Your videos help me a lot when over thinking as I can divert my thoughts over to your voice and the stories. Thank you for everything you do Joel :) sleep well to whoever is listening to this before they go to bed.
Absolutely LOVE these longer compilations. I have a hard time following TV these days and it's nice to just put these on and have some comfort without having to choose a new set of stories.
Literally 0 fucking way a bunch of kids are shooting bows for the first time and aren’t using field tips( non sharpened blunted tips) even experienced archers use field tips while training to not ruin there targets no way some child put an arrow 8 in deep in another
That is exactly how I feel I can't watch TV anymore since I had surgery on my brain this is literally the only thing that keeps me calm during the day and helps me sleep at night.
Wanna know what’s so crazy to me is I started listening in 2016. I’d turn the lights off and gather my kids and kid brother, then aged 7 8 11 (my youngest a newborn) we’d put on cool galaxy lights and strobes and make comfy spots all over said room with every blanket pillow and plushie imaginable. Popcorn and snacks and we’d listen to Let’s Read stories together. Sometimes we’d camp out back in a tent, same set up. My kids are teens now and they still listen to these stories to relax, to clean, to craft and with friends. It’s so precious to me as a mother to walk by their rooms and hear Joel’s voice 😭😭😭 I’m also extremely grateful for those memories I hold so near and dear to my heart, the years start coming and they truly don’t stop coming.

Dude, the story at 1:58:41 really hits close to home. I had recently suffered from a miscarriage, a baby I had wanted for so long now gone forever and it really impacted my mental health. My sister in law being as embracive as she is, got me out of the house with the excuse of going grocery shopping. We were walking around, I was very absent minded because of the whole situation so I hadn’t noticed anything off or really cared. But my sister in law noticed a strange guy following us from aisle to aisle, and as we were passing by a random stranger she saw a camera flash. Immediately she spun around just in time to see the guy hurrying around the corner, and so she quickly informed me. I thought she was just being paranoid at first, but then I started paying closer attention and I did in fact notice he was lurking. I happened to be a part of the construction crew at that very store, so I flagged down a coworker I recognized and had my sil explain what she saw. By then he had traveled a few aisles down to distance himself from us, or maybe to hide. A group of nearby girls(two lesbian couples and a mutual friend) witnessed the man following us and acting really sus, they backed up my sil’s initial suspicions and security began searching for the man. He had taken off his jacket and turned his hat around, changing his appearance but to no avail as both my sil and the group of ladies recognized him immediately. He was escorted out of the store, he didn’t deny the claims he just left without another word and wouldn’t show his phone. The two couples and their friend followed us out to the parking lot, where the guy had pulled out his truck in front of our vehicle almost like he was trying to prevent us from leaving? One of the ladies(bless her heart, she was a warrior) grabbed a crowbar out of her trunk and threatened to bash in his windows and kick his ass if he didn’t leave. They then exchange some profanities and threats before he blazes outta there. His truck had illinois plates, after that the ladies simply wouldn’t let us leave alone and offered to escort us to the police station. We all feared that this might have been an attempted kidnapping or tagging, as trafficking has started to get out of hand in our area. Either way, I’m very thankful to those young women for helping us get out of there safely because who knows what that guy had planned for me and my Sil. Thanks ladies! I hope you are all doing well ❤❤❤
First of all, so sorry about your miscarriage {{hugs}}! Next...there's safety in numbers & the gal that grabbed the crowbar reminds me of me! At 64, I have decades of street smarts, being fully aware of my surroundings & do what I can to protect myself. I simply don't care about hurting anyone's feelings. You get in my personal space in a creepy way & my thumb is on my spray. That guy would have gotten one warning in the store & a shot of pepper spray in the parking lot when he blocked my car. We ladies do NOT have to put up with that crap.
I have started preemptively liking these videos even before listening when using for a sleep aide. I am always asleep within minutes. Best voice ever. Also when listening during the day, the stories chosen are captivating. LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
This was an awesome compilation Joel! My son recently moved away and I am having a hard time dealing with it, but listening to you has helped so very much, so thank you!😊
That story about Joel Guy Jr. is just chilling. They did a segment on him on an episode of Court Cam. The dude had no remorse whatsoever, like there was nothing behind his eyes.
Yeah those aren’t people I don’t think. It’s rare but demons can possess human beings and destroy their souls. As a Mormon we do believe in that sort of thing. He was probably possessed or mentally deranged.
I noticed the Joel Jr. show emotion, just not for his family. Emotion for the one person he felt a strong bond, his college roommate. I think it was this guy, he didn't want to lose, and felt he would without the money provided by his mom.
I wonder how Joel feels when he hears " THANK YOU and how he has changed peoples lives for the best! by putting them to sleep while he reads. Not from boredom but his soothing voice.
❤Joel i think your calming voice flooding through my air pods is the only thing keeping me from not killing my teenager lately 😅 Thank you, kind sir. Update: halfway through first story - sorry if my comment seems insensitive in any way 😬

I have really bad anxiety which is always worse at night when I'm alone with thoughts in the quiet of the night. And I happen to love true crime (and scary stories) so when I came across this on you tube I was immediately interested. And once I heard your voice and the story began....I was hooked. And any thoughts and worries I had been replaying on repeat in my head keeping me awake and anxious suddenly stopped. And I was drawn into the story more and more as your voice continued to calm me till I couldn't stay awake anymore. Which means that I will definitely be listening again tomorrow night...so thank you for a night of calmness and for helping me to fall asleep. And Im soo loving the stories so hugs to the reader...you are really amazing! And to all others out there listening....Sweet dreams and hugs to all of you! ♡
I’ve had a really rough few weeks and whenever it gets dark, all the stress and worries just get so much worse especially when the house goes quiet and I’m trying to sleep, I curiously decided to put this on one night to try and get my mind to focus on other things. This video helped so much and my sleep has improved so much since that night.
I've been holding off on watching videos for a while cause I'd watched them all and I know I'll go through them pretty quick so it's good to see a big upload like this 😂
I love *LOVE* that you play dark ambient music in the background of most of your of your videos! Don’t get me wrong, I love the sound of rain, but I’d much rather relax and listen to creepy stories with hauntingly dark ambient music playing in the background! Plus, it gives the stories more of an eerie vibe! 🎶🖤😱
Just recently found this channel and this guy must have melatonin in his voice because I have so much trouble falling asleep and 30 min in I’m gone…beautifully told; thank you
Man.. that kid gruesomely killing his parents story legit made me want to cry. That’s such a horrifically sad story and my vivid imagination mixed with your talent for story telling definitely didn’t help. Love your content so much though! You’re definitely one of my favorite channels since discovering you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much! Your tone of voice and fluctuation is perfect, and makes the stories even more interesting! You give life to the stories just with your voice. I’ve heard other scary story videos, and the narrator is so monotone that I cannot listen to it. Your videos are perfection and I appreciate it.
story about the reported mobile meth lab....It was probably the cops who named the poor kid. Just because the news reported it as an anonymous, doesn't mean that some corrupt cop on the take didn't give that info.
As I’m listening to the story where the lady wants to send that poor girl to the angels, there’s a mini ad for angel soft 😅 ooooffff that’s creepy lol. Love your videos! Your voice is so soothing too which makes it even better.
The story about the homeless guy made me appreciate that I am not living like that anymore..my story was similar to his and I hve my own apartment now and have been here 3 years aswell this year is going into my 4th year now..I’m so glad that phase in my life is over and touch wood it doesn’t happen again..I also have a decent paying job now too..
To be fair, I wouldn't show some random stranger my phone just because they thought I was taking pictures of them. That's a good way to get your sh*t stolen.
Lily, agree. It made me suspicious of the narrator's story - she's not a reliable narrator's because of her bad judgment, ie thinking his reluctance to show her his phone MUST be a definitive sign of guilt.
I thought the same thing. There’s no way I’m handing my phone over to a stranger and let them look through my stuff. That’s insane. It is also perfectly legal, in many jurisdictions, to take photos of people in public spaces, even if they are privately owned. There are a lot of neurotic women out here. Lady, no one was taking your photo. You’re not that important.
I don't know what I did before finding your channel and now I have to have it to be able to even get any sleep so thank you for your stories 💕 it's 3:27am here in Tennessee I have horrible insomnia so I don't get Alot of sleep and I am exhausted half way through the day but now I found this and I think it is awesome.
You literally just read my mind.. I am super sick and this helped a bunch. Thx for this, ive followed you since the getgo and you never disappoint. Love from Sweden, night 🤗🖤
Thank you, I haven't been able to sleep for a few days and just played some of your creepy stories and I fell asleep!! Also I still drink chocolate milk and eat banana muffins 🙃 Take care of yourself Joel
To everyone who clarifies everything with "I have so... > please don't. Literally EVERYONE says they have mental health issues & 99% is just normal behavior. Everyone gets depressed, has anxiety, is insecure in some social situations, gets triggered by bad memories, etc. You're normal!
Thank you 🖤🎧 this is the first channel I found that i could listen to and not feel anxious. Im such a tightly wound person. It helps so much to have my attention diverted. Love your channel 🤘🏼🤘🏼🖤

Man.. that kid gruesomely killing his parents story legit made me want to cry. That’s such a horrifically sad story and my vivid imagination mixed with your talent for story telling definitely didn’t help. Love your content so much though! You’re definitely one of my favorite channels since discovering you!
Loving the spooky ambience in the backround! Adds a layer of spookiness.
@2:09:15 “Or maybe it was just some random tweaker being Donny Thornberry in the middle of the night.” 😂
Somenights when I can't sleep and when I am sad but don't know how to tell people what I feel. Your stories help and let me fall asleep
glad you found something to make it better :) ive been there before. beat the pressure, hang in there .
Broke my arm. Hurts bad. Thank goodness for your videos.
These stories are so good 😻 thank you 🥰🙏
I cannot explain the excitement right now… new video yessss this seriously has made my night la you let’s read!
story about the reported mobile meth lab....It was probably the cops who named the poor kid. Just because the news reported it as an anonymous, doesn't mean that some corrupt cop on the take didn't give that info.
I enjoy this so much. I love your voice the most. I will pray for you and your family. ❤
Let’s gooooooo, getting ready for work listening to this. Thanks appreciate your work man! 💫
My daughter loves scary stories and your voice helps her fall asleep.
Ah that first story I've heard before but completely forgot the ending so it's great to hear again, the joys of a bad memory!
Getting ready for bed but will be bingeing the rest of this tomorrow. Thanks Joel!
3 hours!! You made my night❤❤
Just got home from work needed this so happy this popped up. Thank you let's read
Time to get a nap while listening to Let's Read.
Sorry to wake you up but goodnight and have a great day or night MakotoFan92
These long vids are my fav!!
Length is nice but width is where its' at.
I usually _HATE_ scary stories. I actively avoid horror films. For some reason I'm inexplicably drawn to this channel.
The story about blue blood is brilliant.
It's certainly a great story.
That first story was so good. Damn.
Engaging story.
As I’m listening to the story where the lady wants to send that poor girl to the angels, there’s a mini ad for angel soft 😅 ooooffff that’s creepy lol. Love your videos! Your voice is so soothing too which makes it even better.
Awesome reading today.
what are you doing here >:)
Perfect ty so much 💞💞 you don't know how much listening to your stories help me❣️
Good timing 🎉
Thank u for getting me through my shift 🙏
Sleep well everyone.
Thank you for not being monotone ❤
damn 3hours??? you’re too good ❤
It is the day before Thanksgiving and I live 45 mins away from Mechanicsburg.
I was told this would help me sleep...
I'm with ya. I also struggled with homelessness. For 2 1/2 years. Winter in Boston sucks even in a camper.
Bless yall.
I am happy for you. Being homeless is hard.
Great timing! Was just about to go try to fall sleep. Thanks!
I love this comment section
So many racing thoughts in my head at night. Only when I’m trying to fall asleep, and mentally exhausted.
Thanks Joel. I'll sleep well now.
Graveyard shift & here I am enjoying this comp
Also I still drink chocolate milk and eat banana muffins 🙃
Take care of yourself Joel
Much love from Alabama! Thanks for the bedtime stories! 🫶🏻❤️
I love u so much Joel ur the best thing of my day
To everyone who clarifies everything with "I have so... > please don't.
I’m literally driving past Mechanicsburg near the area in the first story as I started this. Small world
