For the People who say they don’t like his expressions and being negative about how he seems to like everything he eats, for me and I’m sure many others who watch him, I really like that about mark. He is a positive person and I like how he is nice about everything, and I think it’s because he really respects and shows love for the food and the culture and all the people who prepare, give or serve him the food whether it’s fancy food or very humble food. The places where he is getting his food from is people’s livelihood and many of them put their heart and soul into what they do. Imagine that was you and you serve food to people and they are half hearted, or just criticize it and rip it to shreds and say they don’t like it. It’s great how he finds positives in whatever he tries. Sometimes he might say it’s too sweet for him or it’s not his favourite or he prefers something else but he says it in a nice and positive way that still is very respectful and I think he has a brilliant attitude. Don’t ever change Mark!

I hear that Chinese people are friendly.. Today you proved it 😍😍
Usually yeah, i find the chinese to be quite friendly. But *there are* some racist assholes, like anywhere else. And some people are a little *too* friendly, or intensely curious about foreigners, wanting to take a photo simply because you're not asian or bombard you with the same 10 questions you've heard a hundred times (can you use chopsticks? are you used to our china?). Which if you're just visiting i'm sure you wouldn't mind, but when you live here and you're just taking the bus to work, it gets old real quick.
But overall i like the people and culture.
I dont se friendly With animals :(
When you respect the couture then you can have a good relationship with the local people.
your expressions while tasting food and ur description of the flavor profiles are so amazing .... even while we r watching ...we feel like we r really tasting d food .... amazing show ...

😂
After corona outbreak, UA-cam recommended this, 🤭😂
Mallu EXOL Can you visit me and return the visit, thank you
I think everyone should travel for food, not for places.
check out new video
I know right!
People should eat food for the excrement experience.. not for the fuel necessity.
that leaves out a lot of countries lol
It is not just food, it is a very developed city, but it retains many ancient style buildings, which is why many people are willing to travel there. The scenery and the air are very good, even you can try the spring water there (there will be a sign)
You are the real G.O.A.T of food and culture.
10:30 Like father like son ! the head motion ! Priceless Mika !
Soooo cute. I literally laughed out loud
I love the simplicity of the lone chili pepper that starts your videos.
Thanks!
Wow, that Chinese market should be a foodie or chef's playground.:) Just look at the many varieties of fresh mushrooms! I'm dying to try that roasted duck which is my favourite food. 700 ducks sold per day! Impressive! Little Micah has inherited your trademark head tilt when he gets awesome food. Absolutely delightful! 😘
I hope they can protect and reserve these traditional markets in Chinese cities. Because of huge super markets invasion, these markets are dying.
MMmmm I want a plate so I can get bee stings in my mouth lol !

hallo,I am from Kunming Yunnan! And I must say your programm is so pure and typical👏Because the market which you've went is exaltly my favorite maket in my hometown🌟I am now studying at a university in Beijing, and when I see the Tofu rice noodle(I used to go to that store when I was a child)and the yellow soybean porridge with Youtiao(Fried bread stick),I miss my hometown very much😂

Brandon Richey bra I never tried chicken feet in my life and I don't intend to
Chicken feet are actually pretty good, but like he said it all depends on what they are cooked in. I have had them before, you just have to be careful for the small bones.

I see many of y'all commenting on how friendly the people are. I think it has something to do with the location specifically, not necessarily the whole of China. People in the south are very friendly. Cities like Kunming, Changsha, and throughout Guangdong are all pretty nice.
@@superboychao to white guests maybe. Not where I live, people look at you like you owed them, money bro. Its like that in the south, not in the north bra.

The thing that makes Mark stand out among other food vloggers, is his face expression. You can get an honest review by seeing his facial expressions.
Never in my life would I have ever thought about eating chicken feet. You made them sound so delicious. I want some!
Wonderful to see people so friendly and genuine.
Thank you for sharing.
Try the chicken feet, they are cheap and actually very delicious and healthy for joints. I eat them weekly
Imagine a steamed chicken wing but without meat. Just the skin. That's basically what they taste like.
Caribbean people know just how amazing chicken feet is. Love a good stew chicken feet or when made in souse. I can imagine how they do it would be nice as well
In my culture we eat chick3n feet a lot it's really delicious
jjajajaj i'm from colombia and here is normal to eat chicken's feet
That is my hometown!! Hope you guys like there, Kunming is amazing place~
Jiahui Peng beautiful people and great atmosphere.
On my bucket list !
Mark Wiens, it's awesome to see how respectful you are towards the local culture and their food. This video is the perfect depiction of the Chinese saying 入乡随俗. I've been living in China for over 8 years now but have still yet to go to Yunnan and many other provinces. Anyways, just wanted to say that your videos really inspired me to start a food channel as well. I really believe that some cultural misunderstandings between east and west can be bridged with videos like these. Mutual understanding is so important in today's world.
Got to China in '09, outstanding trip, great people and the food was amazing. Watching on this clip makes want to go back and enjoy it all over again. Well done Mark.
It's amazing how cheap the food is there!
i know Suzanne it must be great to travel to place that has cheap food.
3 dollars whole duck, unbelievable...
Suzanne Dotson agree! Food cost more in usa because of all regulations that goes into ensuring food safety

This is why I think sometimes its unfair to blame Chinese or many other Asians for being cheap or rude.
the standards are totally different..
Aww, Micah has the "wiens lean" down! Good job, little one!
I don't even eat duck but omg that looked amazing! The crispy crunchy skin?! Yes PLEASE! Zander those pears... good grief! Yum!
I need to win the lotto so I can travel and eat lol
