The story around 1:04 I have experienced almost exactly except for me- I sat in the final stall on the end. Someone came in and sat at the very stall next to me, of the 30 or so available. I wait and wait- no restroom noises to be had. I keep checking to see if dudes feet were still there, and after like the third time of looking, I came up to realize the TP roll holder was GONE, and in it's place one big brown eye staring through the hole. I am FLOORED but try to pretend I didn't see the eye. After a few I look again and the eye is still there!!!! SO I get up and run out and tell my buddy who was waiting outside to gtfot and we left. Not sure if it was a perv or if it was a glory hole- but that never left my memory to this day!
I just subscribed to the chilling app. I like to listen to these when I walk but the signal isn't always great so I'm going to download some stories for my midnight strolls. Great content as always, Joel!
I can relate to the Wendy's worker because I'm currently experiencing weird things at my restaurant job. One instance was my boss and I were closing it down for the night. It was just us. We were quietly working because we were both tired and ready to go home. I was washing dishes as she was cleaning the grill when I heard a faint whisper like someone asking a question. I turned to my boss and asked her what she said. She said, "I didn't say anything, but I heard it too." This has been coupled with spatulas falling off their hooks, plates falling for no reason, my name being called when no one is there, and figures that I catch out of the corner of my eye. Whenever I turn to look at them, there's nothing there. Just recently discovered that the place used to a funeral home about 40 something years ago.

"Yeah, I fell asleep when I was supposed to be watching my young children in a different state. When I woke up, a dirty, creepy Mickey Mouse was leading them away from me. Obviously I wanted to give him $20! I'm a Dad, I swear". That story was either made up by someone who has no children, or he's a Grade A fool.

That's true. I believe it was the late 80s. A man poisoned his own son. After taking out an insurance policy out on his son. That is where the story comes from.
The story with ray - it definitely WAS that ride operators fault?? Surely it would have been at least common sense, if not an actual safety procedure, to check that it was all clear?

Having listened to this comp so many times, I cant get over how mad the line at 44:22 makes me. It WAS the operators fault, they were not operating the skyway within safety limits, they did not do a walk around or check. I really don't think blame for that sort of thing can be brushed off, the operator be it unintentional killed that guy.
That's what I thought too. Dude can can tell himself it was "nobody's fault" but it most certainly was. Idgaf. Safety protocols were in place, I'm sure. If the operator ignored those protocols? Then their fault. Intentional? No. But it was a completely avoidable accident.
