I found the Sony medical version at a local hospital that was closed down, 20M2MDU and its a great set. 1 of every input is a great option and its super crisp.
There was one of those exact sets up for auction at the university of Washington surplus store a couple months ago. I think it sold for about $650. What year did you get yours?
Loved the opening, I was almost about to skip it, a habit built from the pain of many youtubers failed comedy bits, but it got me. Goes without saying the rest was as amazing as always. You always did look like someone who used to be a bit of a party animal 😁. You know what they say about fishermen.
I have a 1351q that has a busted bezel, neck board and power switch from shipping. It also developed a vertical fold over from the damage. I'm hopping it's not the flyback or its pretty much done. I did find a bulging cap and have decided to do a cap replacement for the A board as a last resort.
Such a great unit Olympus made for sure Steve. I mean, you think of Sony, Panasonic, JVC when it comes to classic units. But Olympus always is left in the dust. Which is a real bummer because they did such great work, but nobody seems to take notice of them. Great work as always Steve. But you're feeling much better and having Brutus by your side bro. 8^) Anthony..
Would you be able to repair a TIMM CRT that no longer powers on? The light comes on the front, but no buzzing and no tube turning on. Worked fine for a few years (maybe 100 hours of use)
Hi, i have the same monitor. and i have a problem with the front buttons. the + and - doesnt function and the Degauss and Slip are inverted. The Slip button Degauss the monitor. I already down the board and check visually, ii is fine, no cracks or short circuits, the buttons do the right sound click, i clean and reconect all, but that dont help. Any clue, its apreciate. Thanks.
hi there love your content ,I'm still quite new to the scene coming from south africa . I just bought some 14N6E was wondering if you could maybe do a video on the tiers or levels of pvm's and BVM and perhaps like abit of info on them .
You look better glad There are people who believe they know you and your worth and they couldn't be very bright correct? You and others did not deserve what you got from those shots
It's like a scheme. You keep buying monitors and having them shipped and oh surprise, it was damaged in shipping. A couple of pics to the seller and boom. Full refund. While the pictures look dramatic, all the actual electronics are still working. Throw in a couple of videos making fun of sellers not properly packing the CRTs and not even your reputation takes a hit. Meanwhile, you're effectively destroying many monitors in the process. But hey, maybe you can puzzle together a 2030 from four scrap ones. Can't say I care for it anymore, to be honest.
I remember when Olympus was the “secret” PVM with a discount. Now it commands a premium and it’s only been two years in between.
That poster at the beginning. As soon as it appeared I thought, "Oh no. Here we go..."

Love my OEV 203. Love even more that I was able to repair it on my own thanks to you.

Schön das es Ihnen besser geht.
I agree, the OEV203 I picked up locally years ago is incredible. Still need to get my retro rack organized and cable managed.
Thanks for the video, pleasure to watch the process as always
I don't know if I'd call it the best CRT in the world for retro gaming but I like the video
Nice work. Shipping CRTs is always risky.
I have a BVM 2016p and I agree that the 600 line tube hits the sweet spot.
Que buen video Steve! Esos segundos hasta que el pvm encendió fueron eternos! Saludos desde Argentina!

Hey Steve, it was a pleasure to meet you at the JMU basketball game (in the concession line).
Dude! Thanks for commenting. Hopefully I'll see you again. I am a season ticket holder to the football games too!
Have you worked at baseball games as well?
hey i recognize that house lmao! Another great Video Steve! Thanks for the upload!
my god i saw a picture of that broken pvm but seeing it in this video is crazy. Ace Ventura must have delivered that yeah?
Well done Steve! I was not confident at first glance... lol.

You found a loophole in getting free PVMs.
Sounds a lot like the 20L2. 600 TVL, S-video, component, RGB. Probably my favorite PVM.

Quick question for anyone who can answer. Will the A board from a 14m2u work in a 14m4u?
Thanks for the help
Everyone loves a well executed hanging dong prank.

Like you did with the 14L5 switch Would there be a suitable replacement switch for a 2950q?
Yes, but you'd need to find the exact part number. That would be different from this one.
The elusive 20" D
You don’t have an email or social media to ask you questions?
who know how can i contact with Steve?
YT user Mad Drx has a 32” or 36” JVC D Series in his game room.

LIES - this is NOT the BEST CRT
Your right, it's the best Analog Retro Gaming CRT
