We begin this episode by going over the materials and machine you’ll need for this project, including your embroidery accessories, some extra tools that will help along the way, and your Ricoma MT-1501 15-needle commercial embroidery machine.
Next, we begin our digitizing demo so you can see how to digitize a patch like this. We’ll show you just a few of the tools our Chroma digitizing software has to offer, as well as how you can use them to create mind-blowing designs. Along the way, we’ll also give you a few helpful tips to ensure you get the best results from your digitizing.
After we finish digitizing our design, we embroider it using our MT-1501 embroidery machine. After teaching you a useful trick for cleaning up your patch’s edges, we’ll show you how to seamlessly adhere your patch to your dad cap using your embroidery machine. Why do you manual hold the needle down when doing the trace stitch?
To make sure the pressure foot does not hit the hoop and possible further damage the machine
How do you center a hat when you're doing a regular hat strict from the em 10 10
Measure up from the bill that half distance to find a good vertically centered placement for the design. Marking this measurement on the cap with masking tape or tailor's chalk works well. Use the hoop and up or down arrows to move the hoop into position.

Hi there! This means that patch embroideries can be removed from one cap and placed on another! Not only that, but embroidered patches are also more stable and also allows patch embroidery to have finer detail than direct embroidery.
How low can the patch be on the hat?
It can last up to 25 washes!
