even if it is just a V6 automatic.
Hello guys! Apparently, that organic material you have on the headlights and paint is artillery fungus. Yvan Lacroix taught me it can be easily removed with peanut oil. I used it on my brother's Subaru Forester since he lives in Florida but spent several vacation days in Virginia, and when I visited him, I detailed his vehicle. We don't have that in Puerto Rico, so it was my ever first experience dealing with that organic material. Yes, it can't be removed, even spraying iron remover or water spot remover, and sometimes it's very difficult also with a synthetic clay towel or a clay bar before polishing and it was extremely easy with peanut oil.
10:32 In germany we call that stuff "Efeu". It grows all over brick walls, windows or basicly anything that is not getting taken care of. Its called "Ivy" in English.
I finally had some good days to drive mine with the top down and I'm really going to miss that since I'm planning on replacing it soon due to a failing transmission
So you guys can have the knowledge - This updated version of the SN95 is actually called the "New Edge" Mustang! I had one of these a number of years ago. Wasn't a convertible, but was a V6 in the red. Absolutely loved this car, and miss it dearly... Considering buying another one.
My mom had a 1990 Mustang 5.0 convertible which was awesome but she wanted to get something newer and ended up getting this exact spec except the top was a tan color. I HATED that she went from a V8 to the V6 but it was actually pretty quick! Great work guys!!! i CANNOT WAIT for the next video!!!!!! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
I had this same car except for mine was white and it was a 5spd stick. 190 HP was what the V8 was getting just a few years prior. I loved it! This was the higher line V6 due to the leather seating.
even tho i love corvettes, especially the 80's ones, i wouldn't mind taking this mustang for a ride. i too think that a v6 is a little underpowered but it's not bad at all. cool find, and i can't wait for that beast next week!
The rust stains on the rubber mat looked to have come from the pedals, rust could be seen on both, probably condensation made it drip down. Fabulous transformation as always 🎉
I had a 98 red mustang and the interior looked pretty much the same as that one but mine luckily was a 5 speed. This one's body style is what I always wanted back in the day
Literally had my 04 mustang totaled a few weeks ago by someone who suddenly pulled out on me, was sad to let her go 😭. Though it is nice to see other slow ponies get a nice refresh, love your guys work and can't wait to see more!
I think “Goo Gone” can help with those sappy like vines on the headlights. They have different forms of Goo Gone too I believe as well. But it’s just oil essentially. And absorbs nicely w/ paper towels. Hope this helps. ✌🏼👌🏼 10:45
You guys did your usual stellar job! Personally, if this car really doesn't run, it's probably easiest for an experienced backyard mechanic to just repair/replace the V-6. Lots of extra parts needed to convert it to a V-8, I'm sure. The car looks in pretty good shape overall from an appearance perspective after you finished with it. And most of the accessories probably still work.
It was parked for a reason. Before I would say parts car, what does the undercarriage look like, as it appears to be a rust belt car and you admitted having problems getting the seats out.
That was actually a very nice Mustang for someone’s first car! That “double cove” dashboard was a feature of of the early 4-seater Thunderbird from 1958 through the mid-1960s. How was the cruise through Italy?!
12:54 a replacement motor… a fresh rebuilt 302 with a cam and headers. Shouldn’t weigh a bunch more than the stock engine, will make more HP/TQ than the GT of that year, and will sound excellent.
Love how in the US a 190bhp V6 is a high-schoolers car. Here in the UK it'll ve something with a one litre engine and 70 brake! We'll still have fake hood scoops though 😊
Watching what you guys do almost makes me want to let my car get really filthy just so you could make it look like new again. I just can't bring myself to let my car get dirty in the first place though so I guess I'll just have to keep watching your show. 😉👍
How can we find out about all of the products that you use to clean these cars . And the tools that you use , steam cleaning , carpet cleaner , and power wash . And how much power of the pressure wash to use ?
There is such satisfaction in watching the before and after of this! However i do disagree with just using two sided tape for the spoiler. Should have refiberglassed hardware into it. I see that spoiler hitting something beind it on the highway 😮
I would take it fix it up and put the Aussie Barra turbo motor in it. Would prob leave the cobra for dead. Aussie from down under here, also what did you say that pre wash chemical was? Works a treat.
Now that we teased what's coming next week..... Who's excited?!
The organic matter is from a vine called Virginia Creeper. That's how it anchors. 👍

I'm no mechanic, but should you be spraying the alternator like that?
Just curious, would that iron remover work on the carpet or would it bleach it
Hello
Wow she looks so much better! She deserved all that love! Great work guys!!!
That was one dirty Mustang. Great job cleaning it up. What a big difference. Thanks guys!

All the 99-04 v6 and GTs had mustang on the rear bumper. I had a 04 GT and I hated the mustang lettering in the bumper .
Sadly nowadays the late 90s and 2000s car parts aren't being made anymore which makes them a pain to find in good condition besides going to the junkyard to get a factory instead of getting an aftermarket which will be probably expensive…😤
I get better horsepower to weight in my 67 MINI Cooper S. And it's faster. It gets 35 to 45 mpg.
Why do people treat the second most expensive thing they own like garbage ! Unbelievable.
Some people just don't care about their car, and it's also a depreciating asset that is expensive to maintain properly.
This thing probably just had engine issues and then was essentially abandoned.
Nothing more than an appliance to them
Or someone passed away. Went to prison. Was disabled. You never know the full story.
Excellent video! My daddy at 93 years old has this Mustang in White with the drop top.
I’m always a fan of restoring to the original.
Yea, I always hated shows like Pimp My Ride that put ridiculous things in and on cars, but loved Overhaulin' with Chip Foose.

Bring it back to life! Cars of the yesteryear need to be revitalized.
It's a V6 auto, they would lose money on it and they aren't in demand.
By yesteryear I mean the 60s.
Put a 302 5 spd in it.
10:32 In germany we call that stuff "Efeu". It grows all over brick walls, windows or basicly anything that is not getting taken care of. Its called "Ivy" in English.
sehr gut
I don't know much about cars or engens but it will be great to see it back on the road especially with the detailing you doing
If you just want a summer time cruiser, this is perfect!!
I picked up a '96 for $2500 and it is so fun to just drive around in with the dog or wife
I finally had some good days to drive mine with the top down and I'm really going to miss that since I'm planning on replacing it soon due to a failing transmission
Torch red. Best color. My 2002 gt is torch red. Loved how you guys brought it back to life.

These cars are seriously underrated. They are (currently) cheap, last, and are very easy to work on.

wouldn't trust that taped wing tho 😂

The rust on the mat, was from the pedals above.
As Brandon would say, Come on man, you know the thing!! Great job 👏
L😂L
This car is worth fixing up for a weekend cruiser. Convertible adds lots of bonus points and red too.
Love your videos! Detailing helps me deal with my anxiety/depression and PTSD. I could watch these all day….lol
Congrats on 1 millions subs, guys. You do amazing work.
Nice job Nice Mustang good show 😃👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
I loved my 02 V6 Stang!
The rust stains on the rubber mat looked to have come from the pedals, rust could be seen on both, probably condensation made it drip down. Fabulous transformation as always 🎉
Does steam cleaning the interior affect any of the electrical switches and such?
I've never had a problem, but it seems like it's definitely a possibility.
I had a 98 red mustang and the interior looked pretty much the same as that one but mine luckily was a 5 speed. This one's body style is what I always wanted back in the day
23:58 that seat buckles can be brought back to life with some hot air for the final touch 👌
14:38 Since you don't remember the interior styling cues from earlier Mustangs, try looking at the interior of the 1969 Mustang. See what you see.
That 3.8 with a 5 speed had a lot of torque and fun to drive.
What a transformation!! CONGRATULATIONS on 1M subscribers!!!
whattttttttt, no mouse nest, thats a rare one !!! WOW, next one is promising, cant wait
Great job guys. Love those Mustangs
Literally had my 04 mustang totaled a few weeks ago by someone who suddenly pulled out on me, was sad to let her go 😭. Though it is nice to see other slow ponies get a nice refresh, love your guys work and can't wait to see more!

You really brought the shine back to that Stang!
LOVELY little car!

Love the ford vs Ferrari reference

Veramente un gran bel lavoro!!! Un saluto dall' Italia..😉👍🇮🇹
Good job! J'aime bien ces Mustang mal aimées des 90's...👍
