FINALLY: The official conclusion to the Finance-Arc
Gary confronts his dad in hopes of finally figuring out why he doesn't get access to his credit cards. Turns out that Raymond, Gary's Dad, truly believes that if he gives his son financial independence, he might spend it all on helping other people and end up broke and hungry. He already lost his wife due to her goodwill, he does not wish to lose his son.
But if that is what Gary wants - then so be it.
