- Today I try to fix a Germany disaster save game but it looks like it could have been sabotaged! The console commands appear to have been used to quite an extent. Can I still save this Hearts of Iron 4 game?

No, no, no, don't change the 50 width military police division! It's 50 width for a very good reason. Military police (the support company) provides a multiplicative bonus to the suppression of a division, which means that as you add cavalry battalions to a division, you get the same amount of suppression boost for less overall support equipment; the bigger the division, the less of that division you will need as a garrison template for occupied territories. Also, the number of resistance-quelling garrison divisions you need for occupied territories can be fractional and all of the the equipment is sent and used automatically as well, meaning combat width doesn't matter at all.

@@N8UrM8 You're not wasting any manpower at all by making 50 width garrison divisions, because how much manpower is needed is calculated by the division's composition, not its size.
A 50 width cavalry division (with no MP) and a 2 width cavalry division (with no MP) will, in practice, require the exact same amount of equipment and manpower.
On the other hand, a 50 width cavalry division (with MP) will provide the same amount of suppression for less support equipment, infantry equipment, and manpower than a 2 width cavalry division (with MP).
I know why the horses were such chonkers. Feedback once said make your garrisons as Big as you can, because it would be as cost efficient as it can get.
Yupp. Either max cav + MP or 1 cav and MP if you have tons of support equipment. Most manpower and equipment efficient.
If Feedback said it, Alex almost has no choice but to do the opposite. It's a matter of principle. After all, he can't start listening to that guy.... XD

Yeah garrisons actually say which unit is the most efficient in suppression. 50 cw horses with military police makes the highest suppression per troop numbers without any motorized.
Only if you add MP brigade. Then, yes, it's cost-effective to add the 25 cavalry brigades.

The 50 combat width cavalry with MP is something I do. Its the most efficient suspression force in terms of resources. It is *not* for combat. Might actually be the only good thing the player has done :p
the 50 width cavalry I think are based on the Reman's Paradox guide to resistance and compliance.

yes, full cavalry garrisons with military police are meta, as they have the second highest suppression only after armoured cars.

You don't need that many to keep things under control Thats way to much.
yeah it might be too much but i am guessing with new dlc and new supply mechanics resistance will be more important so this might become the new meta

The police division makes sense, since it will reduce the amount of support equipment needed by garrisons down to a minimum. For that MP boost.

@@boxcarz he failed.... He should have had proper garissions, build up some tanks and just let planes disturb not challenge the air space. Plus getting proper field marshall traits like logistic wizard one of the best in the game instead of guerilla just because it is there. I mean cmon a normal ok Hoi player could save this if he knows the meta just a little. (40wth tanks go brrr)

It looked pretty grim from the beginning, but I think you would have done better if you hadn't brought Bulgaria into the war. They served much better as a neutral border than they did as a momentary ally.

The faction name was in portuguese, and it looks like it’s from the Brazilian type of portuguese. The translation of the faction name is: “Shared Prosperity Sphere of Oriental Asia”.

I feel like whoever sent this in decided to go after Franco for whatever reason despite failing to subdue Yugoslavia, and because of that it allowed the allies to flood into Europe.

It isn't a bad save, but the guy not played the game as intended: he completed 0 political focuses, 0 war focused. He tagged across the countries to fabricate wargoals and used focus no check and autocomplete. He needs to play the game as intended at least 1 time, then send the replay to you to fix it. I have currently a Finland save with RT56, I landed in Britain in WW2, I might send you the save, what can make out of it, but I will countine it too

I don't know. Maybe only allow Ironman saves for this kind of concept. Pretty daft "saving" a campaign that the player went out of their way to fuck up. If he really wanted the campaign to be saved he could have just used more of the console to do so.
