I swear. I have a million question about digitizing. Micro problems adding up in my embroideries that makes finished product look meh. This man has the million answers scattered across his all youtube channel. In each video I find myself literally like "WOW this is why is does that ???" I go and do a test, and there it is the problem is gone. He has the words on the problems that i can't explain. He is the true GOAT of digitizing

My embroidery business has been open in Bali, Indonesia for 20years and we closed due to covid and had to move the machine and everything yo our house. After all was said and done I had no resources to cope with the move at all and nowhere to even put my machine. Our house is in the middle of ricefields and jungle. Moving the 1000 pound machine there was a major logistic undertaking to say the least.
A really lovely customer who runs a building construction company helped me move the machine and build a room for it for free to help me out. They are angels indeed. The hats are for them and now I'm totally stuck as the framing of the caps just isn't working out. Panicking now.

As a total newbie to digitizing, I was surprised by how much I could follow because I have a solid understanding of graphic software fundamentals (object manipulation, layers, switching views). Getting excited about learning!

Yes they are very similar, difference being the object your creating are being filled with thread. Your graphics background will definitely be an asset.

@@EmbroideryLegacy thank you! I’ve always appreciated your trainings and love the lace files I got several years ago.

I have been digitizing for well since 2004, I took a break between 2010 and 2015, but doing it again. I use Tajima DG.ML v14 software, but I absolutely despise doing hats, A lot of the time I use little to no underlay because when it is embroidering sometimes something shifts and it's sticking out, for the past few years I have been doing all my designs from center out even for flats, because I figure I do not need to make it twice if I do it that way, but I never dream of using an edge run stitching assuming you will see it a lot stitching out. My fill stitches never look good, I was never taught how to do any of it so I self-taught myself which probably hurt me in the long run and now I basically just feel lots because I see other companies that do embroidery that looks crystal clear, and mine does not, and I keep editing and trying different pull comps, underlays, and density, but I can't seem to find the outcome I want and its frustrating to say the least. I really like your videos though, I just found them and I am going to go around and watch as many as I can.

Happy to hear your back to digitizing! :) Thanks for watching my videos, I'm glad you're enjoying them so far! Learning to digitize can definitely be a difficult process without proper education. Which is why I make interactive online lessons taking the frustration and learning curve out of learning digitizing. Unfortuenly I have not made lessons for that software brand but we do offer a 30 day free trial to Hatch, which in my and many others opinion is the best home digitizing software available. Here's a link to our 30-day free trial as well as our lessons: digitizingmadeeasy.com/hatch-embroidery-free-trial/

@@EmbroideryLegacy I am also wondering what's the difference from using Hatch as opposed to Wilcom Studio Designer 4. Just a lot more options? Is hatch really basic? Does it need everything I need it to do? I am downloading the trial now. Just Curious why Hatch for Design Studio beside the cost. Thanks!

Hi John, I've done a couple of hats and have the digitisation done professionally. However, on completion of the caps I can see the design is slightly inverted, can you give an explanation as to why this happens?
    Thanks

Hard to assess a reason with no visual. If you post it in one of our groups we might be able to help.
