Great stuff! I'm really looking forward to watching your adventures. Also, I'm curious about the approach to Vancouver Harbour and staying out of the way of those container ships. Perhaps a topic for a future episode?
There are designated shipping lanes that they need to stay in that are marked on Navionics. However, if they are going to pull in and anchor, they will slow down to 3-5kts. Channel 11 is harbour traffic and if they don’t hail you on that and you are in their path, they will on 16. Outside the harbour they come in hot at over 15kts and will bear down on you quick. Tugs pulling log booms, ferries, cruise ships, containers, always lots going on. All the commercial traffic is on AIS if u have that too. Good idea for an episode, thanks for watching.
So glad to see a new episode from you guys! Looking forward to the next one about the solar and batteries. Didn’t know Chris did that himself before we did ours.
Thanks Paul, going to get stocked up on aspirin. I have caught many since we filmed this but put on thick rubber gloves and am way more careful. Love Rockfish tacos.

Hey Jim, I will go over it in the next episode but did get some help from @pacificyachtsystems to make sure I didn’t fry everything.
Another great episode! Or As I like to call them 15 minutes with old friends. Keep them coming
Thanks Rob!! 😊
Thanks bro, if we don't get you up on the boat here, we will make it up the east coast one day.
@@Sailingbc coming to BC is on my next years bucket list. Christmas in Germany won out this year
Fantastic, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. We are finally finding some time to edit the last few years of footage. Hoping to make some good progress in the next bit 🍻
Thanks Andre.
I found if you get pricked by a rockfish take an aspirin - it helps bigtime.

How long did it take you to learn all the sailing terminology or are you still learning?
I’m definitely still learning but Chris has got it dialed.
It takes a while, not always intuitive. I mean come on, who calls a rope that trims a sail, a "sheet" lol
